1. Found that someone had urinated and left toilet unflushed
2. Dirty linen (even prisoners won’t sleep in)
3. Cockroaches roamed arounded freely in the bathroom
4. Duty manager abnoxius and undermined the seriousness of the above mentioned matter
5. They forgot to mention there’s a tavern in the building on their website.

I refused to sleep there and had to roam the streets with luggage at night looking for alternatives

The hotel Management was excellent from the day I called to do the bookings. They offered me the payment options. On my arrival the welcoming was excellent. The room was concerned clean and it was cleaned daily. Breakfast was excellent. I enjoyed the stay. The reception was cleaned even during the day. Sewerage and Water system was also perfect. The hotel was very welcoming and its in town where it is convenient to go shopping any time. The parking was also safe.

My partner and I stayed at this hotel in advance of a boat trip out of Wilson's Wharf. I knowingly booked a very cheap hotel, requiring only a bed and secure parking. This is pretty much what we got, it isn't much to look at, nor does it feel completely secure. Reception is at best average, the hall ways and rooms dingy. One couldn't be completely sure that the beds and linen were clean, but the bathroom was OK. We didn't make use of the restaurant. In terms of getting what I paid for, this hotel delivered precisely that. The low rating is merely an indication of the facilities, rather than a below par experience.

If you're looking for a "budget" accommodation. Affordable and just a across Durban Harbour.

Your expectations must be low when going there as not everything is modern. They are too "savvy".
Rooms are very simple but Clean.
SOME of the stuff are friendly especially at reception and the lady at the bar but there's a room for improvement with that.

They also need to improve almost everything at the kitchen/dinning hall/ restaurant, service, their plates and cutlery need to be replaced with new ones; milk for cereal and tea/coffee was always cold. Only one bit grown-up lady at the kitchen that was friendly, the rest are just grumpy, hardly greet. But that can always be improved.

Otherwise we had super great time. The view of the harbour from our 4th floor room was wonderful 😊
