After an overnight flight from Brisbane we arrived in Apia at 6am. The hotel shuttle from the Amanaki Hotel (chargeable) was already waiting for us at the airport. We arrived at our hotel, which is only separated from the sea by a not busy road, just in time for breakfast, and were given a very warm welcome. We only booked this hotel for a few nights to explore Apia and the surrounding area, then we continued to the paradisiacal south of the island of Upolu.
When we had finished the delicious breakfast, we were informed that our room was ready, which was a great benefit after the overnight flight from Australia. The entire complex and the pool area made a very well-kept impression. Our room was functionally furnished, very spacious and had a nice terrace with direct access to the pool area. Since there were no elevators, we were very happy with a room on the ground floor. We used WiFi in the room for a fee. Breakfast was served at Amanaki Restaurant.
The location of the hotel was excellent, just a few minutes walk from the center of Apia. The cleanliness of the hotel, the beautiful pool in front of our terrace for a morning swim in the cool water and the super friendly staff convinced us. An amazing hotel to spend a few days in Apia !!

We booked directly with the hotel and all communication prior to our stay was very helpful and prompt. Our transfer from the ferry terminal was arranged through the hotel. We enjoyed our 4 night stay here in a large ground floor room, which was clean, modern and comfortable, and had direct access to a lovely pool. The location is good; just a short walk into town.
Breakfast was basic – help yourself to cereal, toast and fruit and tea/coffee. The restaurant is understandingly popular for dinner as it was very good and reasonably priced.

The owner and staff at Amanaki were incredibly helpful before my arrival, organising a shuttle service from the airport and after my 3 day stay here organising taxis for the the transport to the ferry wharf when I left Apia for Savaii. The personal attention and friendliness has extended to my one night return here before heading for the airport early tomorrow. The rooms have a lovely breeze off the water (a/c in each room if required) and are well maintained. Nothing seems to be a trouble. Restaurant quite rightly gets good reviews, the pool is rather special with little water falls and the lush gardens full of birdsong. A ten minute walk to town and across the road from a park and lovely harbour wall walk. Taxis called come in a few minutes and the bus terminus is a few minutes walk away. Highly recommend.

The rooms are very spacious and the beds comfortable. The only thing that would’ve improved our stay is if the mattresses had mattress protectors. The restaurant is fantastic and the breakfast was awesome - it was advertised as tropical breakfast however it also included eggs (cooked how you want) or pancakes. Such great value!!! The pool is very well-maintained. Overall a great stay and would’ve stayed longer if I’d known how awesome this hotel is.

Simply the very best in every respect. Excellent accommodation with excellent bed & bedding, excellent tea & coffee station, excellent fridge & TV and an excellent ensuite bathroom where everything was immaculate. The airconditioning was quiet and perfect. The drapes were super and excluded the bright morning sun. The balcony was excellent with wonderful views over the excellent pool to Apia Harbour beyond and visiting cruise ships. The pool was tepid and clean. Breakfasts and lunches are excellent. Dinners are absolutely brilliant and very reasonably priced hence the high number of locals who choose to dine out at Amanaki. The poached swordfish with citrus and basil sauce would win most cookery competitions. In conclusion, the Amanaki Hotel richly deserved the "excellent" adjective I've used repeatedly. It's excellent value and located within an easy walk to the town centre. I can't wait to stay there again. 10/10.

Friendly staff, comfy rooms, hot and powerful shower, and swimming pool very nice to cool off in. Previous reviews all accurate. Restaurant easy choice and very popular. Food is excellent and do a 1.5L jug of draft beer for 15tala. Bargain of the pacific. Cocktails good value too. Complimentary breakfast great and surprised to see it included either 3 pancakes or two eggs on toast, cooked to order. Recommended for your stay in Apia

I was last at Amanaki Hotel eight years ago and I was glad to see the place is still the same: welcoming and clean. The staff is friendly. The rooms are spacious and look out to the sea or the very inviting pool. The simple, but good breakfast selection includes fresh fruit, toast, cereals and a choice of eggs or pancakes -- just enough to get you ready for the day. It is just a stone's throw from the seawall and from Apia city centre. The restaurant, which is always in high demand, serves the best fish and chips and caters for all tastes and budgets. Thanks again to all the staff for the enjoyable week I spent there on my recent work trip.

My parents travelled from NZ and whilst you cannot help but worry, Amanaki Hotel & its staff took all the worries away for us!! Right from the beginning when sorting there booking, communication and confirmation of booking was speedy.

My parents thoroughly enjoyed their stay with Amanaki, rooms were clean & safe. Food at the Restaurant was amazing! One big thing my parents pointed out was the staff. Right from the Owners, front office staff & Restaurant staff, thank you for making my parents stay an awesome experience. For being so accommodating but most of all respectful!!

We look forward to staying with Amanaki in the near future!
