We (a group of 6 adults and 1 kid) had a wonderful time at the Lodge. We were there for 3 nights and we were simply floored by the warmth and cordiality of the hospitality. The Villas were well furnished (although TV and Phone were missing) with all amneties one can ask for. We being vegetarians had some issues on the opening day but then the Chef took care of all our food needs and there was never a room for complaint thereafter. The Game Drive (twice a day) was fantastic under the command of Hard Ranger Mr. George Haslam and Big 5 (except Leopard) were sighted. Overall it was a memorable stay at the Lodge.

The location finds itself just a few kilometres from the main road so it’s easily accessible by road to get to the place. Nestled at the foot of a mountainous rock and overlooking the busiest water source in the area, this new lodge offers a thrilling wildlife experience. It offers well appointed luxurious accomodation and a magnificent swimming pool affording you the opportunity to view the BIG 5 while you’re chilling in the pool or lounging with a cocktail - (So you need not even leave the camp as the wildlife literally visits you! ) You can also explore the reserve with Sunrise and Sunset game drives and traverse in comfortable open air game viewers with the chance to soak in the most exquisite sunsets the bush has to offer while observing the mRaptors and other abundant bird life. Dining is simply classic African bush cuisine with a touch of elegance that will satisfy your every taste if you enjoy great food. The positioning of this unique waterhole & large dam gives you an eye level close up experience with large herds of elephant , buffalo and many other species visiting 24 hours a day- seldom will you experience this closeness to wildlife and have the opportunity to catch the animals enjoying their environment whilst you enjoy yours . So worth it!

From the moment I needed to contact Katelyn in the office when booking, I knew it was going to be a great experience - and it was.
Professional, friendly and welcoming best describes how Milima is operated.
They catered exceptionally well with great variation for our family of non meat eaters.
The staff are all so friendly and we took a real liking to Liseth, who never stops smiling and was fun in the bar. Watch the video I took to see what I mean !
Prem, our ranger/guide/driver was a font of knowledge and how he spotted the animals whilst driving was incredible.
The rooms have everything you need and include body spray to keep mozis away which was a welcome bonus.
The Boma evening was very special as were our 2 day trips to the mountains and The Kruger - all arranged with Katelyn in the office.
The highlight of course were the numerous animals we saw, especially the elephants which drink directly in front of the lodge at the water hole.
Milima is a small property and aimed at guests that want a rustic, quiet and close to nature experience - which it does very, very well.
I would highly recommend Milima and would definitely return.

Beautiful and intimate lodge with a wonderful staff and facilities.

We are family of 5, parents and 3 boys (7 to 12).

The Milica team is as fantastic as the place itself.

Starting from our guide, Thomas, who is extremely knowledgeable and experienced, funny and makes the whole experience of the game drives fascinating.

Jeff, who was guiding other guests, seemed to be great as well.

The rest of the staff, from the bar, kitchen and guards were all very friendly and caring.

Breakfast is a rich and tasty buffet.
Lunch and dinner are like being in an intimate home made restaurant, elaborated, with the chef announcing the food and the wines.

We stayed in a villa, with a living room in the entrance and two rooms, one on the left and one on the right (so separated from each other).
Very clean, nicely designed and we very comfortable beds.

The lodge isn’t big, but the restaurant, bbq area and swimming pool are really all you need when resting and enjoying in between the game drives.

The swimming pool is just in front of a waterhole (separated by a fence but it’s barely seen due to the level differences) that in the 48 hours we’ve been here we saw 2 different herds of Elephants and 2 large adult male lions roaming around.

There are monkeys and baboons coming in and out but not really getting close to the people, so it’s actually challenging to see them.

And the game drives… are really impressive.
Thomas was taking us all over the place, tracking the animals and we saw plenty, the lodge is literally inside the park so it was just about getting outside the fences and starting the game… we enjoyed it very much.

100% recommendable.

Words cannot explain how amazing of a trip my wife and I had, all thanks to Milima. They picked up us up from the local airport, welcomed us with big smiling faces, and they had a whole intenary printed out for us so we knew what was happening every day in our stay, thank you Katelyn. The safari drives were absolutely amazing; we saw so many different beautiful animals, and all thanks to our main driver Thomas, he was fantastic! He was so determined to make sure we had a good time and saw as many animals as possible. The food honestly surprised us in how good it was because when ever a place has "all in inclusive", it usually means mediocre food that serves hundreds of people but Milima has a dedicated head chef (Mpho I believe is his name) who creates wonderful dishes for the small amount of guests there, you don't have to even look at a menu since everybody gets the same thing (they will adjust your meal based your likes & diets). The hospitality is also wonderful, we had a lady named Marvelous always at our side asking what drinks she can bring us. I recommend staying inside the tents because you can see animals right outside your door/window, especially with the fact that the place has a watering hole that attracts different wildlife every day. The pool is very nice, it is not heated but feels great on a hot day. Already thinking about coming back with a bigger group!

We knew that our safari would be life changing and all our expectations were definitely exceeded. The beautiful landscape was breathtaking and it was amazing getting so close to the wildlife in their natural habitat. The elephants visiting the water hole on a daily basis was one of our highlights and we sat watching them drink and play in the water was an amazing experience.

We stayed at the tented camp which was clean and very well kept. It was a very relaxed atmosphere and we enjoyed dining with the other guests, swapping stories about what we had encountered that day.
Milima big 5 Safari lodge is unpretentious with a rustic feel, which we loved. The staff at Milima were second to none and their attention to detail did not go unnoticed.
They made my Wife’s birthday an unforgettable one with singing and traditional dancing a true celebration of her life and all the other guests from all over the world celebrated with us. She will cherish her birthday at Milima forever.
Our guide Prem went out of his way to introduce us to as many wildlife as possible, sharing his knowledge and passion for tracking. The mornings and evenings were very cold, so it’s advisable to pack plenty warm clothes when visiting in winter months.

The food was homemade, varied, amazing and plentiful, you will not go hungry at Milima. The bush dinner under the stars was our favorite. The staff are also happy to meet any requests that you may have prior to and during your stay. The staff are extremely hard working and truly lovely.

We cannot wait to return and look forward to our next visit at Milima big 5 Safari lodge.

As always, I was royally treated by management and all staff. Best of my stays yet. Will definitely be going back again (4th trip). Nothing is too much trouble for me by Alex and Katelyn and all staff. If you would like a stay at a quiet great lodge with excellent drives and food at very affordable rates for this total experience, then just give Katelyn or Natasha a call. Lodge is also easy to get to via excellent roads

This was an amazing destination, filled with great people, good food, expert rangers, modern safari vehicles and very well organised. We stayed in #3 safari tent and found it very comfortable, clean and private. The views out to the dam where the animals came to drink etc we excellent from this safari tent and all areas of the resort, including the pool, and restaurant. Our ranger/ guide Sydney was truly knowledgeable, and safe when traversing the bust tracks, and always was able to get the most out of each of the 2 daily game drives, His tracking knowledge paid off several times and wit and humour made for great drives. The communication from Katelyn in the office was exceptional and made our booking and any enquiries easy. The food and restaurant staff we fantastic and so eager to please. a big shout-out to thank all the staff, but especially to Sydney and Thomas as great guides, and someone that normally wouldn't get recognition, Sylvester, the young man at Milima front gate, who looks after the gate security and your vehicles all day and all night 7 days a week. He is a great guy and deserves recognition as well.

I was expecting this lodge to be special and it exceeded my expectations! The special tent with proper floor and huge bathroom is amazing and has a terrace with the view over the waterhole. It’s a small lodge, perfect for people who are there to simply enjoy the wild life. The cute restaurant provided lovely food and all drinks we could possibly desire. The whole team is very nice and friendly. The game drives were well organized and the driver was a very good and knowledgeable guide, thanks Thomas and thanks to the whole team, we will treasure this experience!
