I was in heaven at Kelora Bush Camp. The magic here is that you can walk around without the dangers of the Big 5. The owners Jenni and Kristian are so passionate about the bush and will gladly organise anything for you whether it's a bush walk, bush drive, trips into the pretty nearby town of Hoedspruit, trips into the Kruger National Park itself or you can laze around their beautiful swimming pool in the heat of the day. The tents are so comfortable with an ensuite bathroom. I have to add that the bedding was first class (all silky and new) the best mattress I think I've ever slept on in all of my travels! I didn't want to leave. Both Jenni and Kristian are wonderful hosts, great company and so enthusiastic about everything. The staff are wonderfully helpful too. See you soon! Rosie

We (a group of 8 friends) were at Kelora for 5 days, I wish we could have stayed longer. We slept in beautiful individual tents, we all had our own bathrooms and decks. The kingsize beds are very comfortable and made up with beautiful linen. I loved my outdoor shower. There are 6 tents in the camp, all very secluded.
The staff was great and we loved the food that was cooked for us every day. Lovely homebaked bread and lots of fresh fruit and vegatables and ofcouse healthy venison.
We were lucky to have the camp to ourselves, which can be done with a big group like ours. At night we sat around the campfire, listening to the sound of the bush, it was magic.
At Kelore there are lots of animals, giraffes, zebras, nyalas, impalas, sable antilopes, wildebeest, warthogs and many more smaller animals. There are no predators and that means that the ranger can take you on bushwalks, bikerides and runs. For us this was great because we are all very active people and we dont want to be confined in a big 5 lodge where we just sit all day.
From Kelora we did some daytrips in big 5 camps. Also we went to Kruger for the day. This was great and it was nice to come back in the evening to Kelora for another wonderful dinner and a great evening around the fire.

Hello !!

We have incredible memories of our stay at Kélora Bush Camp. We are from the South of France and wanted adventure, the two of us and our 17 and a half year old son. Jenny & Kristen are people who know how to welcome and are warm company. We laughed a lot together and without forgetting their sweet little girl.
The game drive at the top with aperitif at sunset.

And all those wild animals wow!!!

The gourmet breakfast, the brunch, the memorable dinners and the barbecue around the fire whit Kristen on guitar with songs was amazing.

If asked if we would go back, oh yes.

Adick, Dennis and Latifa

Absolutely amazing time; hosts are brilliant, food amazing, lodging even better them my own home with the on-suite tents.
Animals everywhere, good fun, evening around the fire or hot day by the pool.
Just amazing.

Kelora Bushcamp is located just outside the Kruger National Park and this friendly place offers a truly magical African experience.

Kelora, run by South African Jenni and Kristian, is one of those rare places where you feel you are truly immersed in the African bush but still have the comfort of spacious luxury tents with hot baths, showers, electricity and comfortable beds.

This is a bushcamp with a difference! It’s near Kruger Park for access to the game drives to see some of the big 5 which can be arranged however in Kruger you are halted from getting out your car which can be frustrating.

In contrast , at Kelora, you have a range of wildlife all less likely to eat you and can therefore go on safe game drives or nature walks with your family or loved one followed by a sunset drink or meal arranged by your hosts. I cannot emphasis enough how lovely this was! So you have the best of both worlds; your own safe tailored experience at Kelora supplemented by a day tour in Kruger.

We stayed for 5 days and enjoyed the following activities:

- Nature walks in the morning and late afternoon to spot the wildlife
- Game drives around the bush and stopping for picnics at sunset
- Seeing the variety of wildlife such as Giraffe, Wildebeest, Zebra, bush babies, Monkeys and more..
- Lapa fires under the clear evening sky
- quality food with an African twist including amazing desserts !
- Game drives to Kruger Park.
- The pool on site surrounded by the bush was a joy in the African heat.

Highly recommendable for families or romantic getaways or anyone who would like an African adventure.

Excellent value for money as all meals and drinks and activities included. As a guest they absolutely make a fuss about you..we felt a bit royal ..this was rather awesome.

I am already looking at rebooking !
