Thanks very much for the hospitality and the manner in which we were served for the period we spent on the reserve. The workers and the rest of the staff treated us very well. We are looking forward for our next visit.

Property's Favourite Review
This was our seventh visit to Amanzi. I should start the review by saying that we were due to stay at Amanzi in July 2019, for the annual marathon and half marathon. Unfortunately my youngest was not able to travel due to illness. Amanzi very kindly, without obligation to do so, moved the reservation a year out for the 2020 race, which we greatly appreciated. The 2020 race was cancelled due to the pandemic and so it was that we came in September, the pandemic regulations having been partially lifted allowing us to travel - we were keen to support our local tourism industry, particularly Amanzi, in these difficult times. On arrival we received the usual warm welcome. The staff were very aware of the pandemic requirements and as a consequence we were very comfortable throughout our stay. Room was spotless. Views were as spectacular as always. Amanzi is situated in what I consider to be the best location in Knysna - peace and quiet, but within a 15 minute shuttle drive, provided by Amanzi, to the town. The buffet part of the breakfast was no longer available, but was proficiently combined with the off menu breakfast so as to be as good as always. All the staff were excellent - welcoming and homely. On our third and final evening we opted to dine in. Great choice. It was clear that the chef had gone out of his way with the offering - the food and ambience was fantastic and we and our daughters had a really great evening. Another great stay. We'll be back next year. ps - gardens are looking great !

Bad start to what was meant to be a very special 30th birthday and 31st wedding anniversary week when one booking was conveniently cancelled- error on part of Lodge /booking agent? I was most disappointed that Lovemore agreed telephonically that first night would be free for the three of us to only have one persons fee refunded. Bad taste.... say no more

this lodge is perfect in every way...except the food! Very comfortable, thoughtful layout of rooms and amenities , very private and luxurious! they even offer free bicycles to cycle round the lagoon! the only downside is the food...breakfast was a `DISASTER ...MY friend threw up from the coffee that was served with sugar already mixed in and appeared to have made from a sachet! for a 5star lodge the excuse of our coffee machine broke down is just unacceptable! And who serves coffee with sugar in it already...without asking! that was a definite miss! Would i go back again....absolutely but don't. bother eating there
