Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Beautiful place in the bush I am not a tented person but if all the tented camps can look like this I will use it more. It was very clean and up to standard. The food was like a 5star restaurant. Not much wild animals roaming around that was the only down thing of the stay. Staff all around from the entrance gate and the lodge was friendly and helpful. Will definitely want to stay there again.

Stayed at Cheetah Paw for 4 nights mid-December 2019. The lodge provided a tranquil getaway with breathtakingly beautiful views of the northern-range of the Drakensberg Mountains. It was the ideal setting to get away from and forget the busyness of the corporate world. The tents are clean and comfortable, meals very good and staff extremely friendly and helpful. Charmaine, the lodge manager, was welcoming and accommodating. She is extremely knowledgeable of the surrounding area and willingly shared information on what to do and see and organised trips, game drives etc. when requested, which made it so much easier to enjoy the stay. Thank you for going above and beyond. While the lodge has some shortcomings, which should and could easily be addressed e.g. room amenities and air-con in the lounge area. But the beauty of the surroundings, the casual visit by Giraffe, antelope, beautiful birds and the every curious monkeys, there is the unexpected sighting of an Ostrich cooling off in the water hole, during some extremely hot weather. It is extremely good value for money and very well worth the stay. Try it, you'll like it.

I have selected Cheetah Paw Eco Lodge based on its reviews and also proximity to both key landmaks in the area: Kruger and Blyde canyon. Such a great choice. Charmaine the manager is super hospitable and helpful. She helped me with structuring my trips around Blyde River Canyon and also with the most optimal route back to Durban. The tents are super. Food is great. The location close to some other private reserves - on the way back to lodge I was observing a herd of 20 elephants dining just before sunset. Honestly, you cannot ask for more! Thank you

We stayed at Cheetah Paw for three nights in November. Rinette and Charmaine are excellent hosts and took great care of us. We went on several safaris which they booked for us and even made sure we had a packed breakfast or lunch. The facilities are good, clean rooms, excellent dinner. Would definitely recommend!

We were a party of 6 that visited Cheetah paw for 2 nights during our visit to Kruger national park and surrounding areas. Charmaine and Rinette are wonderful hosts and did everything possible to make our stay as enjoyable and memorable as possible. They are able to organise our game drives and sort out our meals which were delicious. The luxury tents are wonderfully decorated looking out onto the bush and watering hole. Would 100% visit again if in the area :)

We had the best time at cheetah paw. Everything was excellent and we would always love to come back! We quite often enjoyed a spontaneous gin and tonic at the pool which was immediately brought to us by the very lovely staff of cheetah paw. Furthermore, it was awesome to see giraffes and other wild animals while cooling down in the refreshing and cozy pool
