Just a gem this little place, if you want to step away from the usual resort buzz! It has everything we want, small, private, personal, clean, youre not just a room number! The place is run by the loveliest owner/operator family who go out of their way to help in any way. It doesnt have a restaurant but Lupe and Dean are up with all the current "eats" in town! And theres plenty!! Their local themed breakfasts are the best in town as Lupe sources the seasonal market products and throws in local breakfast dishes ( vaisalo) my Aussie mates just adore!!

If you're looking for privacy with a homey feel then Vaea Hotel is ideal. We had a decent size room, bed is comfortable, fully aircon, clean with a great patio looking out to Mt Vaea. We were offered bottles of water on arrival and that was such a warm welcome on a hot afternoon. Owners, Dean & Lupe are fantastic hosts and very accomodating from the day we arrived. Both had good knowledge of places to see and where to go for great food. We hired a car and parking was never a problem at the property. We really enjoyed great breakfast and smell of local coffee in the morning ending with evening of cocktails. Try out their magaritas! Although there is no restaurant on site, there are plenty of restaurants and off road BBQ nearby. Just down the road is the anazing Coffee Roaster, check it out! Sadly we didn't get to try the swimming pool as we were too busy but we had a great time sitting near the pool admiring the spectacular garden. Vaea hotel is in a great location and only a short walk to Apia (5mins). Already our favourite. Vaea Hotel is a perfect choice for accommodation if you want a private, charming and a very clean hotel with accommodating staff. Excellent hosts, highly recommended. Thank you Dean & Lupe and we'll see you again!!!

We loved our stay at Vaea Hotel. Our room had a beautiful outlook, it was very clean and comfortable. The pool was lovely, and the owners were fantastic - so helpful and kind. This hotel was great value for money, a nice breakfast was provided too. It was a little oasis in the city of Apia.

I recently stayed here with my aunty and it was amazing! The cleanliness of the rooms and the hotel in general was amazing! Not to mention the fantastic hospitality from Lupe and Dean! They were always great with their knowledge of the island and suggestions of where to journey to. The location of the hotel is great because your right in town and close to many restaurants. Oh definitely got to say Lupe makes a great koko laisa!! I would definitely stay here again! Thanks Lupe and Dean.

Vaea Hotel is located just off the main road coming into Apia. We stayed here on three separate nights over the course of a week as we used it as a base for road tripping to different parts of the main island. For this purpose it was most convenient. The hotel is owned and run by a Samoan family who were fantastic and contributed to a relaxed and comfortable stay. They were very friendly, provided really helpful recommendations, and assisted us when my partner was not feeling well, with some local tea which worked wonders. The rooms were neat and tidy, and we slept comfortably. We would definitely stay here again.

We stayed for 5 days here and used it as a hub to explore the main island. It is close to Apia city reachable for 3 tala by taxi or a 15min walk. The owner family was really nice and helped us out in all matters. The stay has a bit a family character which is nice. We enjoyed our stay here and can highly recommend it!

Yeah!, yeah? Ohhhh? Yeeeeaaaah? Vaea hotel..... Hmmmm? It's nice enough... The owners are super freindly and the hotels very close to everything.. The rooms are OK... A bit old skool.. The breakfast is alright.. But... There are better places available if you look... This review is hard for me as I'm indifferent... I think what I didn't like was the lack of care for the hotel itself... Maybe it's just the owners being super chilled.. Which I get... Or? Maybe they are just over it... Which isn't cool... Ugh so tricky... We did enjoy our stay... But won't be back...

I stayed for two weeks at Vaea Hotel in June 2017. I was impressed with how professionally run the place was by the indigenous Samoan family that owns it. The rooms were very neat and tidy, breakfast was good, the pool was divine, and the rate charged was reasonable. I couldn't get over the well manicured and tended flower gardens around the pool. I became very good friends with the owners during my stay and will not hesitate to stay at the place again should I ever visit Apia again.

This is a well priced option in Apia. The hosts are excellent, we had a wonderful experience because of their recommendations. The pool is amazing with the hot weather. The breakfast was great and they were kind enough to leave it out a bit later than usual for us. Their personal touch and their attentive service made us feel relaxed and at home. We had a great time, thanks again team ☺
