My husband and I have stayed at Insel Fehmarn Hotel on several occasions. We love the location its very close to Apia Township, with nice restaurants close by. We are always greeted with a happy smile and helpful hand by the staff(concierge) when we arrive, and they take our bags up to our room. At the reception to check in, Patricia (Trish) and her colleagues always welcomes us with a happy friendly smile. Trish is always very helpful and nothing is a problem if you ask. There are 3 levels, but there is no lift up to the top floors but the staff are there to help you carry your bags up to your room. We always book a room up on the 3rd floor. We love the view, quietness our kitchenette and all the rooms have balconies. The rooms are very clean. The restaurant we love the Island Night BBQ and the Sunday Lunch buffet. The staff are very helpful and friendly. They give good service. Insel Fehmarn is one of our favourite hotel in Apia

I regret booking here, there are cheaper hotels that are better in the area. The staff are lovely, but the cleaning is horrible. When I checked in there was alcohol can and conditioner on the table next to me bed, used bars of soap and dirty glass. Tired at 3am I just slept and the next day I listed everything that had to be done in my room. The lovely staff did follow through but they were inconsistent.
Some days they wouldn't put conditioner, one day the glass was dirty, and one day they didn't refill coffee sachets. There's no sugar or tea in the room.
On checkout they tried to charge me for a wifi which I never asked for or used, I told them to rewind the cctv, I have my mobile data I did not need the wifi. Anyways they didn't charge me for it after some resistance from my side.
I don't think I'll ever stay here or recommend this place to anyone.
Outrigger Samoa is much better I've been told.

Had an interesting start to my 5 night stay here. Arrived at the hotel at 5am, after booking for the previous night to ensure immediate access to the room, to be shown into a dirty unmade up room. Took about an hour for the housekeepers to arrive and make up the room. The staff were very apologetic both in the early hours of the morning and later that day.
The staff are the best thing about this hotel - they are friendly and obliging. The rooms are tired, but are consistent with most Samoan hotels.
The provided breakfast was ok, but you need to be at breakfast early to have a selection. The restaurant itself ran out of bread and other things on the menu on the Sunday.
The location was ok, about a 30 minute walk to downtown but be aware of the roaming dogs.

After 60 days at Insel, I can only recommend this as a place to stay, I will be back soon. German efficiency and its heritage (named after an island in the north of Germany) is a reflection in the staff work practises. The staff are friendly, particularly front desk Patricia and team, always addressing by your name and the cleaning staff (Elizabeth on 3rd floor) professional in their excellence to completing their tasks. The room was comfortable, with air con/fan and a good size kitchenette.

The customer service at Insel was the best we experienced our whole time in Samoa. The buffet breakfast was yummy with a good selection of hot & cold foods. We stayed in the Superior room on the 2nd floor, the beds were comfy, our room was clean, plus the air con & fan work brilliantly which was bliss. The pool is lovely for cooling off in the heat. Overall the place is a bit dated so doesn't look much from the road but they keep it clean & tidy, the laundry was so useful & the gift shop very reasonably priced! The location was great for food stores nearby, Giordano's over the road is the place to go for lunch & dinner, plus there's a massage place 2 doors down which is handy. Highly recommend for value for money

Stayed there many years ago so nice to be back. The rooms are comfortable and still enjoy having the kitchen facilities to cook our own meals. They make great cocktails and food is delicious. Just initial issues with trying to call through to book but eventually all sorted. Our group of girlfriends enjoyed the pool.

Hi I had a very positive experience at this hotel, the staff are very friendly and the lady in charge at reception can help you with any questions you may have, she is very helpful. I think it is good value for money considering how close you are to town, you can get a taxi in no time. We had no issues during our stay, rented 2 rooms for a week and also use the hotel transfer to get us to the airport at the end of our trip. I definitely recommend it.

We had a very nice stay! Friendly & responsible staff, nice restaurant with a big menu, and accommodating rooms with anything that you could need. We stayed there during a very stormy period and felt safe and supported during that time. Staff member Patricia is very friendly and helpful!

I've heard a lot of mixed reviews with customer service in Samoa and let me tell you, the service that Insel Fehmarn has provided for me and my parents was by far the best that I've experienced overall in general. From our arrival to our check-in, to our daily breakfast and assisting with everyday need, Patricia and her staff are the best we could ever ask for any hotel need. I am very impressed with the best customer service ever. Thank you Patricia and Insel staff.

A quick 10 days has passed by. I must say that the hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. Shoutout to Patricia at the front desk who went above and beyond to help out with any issue no matter how big or small. The room cleaning and kitchen staff were great too.
