Neighbourhood
Recoleta
Characterised by the French-style mansions which are the legacy of its aristocratic past, Recoleta is the true “Paris of the South.” Walking around this neighbourhood is an experience like no other in Buenos Aires: its streets are lined with elegant apartment buildings, exclusive boutiques, and former mansions turned into high-end hotels and embassies, which exude an alluring air of sophistication and class. You'll also find a rich cultural scene centred on the National Museum of Fine Arts, the National Library, and the Recoleta Cultural Center; as well as some great shopping spots, like the Buenos Aires Design Mall with an artists' fair set up in Plaza Francia every weekend.

What a respite from the city. In the Recoleta district, this hotel oozes sophistication. Elegantly appointed with a beautiful central garden and an art gallery connecting both a new wing with the original mansion, you have choice to stay in the old or the new part. We chose

This is one of the nicest properties in BA-- it is a former palace and immaculately maintained. The staff was so accommodating when we arrived early for our reservation (we went straight to the spa), but they helped us a great deal to organize tango shows, reservations. etc.

Are there very many restaurants within walking distance of the hotel?
3 blocks from there you have a group of 5 restaurants all of them very expensive, good ones but expensive the thing is that it is not secure to walk those blocks at night ... for lunch you have a very good food court at the third level of the shopping mall patio bullring vit you still have to be careful when you walk those blocks if you see someone not nice cross the street ! They are usually policeman on some corners but just in case be careful

 Hotels: Because of the difficulty of ensuring that gratuities get to the right person, tips for housekeeping staff at our hotels are not included. If you would like to leave a tip for your housekeeper, $2 (approximately 30 pesos) per day is typically what is recommended. You may tip in USD or local currency.  Private transfers: If you are arriving or departing on a day other than the scheduled arrival and departure dates and have arranged a private transfer through Travel/Study, gratuities for your transfer driver are not included. If you wish to tip your transfer driver, $5/person is the recommended amount, and you may tip in USD or local currency.  Taxis: Drivers don't generally expect tips unless they go out of their way for you.  Restaurants: It is customary to tip wait staff in Argentina. A tip of 10% is appropriate.

How can I find Tienda Leon at AEP and EZE?
Both AEP and EZE Tienda Leon locations are easy to find. At EZE, they are immediately after customs (BEFORE you exit). At AEP, exit customs and they are just to the right by all of the drivers holding signs!
