Detailed Reviews
I stayed at this boutique hotel after arriving in Buenas Aires from an Antarctica cruise. I was tired at the end of a long day traveling and I was greeted by a friendly person who welcomed me to the hotel. The room was exquisite, clean beyond words and my room contained a bottle of wine for me to enjoy out on the veranda.
The next morning, I had a good breakfast, and wandered around the boutique hotel. It is small but the “attention to details” from the owner and staff make this truly a great place to stay.
I also met the owner and she is warm, inviting and wants the best fir her guests.

Very well located in the Palermo district this small and traditional hotel is an absolutely perfect location to see the buzz of buenes Aires. The service was fantastic and everyone was so helpful. Rooms are clean and common areas were very comfortable. You really feel you are in buenes Aires and it’s just round the corner from don Julio steakhouse. We left something by mistake and they Are arranging to send on. We also stayed at the miravida soho and was also excellent but magnolia edges it

After reading the reviews here we selected Magnolia for a week stay in January. All the previous 5/5 reviews are bang on. Amazing and attentive service, quiet, wonderful breakfasts, great rooms.
The streets are a little confusing, but Google Maps is your friend. An ATM, pharmacy, grocery store and restaurants are all close on Raul Scalabrini Ortiz. Cross that street, stay on Ave Costa Rica (heading northeast) and in two blocks you are in Palermo Soho which has loads of bars, sidewalk cafes and restaurants. Our favorite was Minga (google the address) as amazing beef and everything else at reasonable prices.
We did the a day trip to Colonia on the Colonia Express high speed ferry and that was also well worth it. 6-7 hours there is plenty to walk around and have a few meals.
From Magnolia is a nice walk up to Botanical Gardens, EcoPark and the Rose garden. we had a meal under the railway arches and taxied back. We did a half day tour to see the major locations, the hotel can help you set that up.
Superb hotel to base yourself for a city visit.

This was a small beautiful hotel with very helpful and friendly staff. They made great recommendations for local restaurants and the breakfast was fabulous. The location was also very good and you can easily walk to Sante Fe street with lots of access to shopping and the metro. The metro is very clean and easy to navigate

While we stayed there only one night, we really enjoyed our stay. It is a small boutique hotel in a former house. The entrance was understated and very secure and the location was convenient to many restaurants and shops. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We were served glasses of wine the night we arrived. The breakfast was very good. The shower's water pressure is perhaps the strongest we have encountered. Our room had access to an enclosed patio. There is a very comfortable living room common area with many books on Argentina. We felt quite comfortable and at home there.

My husband and I stayed here for one night on our way from the US to Patagonia. We wished we could have spent more time at Magnolia as it was just lovely! It is a restored home with great charm, beautiful details, but nonetheless modern amenities. There is a beautiful courtyard for guests to enjoy, and as our room was on the first floor, we also had a private courtyard accessible from our room. We met three members of the front desk staff during our short stay and all were very helpful. We spent the day walking Palermo—wonderful shops, cafes, parks and gardens all easily accessible from the hotel. We also found it was easy to get a taxi when we went to a different neighborhood for dinner. If you enjoy boutique hotels, you will love Magnolia!

We decided to stay here for our three nights while in Buenos Aires because it had such great reviews. Our hosts treated us with special attention, recommending restaurants, calling them to see if they would accept credit cards, etc. etc., and in general were very instrumental in ensuring that our stay was a very enjoyable one. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a great spot to stay. Our stay also included a breakfast each day with eggs made to order and fresh fruit with croissants, toast, etc.

We found the Magnolia struck the perfect balance between luxury pied-a-terre and international hotel. The understated restoration of this old Buenos Aires town house is thoughtful, charming and relaxing. It was our Buenos Aires base which we stayed in three separate times over our holiday - firstly when we arrived in Argentina then between trips to other parts of the country. Our rooms were grand, comfortable and practical and we found the location very convenient for exploring the cultural and foodie destinations in Palermo and Recoletta that interested us. Most brilliant of all, the women at reception were so very welcoming, friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. They, even more than the lovely breakfast and the wonderfully vast and soporific beds, made our stay absolutely five star.

We stayed the Magnolia at the start of our trip, and then again at the end, 3 months later. Both rooms we slept in were beautifully furnished and comfortable. The house is very elegant. Breakfast is plentiful and delicious. The staff were charming, solicitous and very friendly. On our second visit, just before the coronavirus lockdown, we were the only guests, and the hotel was to close after we left. The staff, and the owner, were lovely, concerned to make us feel welcome and anxious about our ability to get home. We will definitely come again in better times.

This is a great hotel. It's well located in Palermo in a trendy, but quiet area, close to many restaurants, bars, jazz clubs, cooking schools and art museums. It has only a few rooms so the staff can really focus on you. The rooms are reasonably large, upgraded and spotless, with comfortable beds and large bathrooms with great showers. Our room also had an outdoor sitting area. A sit-down hot breakfast was served everyday with numerous choices -- all included in your room rate. The staff is on duty 24/7; they are especially attentive, friendly and very helpful. They speak English well enough. A good example of their effort: we had an early flight and checked out at 5:30 am. The staff person made us fresh cappuccinos to go in cups and provided us with a breakfast in a bag to go consisting of croissants and a platter of varied cheeses and ham. How many hotels have you stayed in that did that for you at 5:30 am?
