We love Aquaria. The minute you walk in, you are transported into a calm and serene oasis. The outside world just mets away. Aquaria has been maintained well over the pandemic and it was great to be back. The staff are so lovely, they are polite, friendly, accomodating and nothing is too much trouble. They will do anything to make your stay comfortable, memorable and relaxing. We truly feel at home at Aquaria and feel so relaxed from day one. We stayed 17 nights and did not want to leave! The food is excellent, always super fresh and tasty and I fell in love with the breakfast smoothie and the poached eggs were cooked to perfection every day. The in house massages are fantastic and in my opinion world class, I love the seafront massage room where you hear the waves just metres away. The pool is heavenly for a swim or just to sit by and relax. All water to the property is filtered and safe, free drinking water is provided freshly in your room daily which gives you great peace of mind and saves on buying plastic bottles. Thank you to the Jeni and her wonderful staff for taking such good care of us. We will be back!

Aquaria is literally my favourite place in the world. It is a small boutique place with the rooms around the central pool and a few rooms which face directly onto the sea. It is situated right on the sea, there is no beach, but there are stairs to the water so you can swim and snorkel in the sea which is very calm.
Aquaria is calm and peaceful - great place for restoring the soul, or just properly relaxing. The staff are totally amazing, nothing it too much trouble, they are always available but never 'in your face'. The food too is exceptional. Everything is very fresh and has a great mix of western and Indonesian foods.
The rooms are tasteful, simple and uncluttered enhancing the sense of calm and peacefulness.

Having watched the seductive videos on the properties website I was looking forward to staying here. To be fair, they have been shut down for two years and are barely open again. There is clearly some way to go before this property is back to what is promised on their website. The staff are lovely and are working hard to please the guests but the shutdown has taken a toll on the property and it looks and feels quite tired. The wifi doesn’t cope and fails to reach the front of the resort. The food was simple and OK but not special and the breakfast needs to be improved. At a minimum guests expect a juice to be offered and some toast for the rates charged. Hopefully as things start to improve in Bali some reinvestment in the property will bring it back up.

This is our second visit to Aquaria within a year. It is truly a slice of paradise, as soon as you enter the property your worries float away and you feel calm. The central pool is an amazing focal point. We enjoy staying in a room overlooking the pool. The ocean is close by and its lovely to sit and watch the fishermen come and go as well as the tide. It's easy to while away your time here and be totally relaxed. The staff are all very friendly and eager to please. Nothing is too much trouble. The included breakfast is plentiful and there is a great variety. We eat in their restaurant most nights and love the food. The massages are 10/10. Murni has magical powers. Lovely resort which looks very luxurious. Right by the pool. In the beginning greatly enjoyed the peace and the view from the pool to the sea. Unfortunately, noisy people came later so the peace was hugely disturbed at the resort. The rooms with the seat in front of the room are right next to each other so you can hear everything from each other. Especially when people start putting on music without regard to others. Another lesser point I found was the staff who only wanted to sell more. If I only ordered soup, she'd rather I ordered more. Even with clothes, she wanted me to hand in more clothes.

We're sad. Last night was our fourth and final night at Aquaria. We had such an amazing time. If you would like the definition of paradise, you'll find it here. From the lovely welcome and excellent friendly service, to the beautiful rooms and the location right on the water, this is the place to be. My wife and son and I had two rooms that opened up to the pool area. We loved the outside bed and table and chairs. The restaurant was excellent. Delicious food, lovingly prepared and professionally presented. There's a nice big pool between the room area and also a great ocean pool above the breaking waves. Very special. The gardens are manicured and constantly tended. Location - it's just a five minute walk to other restaurants and shops. We loved the rain shower and comfy bed. Best bed so far in Bali. The air con was quiet and effective, but not always needed. We loved the breakfasts. We liked the delicious fresh fruit and jams so much - we could have eaten more of it! :) And finally, my wife loved the resort spa. Very special. She made use of it a number of times and was totally pampered, right by the ocean! Check this place out. It's quiet and peaceful and so incredibly beautiful. You won't be disappointed. Thank you to Aquaria's lovely staff. We hope to see you all again!

There is nothing to say except 10 out of 10 in every thing and every one of the staff including the massage therapists and the chefs. Jenny the owner is such a gem making you feel so welcome and what stood out the most was the food served every meal was faultless as good as dining in an expensive restaurant in a city. The cleanliness is top of the range plus the pools are clean the front pool is salt water. Take our advice we are seasoned travellers this is definitely the best .

Couple in our early 50s stayed here for 2 nights end of September. Breakfast is fairly basic but adequate and nice. Rooms are cool, filtered water provided, shower not great but didn't bother us. Not much to do in Candidasa so glad we only stayed 2 nights but thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

We have been to Bali many times and the highlight is always our stay at the very special Aquaria. Like a well fitting favourite shoe, the Aquaria is not polished but is uniquely comfortable. The quality freshly prepared food offerings are a delight and complimented by a warm, friendly, extended family staff. Watching the sunset from the seafront at a candlelight dinner creates memories to dream about and a professional massage to the sounds of the sea is shear bliss.

There is an older style TV in the room with local tv and a dvd player with dvd's that you can borrow from reception. However, I would strongly suggest that you swim in the ocean and the saltwater pool and the other pool several times a day and go for long walks and have massages/facials with Murni and put all the computers/streaming away for a few days and just enjoy reading a long book by the pool. Then you'll be too tired from lazing in the sun to bother with tv and your body will thank you and you'll feel deeply relaxed and breathe and sleep better....you will need to have plenty of suncreen and really big hats!!!
