The hotel is really nice and my room was clean, airy and spacious. The hotel is located very close to downtown so it is really easy to walk to everything. That having been said, the location made it very noisy in the morning (announcements at the school near by were made over a loud speaker at 7 am). Breakfast was not included but it was well worth staying there to eat. Reasonably priced and very good. Despite the early wake up I would still recommend staying here.

Clean and spacious rooms, a balcony with a hammock, good breakfast: in short, a great base for a stay in Baños. There are water taps with drinking water that you can use for free. The hotel has a courtyard and the center is within walking distance. La Floresta is a comfortable, quiet (in December) and clean retreat. They offer good size rooms with mountain and/or garden views. The rooms were updated and good sized. The restaurant is clean and friendly. The staff is exquisite. They offered help at every level. Several spoke English well and were always willing to help a traveler that speaks poquito Espanol. They offered several tour packages which I took advantage of. The tour guides were excellent and did double duty in Spanish and English. The hotel offers easy access (a few blocks. easy walk.) to downtown Banos and the bus station yet is far enough off the main streets to allow for restful sleep and contemplation while you sit in the garden to recap your day with a glass of wine. I highly recommend La Floresta to anyone looking to take advantage of the beauty and tour offerings of Banos and not just to go partying.

Beautiful hotel with lush gardens in the courtyard. Very large rooms (we had 3 beds!). You are about an easy 10 minute walk to the hot spring pools. After a warm soak in the water you can get a terrific massage for $20 an hour. Banos is not very large so it’s easy to walk around to the shops and restaurants. Breakfast is buffet style and if you’re lucky grab a seat outside in the courtyard. Beautiful hotel and the staff are very friendly and helpful.

We spent a night in Banos at this hotel while doing a G Adventures tour. The hotel is not very big, but it is super comfortable and cozy. There are hammocks and chairs spread throughout so you can relax and socialize outside of your room. The garden in the centre of the hotel was a nice touch. This hotel is a short walk to the hot springs which was great. My biggest complaint was the noise. Room 206 must be beside a staff room of some sort. Very early in the morning we could hear loud conversation coming from our bathroom window which is immediately next the bathroom window of the next room. We had some issues figuring out the lock on our door but once we had it figured out it was fine. The restaurant costs $7USD for buffet breakfast. Breakfast wasn't fantastic but it was definitely alright. This hotel is located within walking distance to a lot of restaurants. Although, I think most things in Banos are. Would stay here again!

This was my second time staying at this hotel. The staff is friendly and the location is perfect since it is located right in the center of the town. You can walk around the near by shops, restaurants and bars. The rooms were super clean and you can have the beautiful view of the courtyard and the mountains on the back as you come out of your room. There is a nice veranda that goes around the courtyard. It is a small hotel so very easy to get around.
The internet service is not the best so there were many times that our calls were dropped or we were not able to brows the internet unless we came out of the room and/or went to the designated Wi-Fi area they had on our floor. The other downfall is that the rooms needed some updating. They didn't have a safe box in the room nor a phone. So, in order to communicate with reception, we had to go downstairs. I found that to be inconvenient. In two occasions that my friend and I came back after 11pm, the hotel was closed, lights totally off. First night that it happened , I thought we were locked out (pretty scary) but both nights, someone came out to open the door. I do like the hotel and it is located in a great location but I remember having a better experience the last time I visited about 5 years ago. They need to do some overall updates.

I 100% recommend this hotel. Its affordable, clean and walking distance to all the pubs and restaurants in Baños. As soon as we arrived the crew received us with a smile and gave us a tour through the hotel that has a wonderful view of the mountain. The suit we were in was neat and spacious. The breakfast buffet was also great. A big selection of fruit and bread, eggs and tropical juices... I can keep writing about all the good things about this hotel but I think you should experience yourself! Thanks Hotel La Floresta for making our experience in Baños and unforgettable vacation.

We stayed at the La Floresta for 3 or 4 nights. It was clean, comfortable, and conveniently located to restaurants and local attractions. The room was spacious. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They all speak excellent English, which was helpful since my Spanish is limited. They helped us arrange for bike rentals to ride the Ruta de las Cascadas, and even stored the bikes for us for a few hours until the rain stopped. I would definitely recommend them.

We ended up renting 2 rooms and stayed here 3 nights. Would not recommend this place as a result. The rooms (301/302) are very stuffy and will make you open the window / door for fresh air. However by doing so will let bugs into your room like crazy. Older son got 22 bites here. Even with windows closed, is crazy loud and can hear everything. People in the courtyard, large number of dogs and noises from the street. Get a star for the breakfast which was okay but had one rude guy 2 morning. We speak little Spanish so might have fueled some of that.

The gardens are beautiful. The staff is super friendly. The restaurant shines from staff to food. The waiters were two brothers that didn’t miss a beat in attentiveness. One even took a moment at dinner to play us the guitar; he’s very talented. The chef is super talented as well with the dishes he creates. We would definitely return again.
