I enjoyed the hotel, although it is one of those hotels with many rooms, the staff is well prepared to serve us all. The breakfast was not full at all, and the bar was very good. The ballet service could use some improvements and the rooms coise use some upgrade. The shower is just to low, I have 1,87m and the shower was at my neck height.

A fabulous hotel with great service! Well placed on the V & A Waterfront close to a great selection of restaurants and shops. We travelled as a party of 8, including a grandparent and grandchildren. We found staff to be extremely helpful, friendly and with a keen eye for detail. Breakfasts were very tasty with a great selection for everyone. Rooms are very spacious with generous bathrooms. We also had a rental minibus and the valet parking was really helpful after a long day out sightseeing. I would highly recommend the Table Bay to anyone visiting Cape Town!

I can highly recommend the Table bay, it has the most wonderful position right on the harbour. You can sit and watch the seals bask on the pier. The roots are large and the beds very comfortable. Breakfast is a veritable feast that caters to all tastes. Staff is extremely helpful and knowledgable. I broke the lock on my suitcase and they were so helpful and got it fixed for me in no time. Positioned as it is gives you walking access to all that Victoria and Alfred Waterfront has to offer. It is a wonderful spot for a stroll in the evening and from where to watch Table Mountain in all the different light over the course of the day.

As a first time visitor to Cape Town, I was very happy with this hotel choice. Good location, attached to a large shopping mall with many restaurant/bar options. The room was lovely and a good size, with turn down each evening. The breakfast was fantastic. A huge variety including oysters, sushi, typical English Breakfast items, and a really lovely daily selection of local breakfast items. I think this may have been one of the best breakfasts in our three week trip! Complimentary secure parking provided if you have a car.

Some would say that staying on the V&A Waterfront in not the authentic Cape Town experience, which may be true, but practicality perhaps trumps authenticity. Great location with proximity to the many Waterfront restaurants and it's own dedicated entrance into the mall. Nice pool area. Easy dedicated parking or, if you prefer as we did, buy MyCiti bus cards. The bus stop (Waterfront) is 5 minutes walk from the hotel and you can take the T01 to the city centre or the 104 to Sea Point (then change to the 108/109/118 to Clifton or Camps Bay and beyond), all perfectly safe during the day and only R8 or R10 per trip. The hotel is very grand, but perhaps in places in need of a little extra maintenance. The toilet door squeaked annoyingly and the shower soap dish was held by a single rusty screw. I felt the buffet breakfast was a little chaotic and noisy, spread over about 25m of tables and sometimes a battle to stop your table being cleared while you were collecting your next course. (There must be a better system!) Special mention to the really friendly porters and gate staff.

My wife and I had six nights in this hotel in late February and had a great experience. Every morning before the restaurant opened Christopher made sure I had a coffee, and if he wasn't around Gershwin helped out. Christopher was the consummate professional, making sure that when my wife and I had breakfast that our every need was catered for, it was a pleasure. Enrico and CJ on concierge helped with advice and several recommendations that worked out well including restaurants, travel plans and also shark diving!! I also had a sports massage in the spa club with Refilwe which was one of the best that I've had in many years, and I've had a lot. These things turned a good experience into a great one. Thanks to the The Table Bay Hotel team and especially Christopher, Gershwin, Refilwe, Enrico and CJ!

This was an excellent hotel, right on the CapeTown waterfront. Room was lovely and service from hotel staff second to none. Nothing was too much trouble . Breakfast in the Atlantic Restaurant was excellent but this was not used as a restaurant in the evening by the hotel. Apparently there is a private restaurant in the corner of the ground floor but this was not advertised. The hotel are missing a trick as using the Atlantic Restaurant in the evening which is so visible so more people would use this.
