This is a great little budget hotel. It’s above a clothing shop which they also run. It’s in the center of town and the ladies running the place are available from 7 AM to 7 PM.

If there is a late or early check in they sleep over. It’s important to communicate your arrival time if you intend to check in outside of those times. Note that if you book via Booking.com they don’t respond to messages you leave there. They do promptly respond to emails however.

The rooms are very small and the traffic noise is bad as the hotel is above a main road. You’ll want to pack a good pair of ear plugs (preferably the wax ones you can burrow over your ear drums). You’ll need them for the rest of your Pacific trip anyway( cars; roosters; dogs; loud music).

While you’re at it, also bring eye shades as the curtains let in light.

Also, I didn’t know what “private bathroom” means. It’s not en-suite. You get a private toilet and bathroom down the hall that is locked and only you have the keys for. Not the greatest set up but doable.

Everything is spotlessly clean. There is a washer and dryer and staff will do your laundry for an extra charge. The room comes with a generous 2 GB a night of WIFI. If you need more it costs 10 Tala for another 2 GB.

The room also has a TV and fridge.

Breakfast is included: cereal; oatmeal and coffee or tea. They kindly also made me a scrambled egg for free. So kind. You can use their kitchen and cook for yourself if you want to.

The best thing is the staff. The ladies are very kind and truly want you to have a good stay.

You’ll also get your meet other guests there as the dining area is communal. Nice and interesting people: overseas Samoans visiting family or attending church conferences; foreign NGO workers and the odd tourist.

I’d stay here again.

Even if my arrival didn't go as planned, I got there with the first bus of the day. It was an adventure all to itself.
They let me wait for my room in the lobby area, and served me some breakfast.
Room #6 was clean and comfortable. Shower and toilet was down at the hall, but that was fine by me!
I didn't find it noisy or anything, room had great ac, tv was working but no colors (I didn't mind).
The ladys who run the place are really nice and helpful!
I really enjoyed my stay in Samoa and in Talofa inn!
Thank you Fa'afetai

In the past year I spent a total of four months in Samoa and i stayed at the Talofa Inn whenever I was in Apia. Location is great; a supermarket and a taxi stand just across the street, fruit and veggie market, Farmers, town centre all in close walking distance. I don't have a drivers license, so that was very convenient, even though it gets very hot in town.
They also offer a car rental, which I can't really say anything about, but the other guests always seem to be very happy with the offered price (reduced price for guests).
The Talofa Inn is on a busy street, but as soon as you enter it you already "calm down". Six rooms are available, I stayed in four of them (once I got treated to an upgrade, because of my recurring visits). The rooms are spacious, the doubles are ensuite and if you book a single room you have your a wash basin inside the room and your bathroom outside the room. Fan and aircondition work very well. The entire place is very clean and tidy and your room is looked after daily.
You receive a certain amount of free wifi at your arrival, measured on how many nights you stay (250mb per day).
The girls working at the Talofa Inn are very nice and just lovely. Leausa is an absolute gem! We went to see a concert together during Teuila Festival and if you want to go somewhere she's just happy to give you advice or even accompany you.
And the breakfast: superb! It was hands down the best I had in all my four months in Samoa. It changes a bit every day and Leausa serves local dishes, like coco rice or the banana soup. There's always a seasonal fruit plate, toast if you want to,egg, coffee or tee. What I loved the most wast the german bun :-)
As a guest you're also allowed to use the kitchen for cooking, if you don't want to go out for dinner all the time or are a long- time stayer.
I also appreciated that they offer a laundry service (for 20 WST, incl. drying), after all the handwashing it was so good to have the work a washing machine done.
I will be back next year and if I'm going to stay in town, Talofa Inn will be my very first and only choice to stay at.
The place still seems to be a bit unknown along the taxi drivers of Samoa so if you book make sure you know where it is so you can tell them (in my experience the sentence "across the street from Lucky Foodtown" gives the way perfectly :-) )
Faafetai tele lava!

I spent last week in the Talofa Inn, and it was mostly a very good experience. The ladies running the place were friendly and gracious. My bed was very comfortable, the air-conditioning was both efficient and quiet, the shower worked well and my room was kept very clean (even the duvet was changed while I stayed there). I didn't spend much time in the breakfast area or lounge, but having the outdoor patio was great - I'd go out and have a quiet smoke and a beer and read, as well as occasionally doing some work. The location was great - two blocks up from the sea front, with two supermarkets within 100 metres.

I only had a couple of minor niggles. The TV's have portable aerials: the TV in the lounge seemed to have a decent signal, but the signal in my room was very fuzzy - maybe they could set the aerials up for optimum reception? The other niggle is about the wifi - the ISP was not very reliable, so there was a whole day when wifi was just not available. Obviously, this is not the fault of the Talofa people, but it was a feature of my stay.

I’m sorry it has taken me so long to write this! I could not have picked a better place to stay in Apia! From the minute I arrived at Talofa Inn, I was made to feel right at home! The location is a little off the beaten path, but it is still right in the middle of Apia town. It is within walking distance to restaurants, supermarket, gym, shops and services. As I had travelled over for business this was very convenient.
The rooms are super clean and the bath is very clean. The breakfast area is super and the breakfast great! This B&B is different from any other I have stayed in - you have your own key to come and go as you please, and there is a kitchen which you are free to use. Internet is also provided and was good enough to check emails and skype.
They have a very lovely outdoor terrace that is unbelievable! One of the best terraces I have seen and I made use of it to sit back at the end of the day and enjoy a Vailima.
I would love to stay here again, everything was great! Thanks Kirsten and the Talofa Inn crew :)

I chose Talofa Inn for its central location and good reviews here and I wasn't disappointed. It is located about 10 minutes walk to the flea market/bus terminal and about 5 minutes walk to the fresh produce market. There's a small supermarket just opposite Talofa Inn and a Chinese fastfood restaurant (which is also open on Sundays) just 2 blocks away.

The room was clean with a fan, air conditioning and a sink. The single room I stayed in didn't have an en-suite bathroom but a bathroom allocated for my exclusive use was just down the hallway.

There's free wifi of 300MB daily but there was no TV in the room although there was a TV with bad reception in the common area. There's a communal kitchen and they serve a slightly varied breakfast everyday - one morning I was served a fried egg with fruits while another morning I was served pancakes and fruits.

The best thing about Talofa Inn is its staff, they were very helpful in offering information/directions and arranging transportation. They were also extremely polite and friendly.

This was my first place to stay in Samoa - and I can highly recommend it for value for money, cleanliness, hospitable staff, and the location. The staff Laousa and Nive were lovely women and very helpful. the inn is very comfortable and quiet and relaxing. Good air con in each room - you have your own bathroom, nice deck outside for sitting in during the day and evening. very close to the vegetable market and a supermarket right across the road. Vaea street is main road . you can't go wrong!

Perfectly located in town close to everything. The staff there are amazing. Super friendly and accommodating. Arranged my transfer from the airport for a 530 pick up, allowed me into my room when I arrived around 6:30am which was amazing so I could have abit of a sleep before exploring! Everything is within walking distance and there are plenty of cabs if it gets too hot. I hired a car from downstairs at the hotel all done by the staff. If you love a sleep in it can get abit noisy in the morning being on a main road but as a light sleeper it was fine for me.
