The apartment room is spacious with a balcony to relax and overview the St Georges path. The hotel breakfast is good and value for money with a vibrant and ever willing to help front desk. Feel free to ask your questions and share experiences. Theare a welcoming team who will ensure you are relaxed and your stay is hassle free. As k for Akshit at night,Evans during evening and during the day the ladies are on point and always welcoming. Most rooms are fitted with a bath, water supply is consitent, clean and warm. Efficent room service and cleaniness. Security always alert to provide the guests a sound stay. I persnally have a disability and Fountains ensured proper accessibility and free movement with specialised toilets and flat surfaces. Situated next to pharmacy, bank shops and transport facilities. The go to hotel in Cape Town.

This hotel is exactly what you would expect from the Best Western brand and at the price we paid. The service is hit and miss. Some staff are friendly, others and very miserable and unhelpful.

Rooms are a decent size and clean.

We stayed for 6 nights and on each day at breakfast, items from the buffet were missing (regardless of the day or time) and you would have to ask for them to be cooked or replenished.

We made a booking for 2 x Superior rooms (4 guests) for one night (4th Sept) to celebrate our friends birthday. Upon arrival we discovered that the bookings lady made the following booking - 1 room on the 4th and the other on the 5th. Upon arrival rooms were not ready. We received our first room at 3pm and the other at 7pm the evening on our way out to dinner. Due to the bad service we chose not to eat at the hotel. The 2nd room which was eventually booked was small, 1 out of the 3 lights in the bathroom was only working. We had to shower in some darkness, window panes were dirty and cracked. Room had a terrible smell and the view outside was absolutely disgusting. No hot water when we showered. The other room had a bath and shower in one with a SHOWER CURTAIN!! This is definitely not seen at 4 stars hotels. The curtain wasn't the cleanest and there was no plug for the bath. We also experienced no hot water when showering. These rooms didn't have the greatest views as advertised in their wiki deal promotion and hotel definitely didn't live up to what was stated. We will never stay there again nor recommend to anyone we know. Shout out to PK at reception who tried his utmost best to fix the problem made by the booking lady.

I am at the hotel and we are here on a work conference for the next 5 days which will feel like 5 years. Their service is horrible and the food is extremely BAD. Every time you go their dinning area its a struggle to get proper food that suits your died. And now every excuse is blamed on covid-19. Their kitchen staff is loud and rude. We have for towels to be changed and to get shampoo and they never did. The carpet in the rooms is dirty and they same the same meals. I will never come back or do my trainings here. One of the ladies used her bare hands to touch my croissant with no gloves. Yaak!

We celebrated our Anniversary with a 1 night stay in Room 903, what an amazing experience. From the moment we checked in, we were on cloud 9. We got welcoming drinks on our way to the room. The room was amazing with the most amazing view of the fountain and city. In the evening the lights of the city is so dreamy. We stayed in a beautiful 1 bedroom apartment room with a very romantic turndown. The cheese platter and champagne was a great treat. Dinner and breakfast buffet was any foodies dream. I would definitely recommend the Fountains Hotel. The staff is incredibly helpful and friendly. Service is great and the hotel is very clean and stylish. The Hotel is very close to the V&A waterfront which is very convenient and next to a Discem. They also have an amazing Mimosa special and they have a great selection of wine that is affordable.

Thank you again to the manager and staff of the Fountains Hotel for one incredible weekend experience.

I have to be honest, this Hotel was very basic and the rooms are definitely not like the photos on their website. The hotel really needs an uplift it hasn't been decorated for years and it shows.
Food is good although they can't seem to cope when they have more than one group in and everyone suffers then. I don't think they have enough kitchen or waiting staff to cope with a full restaurant and for you to get your food on time and hot.
Don't be fooled by them showing photos of the pool. It is really small, freezing cold, has no loungers to sit out or relax and is next to the street and is covered by trees so you wouldn't get a tan or even warm sitting by this pool.
On the plus side, it is in a good location, rooms are cleaned every day and I think it is the staff who are wonderful (including the chef and bar staff) that make staying at this hotel bearable.

Firstly, as a Capetonian, it was a really great day to finally experience a world class hotel on my doorstep. From the number of languages spoken by hotel guests, it appears the Fountains Hotel is a regular United Nations. And after our wonderful experience we can understand why....

We went for a breakfast only, and we were very impressed by the wide selection of food on display. From a dedicated section for bread and pastries, to hot foods, (with meats clearly separated for those halal) to the extensive cold breakfast selection.

At Fountains Hotel we found value for money with the added gift of happy employees. A smile, a quick word, the tasty meal plus great service equal professional excellence which makes the Fountains Hotel a must visit. Even if only for breakfast...Will return soon for a longer stay.

After having booked a room 2 months in advance, we were made to wait for our room for 1.5 hours at the reception. Then they said they would upgrade us to a suite , 3 bhk apartment but we ll have to share room with another family. Absolutely ridiculous. We refused and they made us wait for longer time only to be given a room with no charging sockets ( all plugs points for charger were removed ) no AC remote so can't use , no curtains no safe vault and ants all over the desk. Could not sleep all night as street lights coming in as no curtains. The room was so tiny that once u place ur bags, you can't even walk. The room was meant for a wheelchair patient. They did change the room the next day, which was better but welcomed with torn towels. I mean ... what kinda experience am I going to take back ? Besides, the elevator takes forever to come to your floor. Keep waiting !! Only good thing about this hotel is the cooperative staff. They were very helpful.
