Our first time visiting this truly fabulous resort located in a great location right on the beach with a tropical relaxed feel set in stunning grounds.
The rooms are very spacious and all superbly located within the beautiful grounds
The pool area is amazing day or night where one can relax on the swinging day beds or soak in The views of sunrise and sunsets. Added bonus of enjoying these views with cocktails served from the wonderful attentive staff who would go over and beyond customer service.
If you get the opportunity to visit this resort it is a must visit , you will not be disappointed

I booked this resort through DAE live exchange plan for 7 nights , and guys the resort was above my expectations in all manners. Warm welcome, Nice entry, well maintained and decorated lobby, rooms were good with balcony, anyhow I was under exchange program , so sea facing cottages were for direct booking guests, Pool was good and deep of around 10 feet, so take care with kids or person don't know swimming much , like me , but beautiful floating cushions were available for lovely chatting with your mates Evenings are the charm there , lovely sunset with coconut groove cocktail, ask Mr Ganti to make it , it's lovely Now comes the best part -Garpu Restaurent- Every person working there become my friend , so lovely people , so friendly, so attentive and fresh that I went only one time out for dinner I really love to mention some names like IYU, GANTI, CHEF Agung -who really surprised us with Mutton rogan Josh , some names I am not recalling but all were good and we had a lovely time there , really missing them , thanks Guys.
Nothing much to shop or visit nearby, small market but everything required is available, scooty is lifeline so use it at very affordable rates Snorking and diving facilities available nearby, do bargain,

We were lucky enough to stay at Ramayana Candi Dasa for 12 nights and this hotel was perfect for us.
It is situated off the Main Street in Candi Dasa (which ensures a quiet position). The beachfront position provides a magnificent view of the ocean (with a great swimming pool) and looks out to Nusa Penida. I never tired of the ocean view or lovely sea breeze.
We had a family room which was effectively a 2 bedroom apartment with kitchenette (including microwave and full size fridge). The bathroom was spacious and had a walk in shower.
Daily housekeeping service was great and provided complimentary bottled water.
The family room included a huge master bedroom (king bed plus a couch) and an adjoining bedroom with kitchenette, lounge and dining space. We also had a terrace off both bedrooms. We found the beds to be extremely comfortable.
The resort has a variety of room types and fulfilled my request for an upstairs room. The resort also has a spa centre, gym and Garpu restaurant.
The gardens are immaculate and beautiful and there were many lovely birds too.
The swimming pool overlooks the ocean and you can sit in the sun or shade as umbrellas are provided. The pool attendants were very helpful. Whilst there is no beach access in front of the hotel, there is beach access to the left of the restaurant (see photo).
We enjoyed all of our meals in the Garpu restaurant and never felt the need to go outside for meals (the 2 we did have at other places were not as good as Garpu restaurant).
The hotel and restaurant managers were extremely keen to ensure we enjoyed our stay. Customer service is key at Ramayana Candi Dasa. The service we experienced was truly outstanding and very professional. The staff are amazing.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and loved the peace and quiet.
Thank you to all the wonderful staff and managers who all excelled in customer service and food!
We highly recommend this resort to travellers.

My partner and I came with a large group for a workshop we were also taking at Ramayana and enjoyed our stay quite a lot.
The staff was really nice, so friendly, and always said hello as we passed by, they also learned our names and had individual conversations with us which was so welcoming. One staff, Ayu, was especially sweet and consistently helped me to learn a few new Balinese words and I appreciated how much she remembered me from day to day, thank young Ayu!
The rooms were also quiet comfortable, although we wished our room had bathrobes and that the pillows were softer and thinner. Also, the bathroom floor was slippery when wet and my partner even fell and slid into the glass wall of the shower bruising and cutting himself.
The breakfast was amazing and I found myself excited each morning to go eat! I loved the view over the ocean and the range of the menu and that it was such a full breakfast that was avaible.
We loved our stay and are grateful to everyone at Ramayana Candidasa :)

Treat yourself for a few days or long stay at Ramayana Candi Dasa Resort. From arrival to departure we loved every minute spent at the resort. The staff are lovely and so friendly. The smiles are endless along with greetings from every single staff member you pass. A traditional Balinese Resort, The room is spacious, clean and comfortable, complete with safe, complimentary water, usual amenities and complimentary toiletries, all with balconies. The pool was clean and fresh, situated beside the ocean, with breathtaking views of close by islands, fishing boats, and ships passing by. The food is amazing, restaurant catering to everyone’s needs, provides a variety of local food to international cuisine, a very reasonably priced menu, with great service. The hotel also offers a free shuttle bus service to the central area which is worth a visit. Couldn’t have imagined a more perfect place to stay for our time in Candi Dasa. Having stayed twice previously at this hotel and also having had friends stay there on our recommendation, we had absolutely no hesitation in booking this hotel for our dream Bali wedding. We were booked to marry in September 2020 with 8 of our friends joining us. We were all booked on a 1 night non refundable deposit basis - except for 2 of the couples. So they knew where they stood financially, they paid the whole amount upfront. One of the couples also paid for a stay at the sister hotel in Kuta upfront. Then Covid struck. We postponed our wedding to May 2021 however as Covid continued to worsen, this meant that in Feb 2021 we then had to cancel our wedding completely. Bali is completely closed to tourism and also we could not leave the UK.
This is where issues began. Our friends requested a refund (minus the 1 night non refundable) and heard nothing. Both couples and myself as the organizer, have been constantly sending emails and messaging on whats app and facebook trying to sort this. We have had occasional responses asking us to be patient, they will process this etc. 7 months later we are still waiting. After comments on facebook I was asked to keep this issue off social media and they would contact us the following week privately - this has still not happened.
We have all been hit hard by covid but our friends cannot afford to be hundreds of pounds out of pocket. We are trying to rearrange our wedding but they need the refund to be able to book elsewhere. I am hugely disappointed by this hotel. We have loved this resort and its staff but this has shown their true colours. There is no excuse for not refunding money which is not theirs and certainly no excuse for this going on for 7 months and still waiting. The hotel is constantly advertising on social media which just adds salt to the wounds.
All we want is for our guests to be refunded which is the morally right thing to do. We wait in earnest!!

We stayed for 5 nights in September and it wasn’t long enough! It’s a beautiful location on the coast of East Bali. The staff couldn’t do enough for us, so friendly and helpful. The restaurant had far more choice than we were expecting, the signature menu was delicious and such great value. The cocktails are also great - with high quality ingredients and we were always made to feel so welcome at the restaurant and pool area. We loved our stay and will be back! The spa is also wonderful, you must try the 60 min full body massage! It’s an idyllic location with birds singing and the sounds of water, and also check out the zen garden!

Just arrived home from this wonderful and splendid resort. We are a family of three adults and one ten year old visiting Ramayana for two weeks and we will definitely come back. It was low season and we were spoiled with happy friendly helpful staff everywhere we went at the resort: reception,restaurant,pool,spa, housekeeping and so on. The room’s was big and clean and returning from few days at the Gili Meno there was a water leak in one of the room’s and right away we were moved to two upgraded rooms. The restaurant had delicious food and very friendly staff. The view from the pool was beautiful especially for the sunset. We were blown away and spoiled to really enjoy and relax during our stay and we will definitely be back

This resort is absolutely superb and feels more like a five star experience than the four stars is has been allocated. The greeting upon arrival is beautiful as guests are presented with a cool washcloth and iced tea while being taken through the check-in details. Every detail of this hotel has been thoughtfully considered and maintained, including stunning new flower arrangements in the offering bowls each morning. The service in the restaurant is outstanding and we particularly enjoyed our brief conversations with Sari and Suristiani who went above and beyond to look after our every need. The restaurant is situated right on the water and so you have the sense of sitting in a boat with the waves crashing against the building. Meals at the restaurant are more expensive than other restaurants in the area so it is worth walking along the road to explore a variety of good eating places. The rooms are cool and spacious and very comfortable. Canidasa itself has heaps of exploring and it is worth doing a tour into the Taman Turta Gangga watergardern and then looping around through the Sideman area. Stunning scenery!

We have stayed at the Ramayana Beach Resort a number of times since 2011 and have found it a great place to relax and unwind. The staff have been consistently friendly and helpful and always make us feel at home. The rooms are clean and comfortable and furnished in the local Indonesian style. The pool is right next to the sea and is a wonderful location but swimming in the sea is restricted to a small beach adjacent to the resort at low tide. There is also a pleasant garden with several shaded seating areas. The restaurant offers both local Indonesian and European cuisine but is a little expensive compared to restaurants in Candidasa town, but there are also several local low cost restaurants within easy walking distance.

Yes you may well get some rain. I would advise you to stay longer if you can but six days will be lovely. You have some nice restaurants near you I would advise taking one day trip to see mountains and temples during your stay.
There are more places to choose from in the Candidasa area.
