The Turbine hotel is a wonderful-looking hotel with great amenities, however the service is severely lacking and not on par with a 5 star hotel that they claim to be. Everything about our stay was good except for the service, and the quality of food at the restaurant. these two areas need serious upgrades if they wish to compete with other 5 star hotels.

My husband and I stayed here for 8 days. Front desk was very friendly and they have great spa specials. The service at the Island Cafe was beyond terrible, the breakfast in the morning was not great. We sat outside by the pool deck for 45 minutes before my husband got up to ask someone to assist us with something to drink. The rooms have no cupboard space. The location is great but don't expect 5 star service. Also wouldn't recommend the turbine water club as the staffs attitude is terrible.

Response from Chris Schutte, General Manager at The Turbine Boutique Hotel and Spa
Responded 4 days ago
Dear Mrs. Sher, thank you for your response. This is a disappointing read following all our interactions and service recovery for the Monday morning breakfast incident. As mentioned in person we apologised for this and did our best to improve from there. We did try and accommodate with additional hanging space. I have shared your feedback with the WaterClub manager and apologise for the inconvenience caused.

very nicely setup in an 'old' energy plant, clean hotel, with very nice staff. the area is a bit busy, but very comfortable if you want a few restaurants just around the corner. Enough parking space when you come with your own car

We had a lovely stay and would very much like to return. Word of caution for people who struggle with mobility, stairs to rooms, but it was not an issue for us. Extremely well situated, for restaurants and leisure
