We stopped here to visit family. Very very cool fales! Nice location with plenty of room outside for the kids to run around. Fales are also private too with plenty to offer! Great friendly and welcoming staff and a great location. Beautiful plants and gardens.

Totally chilled out and relaxing place to unwind, set in the beautiful foothills of the lush tropical mountainside. Accommodation was clean, comfortable with a true Samoan feel, while having all the comforts of home. The hospitality was great too....not to mention the beautiful tropical delights that grow on the property. Would recommend to anyone wanting to get away from the hustle and bustle. It is also just a cheap bus trip into Apia for shopping, dining etc.

Stayed here to get some local content on our holiday instead of just resorts. Enjoyed the fresh fruit and food delivered every day, the biggest & best pawpaw of the whole holiday.
Ideal accomodation if you have a rental car and are going out & about sightseeing (visiting the turtles) and visiting other side of island.

This is our 5th stay at this amazing place. It is quiet, away from Apia yet a bus stop outside door or taxi stand down the road which Mary will ring if you ask. Jacinta is a wonderful, caring host and when you arrive the fridge is full of water, milk, eggs, butter . There are frsh flowers on the bed and around the place and also a fruit bowl on the table with pawpaw and bananas. Every night Jacinta or 1 of her family deliver fresh bread to you. The gardens are beautiful and peaceful and is a lovely place just to relax and stress out before moving on to other parts of Samoa. Bruce and I always stay there at the beginning of our trip from NZ. Just lovely and so peaceful. Jacinta and family are lovely hosts and we thoroughly recommend Talanoa fales to anyone. It is much better than a big resort.

We wanted to get away from the tourist centers and spend time with locals and enjoy the tranquility of the tropical mountain area. We were delivered the best tropical fruit every morning and on Sunday were presented with a typical Samoan Sunday lunch meal that was so delicious. It went down well after attending Sunday morning church and was a treat to hear the singing. Definitely need a rental car to get around the Island and visit all the wonderful spots. Highlight for the kids was swimming with the turtles while my highlight was sitting on the porch in the evening enjoying the local beer from Farmer Joe's and listening to the wild life. Must treat yourself and travel on the local buses but pay when you get of.

The girlfriend and I stayed here in late august/ early september. This place is beautiful. a short drive to downtown Apia but away from the tourist crowd. You get your own fale along with fresh fruit and vegetables that are grown on site.
The fale consists of bed, tv, kitchen, and bathroom. We didnt use the TV but everything else was used to the max. So much so that we found that there is a limit on the water, so keep the showers to a minimum.
Pros: Food is included. More fruits than you can ever consume. You are away from the big tourist area. Sleeping in a fale not a hotel because you are in Samoa. Bus route runs but the property and a taxi stand is a 5-10 minute walk.
Cons: Water does run out. You must use the mosquito net. The chickens can be loud and the rain is noisy on the metal roofs.

Review:
Thank you so much Talanoa Fales for accomodating myself and my mum & aunty for the last 4 days.
I was referred by my sister in law who found you via FB & instantly I asked for her to book us in ASAP.
When we checked in on Monday the service was absolutely beyond words, cannot fathom how happy we are with Talanoa fales.
We were greeted and given a plate of fruits & water bottles.
Breakfast was served every morning, different varieties of breakfast which is inclusive of the room price.
Aircon was absolutely strong in this humid weather.
The rooms were absolutely clean & tidy which concluded the kitchen and bathrooms.
It had every essentials that we needed.
Such a good sleep every night we stayed here, cannot fault anything.
Staff here are just so outstanding with their customer service very exceptional.
Thank You Talanoa fales I highly recommend this place to everyone and most definitely will he staying here again as well as spreading the word to families.
Thank You Talanoa Fales xoxox

arrived at 5 a.m. but this was no problem for Jacinta who was ready and welcomed us warmly. Best of all, she left us alone after a few minutes, sensing that we needed some sleep. Woke and explored a couple of hours alter - gardens were immaculate and bursting with colour. Beds were comfortable, fale was spotlessly clean with a natty little kitchen provided which we used for several meals. Also provided breakfast - bread, eggs, coffee, milk, and an enormous bowl of delicious tropical fruit.
Local bus (4 tala to Apia city for2 adults, 2 kids) goes past front gate.
Only downside was the early morning wakeup from some nearby roosters who were fairly persistent.

Response from E_e31-sa, Owner at Talanoa Fales Accommodations
Responded 18 Jul 2017
It was a pleasure hosting you and your beautiful daughters. After you left we hosted our first meeting ever at Fale 5 where you first stayed. It was a small board meeting for Goshen Mental Health Services. The members were very happy and enjoyed the cool breeze at our Samoan fale where your family had dinner and your breakfast sometimes. Thank you for sharing and we hope you will visit us again in the future. All the best from all of us at Talanoa Fales Accommodations.

My family and I stayed here for 8 days. We were spread out between 2 Fales. Jacinta and the team are beautiful people. Very welcoming. Her niece Maria and her husband who live there are such amazing people and we're very good to us. Their laundry service is very cheap. Its 5 Tala a load and that includes them hanging and folding it for you. They give you fresh bread every day for breakfast. They provide you with traditional samoan food on Sundays which was awesome. I miss this place and have decided that it's where I will stay every time I visit Samoa. Being allowed to eat the fruit off the trees was awesome too. Good way to try most of the tropical fruit the island has to offer. The best part of the Fales is not having to worry about too much noise and disturbing other guests as opposed to being in a hotel. These reviews don't do the Talanoa Fales justice. You have to try it out for yourself :)
