Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Hotel Argos is located in the centre of Bahia Blanca at 2.1km of bus station and offers 100 rooms over 5 floors. Furnishings and decoration provide a pleasant atmosphere. Service is friendly and helpful.

Our nicely furnished room had desk & chair, TV on the wall, open wardrobe with safe & fridge, and 2 good single beds. We had a bathroom with washbasin, toilet, bidet & shower over the bath. The window can be opened. Good Wi-Fi. All was very clean.

We stayed for 2 nights and had dinner at the hotel’s restaurant. The food was surprisingly good. An OK buffet breakfast is served: scrambled eggs, bread & rolls, small croissants, cookies & pastries in Italian style, cold-cuts & cheese, butter & marmalade, juices, cereals, milk & yoghurt, tea & coffee. Hotel Argos is a comfortable and practical accommodation. Recommended.

This hotel claims to be a four star hotel, I am not sure who awards these stars but they need to go back and check again. The rooms could best be described as tired. The shampoo and conditioner were not full...let behind by the previous guest & not replaced? Disapointing!

I stayed at this hotel during a recent business trip. An issue I have with hotel out side large urban areas is cigarette-tobacco smoke odors in a room. This was not the case at this hotel. The hotel and room were pleasant, I had a good stay and will recommend to others.

Not sure where to begin? Yes, Hotel choices in Bahia Blanca are limited, and yes, many on this site have given this place very favorable ratings. What I experienced does not match up to the ratings or the comments. First of all, the room I had (#226) was small, cramped and above all else , foul smelling. Sewer smell filled the air and made it very uncomfortable to be inside the room. Perhaps the discomfort came from the small twin beds which were about six inches off the ground? Perhaps the lack of sufficient air conditioning added to the discomfort? Or...perhaps it was the lack of hot water in the shower/bathroom???? Not sure exactly what made this place a flop, but I am certain, I wont be staying here again. Even if it is to come visit the very rude bar tender.

Bahia Blanca is quite a small city when it comes to selection of tourist accommodations. Having said that, Hotel Argos is quite affordable and conveniently located within walking distance of the main square, as well as shops and restaurants.

The hotel is affordable, and is simple. If you are looking for western-style luxury and amenities, you will not find it in Bahia Blanca

We stayed one night before an early flight out of bahia blanca.
It was comfortable and clean. The beds were comfy. The wifi worked well on the rooms but not the restaurant.
We had no problem with air conditioning and it wasn't too noisy.
Rooms were large and had safe and good lighting.
Big bathroom with good shower but no plug in bath
Staff were helpful and spoke reasonable English.
Restaurant area was a bit large and souless. Food was actually ok -nothing special. Nothing cooked for breakfast-just fruit cereal etc

After attempting several times in other hotels in Bahía, we decided giving a try to the "well rated" Hotel Argos. We based our decision in ratings we saw on hotel website. Now I considered this my mistake, and we regret the decision.

Despite the very friendly staff the hotel doesn't have the necessary infrastructure, or if it has it is not well maintained, that you need to spend a couple of very hot summer days in Bahía. In general I found most hotels in Bahía to be better suited for winter than for summer.

Here is our experience: we booked a Senior Suite that didn't have the air conditioner working at all. We found out this at 12:00 AM after being told that the room was hit because it was empty and that by the time we will return it will be fresh. We tried three different rooms to finally found a standard room in which the A/C tat least was blowing some cool air. Two nights later we came to our room to found it was terribly smelling cigarette. When I went down to complain about this "new surprise" I was told that we were in the smoking area of this particular floor. Something that nobody from the front desk told us after our tour on our first night.

The following morning we left the hotel first thing in the morning.

In summary, the worst hotel I had ever been in Bahia Blanca, I strongly recommend to avoid going through what we went through. The Land is cleaner, and after a couple of complaints A/C start working according outside temperature.

The staff is superfriendly and helpfull - regarding we're in Argentina it was a big surprise to find that level of service from the staff at the reception.
The rooms are clean, no comment here - but the walls are very thin.
Breakfast is on the light side, but hey - we're in Argentina! But it had fresh juice...
Wifi is on the light side too - but works, slowly.
Location is nice, not too noisy but walking distance to the center.
If coming back I'll certainly book this hotel again!

This hotel has nice style and is quite a gem in Bahia Blanca, where finding good accommodation can be a struggle. Rooms are clean and staff are pleasant. Spent five days here and was made to feel at home. I recommend this hotel to other non Spanish speaking patrons

Buenas noches. El hotel no posee el servicio propio de combies. Pero la combie del aeropuerto te deja en el hotel. Y para volver solo tenes que llamar telefonicamente el dia de tu vuelo y pasan a buscarte.
