Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Lovely and friendly staff at the front desk, dining area and generally everywhere in the hotel. A big thank you to Tai and Lofi (front desk) they were awesome and accommodating with our bungalow room needs. It's simple but very spacious.

The ladies at touch of samoa (Malia and Dorothy) who provided such great massages with reasonable prices. The quality of the massage was A+ must recommend it. The whole experience at Sheraton was positive, its clean and enjoyable to stay. The only minor problem was the breakfast. We asked for poached eggs but it turned out to be a fully cooked eggs. Thank you Sheraton for a lovely service.

If you want to stay in the heart of Apia then this is it.
I would not put it in the resort category but rather a hotel with a decent pool.
We stayed in a bungalow. Whilst it was pleasant and clean if you like to have a window open rather than rely on air conditioning all the time it is not for you. No opening windows. We spent a lot of time sitting in the two chairs on the front porch. Our room did not have a safe. We had to ask for it. We got one on the second day off our stay. I would suggest that you use the safe.
Breakfast was included for us each day. It
had some rather strange dishes but also the regular. I'm not a coffee drinker but apparently it was not great. Service was a bit hit and miss. Everyday was a new day.
Pool bar was never open but there was always someone around to get a drink from. Pool towels were always on the bar though.
We had a few dinners in the open restaurant. The coconut pie was delicious.
Had the degustation dinner at Aggie's.
The staff were mostly great. They tried hard.
I found the biggest issue was the tiles that are all around the pool and in the open areas between the rooms. It's the wet season it rains every day and those tiles are like an ice skating rink when wet. The biggest accident waiting to happen. I would never recommend for a disabled or elderly person to stay there because of this.

Our family loved our stay here. The staff were amazing and very helpful. Anything we asked for they provided it for us. We will definitely be staying here again on our futures trips back to Samoa, and have already recommended it to friends and family who are travelling to Samoa soon. The F&B team were the best! They were always smiling and had the coffee and pool towels ready for us.

An amazing experience I will never forget 😊

We had 2 events hosted by sheraton which was schuster family reunion and I must say that the service provided and the food was amazing, Carlos who has assisted us through out is amazing, not forgetting ernest, Kirk and tino at the bar who always serve our family with a smile. If your looking for a place to host a big event trust me sheraton is the place to book. Thank you Sheraton staff for all your hard work and friendly service. Well done to the chefs as well.

Cheers

The hotel has a mixture of good and poor rooms, making it harder to appreciate the difference for the funds. My room was fine, after rejecting the minimalist first room offered. Food facilities at the hotel are limited, the choice is also limited and the quality at best variable.

The front desk staff are a problem. They do not appear to be adequately trained and difficulties I encountered have still not been resolved months later.

I recommend not giving the hotel a card to charge for incidentals but instead using cash which can be wthdrawn from the ATM machine at the hotel.

I had a week here with my mother in a bungalow fale. The staff were exceptional. Ever friendly and helpful. They don't get paid much and always appreciate a tip. It was within close walking distance to both the city centre and markets as well as a short stroll away from world class snorkelling- Palolo Deep. I would stay here again and recommend to friends and family.

Aggie Grey's is a wonderful place to stay. The staff are the best and the food is exceptional.

Our room was clean, spacious and comfortable.

Would highly recommend Sheraton Aggie Grey's to anyone visiting Apia and we will definitely return when we come back to this beautiful country.

We had been looking forward to this holiday for months As was our first o whereas trip after covid. Howere, this was the worst holiday experience I have ever had.

When we got here we found out the pool area was closed and was a noisy and messy a construction site. Beaches near the resort aren’t good for swimming with all the volcanic rock so having a resort pool is a necessity in this heat. There was no outdoor seating so you had to sit and stay in your room - but the tv in the room did not work (lucky I had my puzzle book as the hotel had no board games or books for guests and it could have been a very boring time.

The main restaurant was closed. The gym was closed. Only the basic buffet restaurant was open. Our bills had extra meals and charges on them so if you do go, double check your bill. we were offered a free meal on our last night but could not take it up as there was a three hour long power cut and the restaurant had closed. Then we had a water outage the next morning so no water either.

The worst part was there was absolutely no communication from Aggie Grays or the Sheraton group that any of the facilities were out of order so it was a very rude surprise on arrival.

Sheraton should be ashamed and o would expect that they would offer their guests some dining vouchers or a partial refund. I will not book Sheraton again because of this.
Bitterly disappointed and brassed off having spent so much on such a poor experience. Other guests were just as annoyed as us.

I have to say the staff are lovely and seem quite embarrassed. It is a real shame.

We had lunch by the pool this week and both ordered the Tiger Prawns on a skewer. What arrived were not Tiger Prawns they were tiny prawns which were overcooked and tough. We complained to the staff who apologised and said they did not have Tiger Prawns. No attempt to reimburse or offer a free drink/dessert. This should not be advertised on the menu as such if they cannot supply. We were not advised they were unavailable when we ordered. This I am sure is illegal, false advertising. I mentioned it to the Front Desk as we were leaving and her response was to leave a review on their website !!!! I should add that the restaurant staff were very pleasant.
We have been looking forward to the reopening of this iconic hotel but will never go back after this experience. Very sad.

Yes the hotel can definitely offer you the king sized bed. As for the shower, they have few different toilet designs. Some the stand shower is over the bath, some has separate bath and stand shower and this will be the bigger toilets. Do request your preference to the hotel, they will accommodate to it.
