Brayka Bay Resort & Royal Brayka Beach Resort are 2 different Resorts, but some shared services. Make sure you know which one you are booking
Use Marsa Alam Airport. Not Hurgada a4 hour bus ride
Royal Brayka Beach is a largely East European crowd. Facilities in better conditions than the Brayka Bay
Brayka Bay Resort is the better one all things considered. The Facilities are all in need of some maintenance. But, all in “working order” Except the Gym. Can´t complain because you´re allowed to use the Gym of the Royal.
Food: Always something nice & Quality very good. Staff very friendly and helpful.
Beach: It has a quiet zone. You can get DND signs so you´re not consonantly asked to visit the wellness center. For Handicapped, they have special beach beds that can be reserved. Best of the beach is the reef(s). some say north reef is better, some say south.. I found the end of the Jetty (Pier) the best!
There are Lifeguards, but respect the Flags. Lifeguards try to warn people. Unfortunately, we witnessed what happens when visitors choose to ignore the warnings.
Entertainment: a largely Italian crew, logical being as Brayka Bay draws alot of Italian tourists. The mix seemed to be mostly Italian, German, Brit.
I doubt this is the place for a young family vacation if you are expecting the jet skis, banana boat, paragliding stuff. This place does not have (nor should) have any of that.
If Internet is a must; Best Solution; little shop in the Brayka Bay and get a prepaid Vodafone card

Dear bsawinski, thank you for taking the time out of your day to post on your review of your recent visit to us here in Royal Brayka Resort. It is a great pleasure to read your kind words about our friendly staff and the service that we love to provide. Regarding your comment about usage of facilities in Brayka Bay by guests of our sister hotels, there are few facilities in Brayka Resorts that can be used by guests of all the three hotels – tennis courts, water slides, specialty restaurants and jetty. Other facilities and services are available in hotels according to booking. Your feedback is very important to us, thank you for all your comments! We hope to have an opportunity of welcoming you back on your next trip to Egypt. With Kind Regards, Zdeňka Steklá Guest Care Team

Come on Brayka Bay Resort. It's 2020 and you still charge €20 pp for a week wifi with poor quality.

The resort is great and the spot is wonderful. Staff is very friendly. The resort is very well maintained. Top.

I would say it's not 5 star hotel, but overall I'd come back. I love the area and the hotel overall has a relaxing vibe. The location is amazing - with beautiful sandy beach ant place for snorkeling. We saw more fishes in our beach than on excursion for snorkeling. The hotel's staff was very polite ang helpful, but we have always ask for toilet paper an for shampoo at rooms. Good food, but not a big choise. Entertainment program was very strange - the same couple of singers every night.

Unpleasant and sometimes reluctant reception staff. The young chef cooking pasta on the terrace was unpleasant, reluctant and never cooked what I asked of him out of the five dishes. I preferred not to go to him. The descriptions of the dishes in the Czech language did not match the reality. Some combinations such as roasted chicken with cheese sauce made no sense. A chicken mixture with this sauce and pasta would be more suitable. The waiter at the pool bar closer to the lobby was also unpleasant and reluctant until I gave him a few dollars. Why? When it's his job. What disappointed me the most was the Internet connection via WiFi. This is totally tragic. I understand that there is no Wi-Fi in the entire area, even more so I would expect that the connection in the lobby would be 100% and not from the nineties. Constantly dropping connections and sometimes unable to connect at all. An evening disco would be nice if the DJ sometimes listened to guests' wishes to play a song. By playing according to his own style, he drove people off the floor, and then they didn't come.
The whole impression of the entire stay was saved by two things, namely the room service and the animators. These two aspects were TOP.
At the end of everything, it would be good to find out what a barrier-free room should look like!!! This means a larger entrance to the bathroom, more space in the bathroom and even in the toilet. Grab bar in the bathroom and on the toilet, Bath chair in the shower corner. If this is not in the equipment of the room, it cannot be claimed as wheelchair accessible! Try to get inspired in hotels in Sweden, Norway, etc. The air conditioning in the room was very noisy and it was impossible to sleep with it.
Old worn out room equipment with poor lighting. According to the world rating of hotels, this equipment corresponds to two to three stars.

We just loved this stay. It was our first time in Egypt, and we enjoyed every minute of it. Our room attendant Mohamed Yousef (r. 1023) was very helpful, attentive to the detail, he kept the room really tidy and was friendly to us, strangers :)

Well, all the staff was very nice, in the restaurant as well, and we would like to express our gratitude. Thank you all!

We also had a pleasant experience with the pharmacist who is very knowledgeable.

We loved the dining. From breakfast to dinner, it was a coctail of different tastes, mostly delicious, and the variety was amazing.

The only thing I was not happy about was a loud disco almost every night. I understand it is important to keep the young guests entertained (well, we also did dance one night, for a few minutes o), but I would suggest to change the doors and windows for soundproof ones (a few rooms in each cathegory would do). That way, everyone would be happy, even those who like to go to bed early and read some book.

In the shallow water we met a Polish couple who was feeding the fish. Even though it is written everywhere "Do not feed the fish". Some people are just impossible.

I also have to share that I did not like some of the Czech tourists who were literally bringing their culture to Egypt. When you travel, you should let yourself be surrounded by everything local. Asking for Czech beer or Czech music, omg, I almost felt ashamed of being Czech, too.

One advice for the end, if I may - please everyone use sunscreen made with respect to the ocean (without oxybenzone and octinoxate), making it safe for coral reefs and marine life. Search for brands with "ocean respect" logo. It is the least we can do to try to protect the beautiful nature, the stunning sealife in Egypt (and everywhere else, really).

The Brayka Hotel in Egypt is undoubtedly one of the best places I have ever been. Its quality and hospitality exceeded my expectations, and I would like to share my enthusiasm for this amazing stay.

I'll start with the most crucial part of any stay - the dining experience. Brayka Hotel boasts an incredibly diverse range of cuisine, from traditional Egyptian dishes to international delicacies. Fresh ingredients and excellent food preparation were a pleasant surprise for me.

Access to the beach was a highlight of my stay. The beach was beautifully maintained, with fine sand beneath my feet. Sunbeds and umbrellas were always available, and the staff was always willing to assist with any requests. The cleanliness of the beach and sea was impeccable.

The overall cleanliness of the hotel pleasantly surprised me. Rooms were cleaned daily, and public areas were kept in impeccable condition. The staff truly emphasized cleanliness, which was important to me.

However, what impressed me the most was the positive attitude of the staff. From the moment I arrived until the moment I left, the staff was always friendly and willing to help. Whether I needed advice on food selection or tips for excursions, there was always someone willing to assist me.

The beautiful environment of Brayka Hotel is also worth mentioning. The architecture and design of the hotel are tasteful and pleasant. The combination of modern luxury and traditional elements creates a truly pleasant atmosphere.

During the November period, I appreciated the fact that there were fewer people in the hotel. This contributed to a calm atmosphere and allowed me to relax wonderfully. I greatly appreciated not having to compete for a spot on the beach or at dinner.

The entertainment programs were fantastic and contributed to the overall experience. Every evening brought something new - from dance performances to music concerts. The animators were energetic and created a pleasant atmosphere.

The variety of sports was another plus for me at this hotel. I had the opportunity to try various activities, from beach volleyball to snorkeling. Brayka Hotel exceeded expectations in terms of entertainment and relaxation.

The overall impression of Brayka Hotel is absolutely positive. I appreciated not only the excellent services and facilities but also the friendly and professional approach of the staff. This hotel in Egypt is a great choice for those seeking a combination of relaxation, good food, and a variety of activities. I highly recommend it and hope to return soon.

I spent a very nice holidays at the Brayka Royal Bech hotel. I was very satisfied with the hotel's services. The hotel staff was very kind and smiling, also professional. The hotel was absolutely clean, it has beautifully landscaped gardens, I appreciate the regular cleaning of the room, which I always found in perfect order. Thanks To Mr. Shaban who cleaned my room. The choice of food in the restaurant was wide, I liked the food and the staff took very good care of me and my family. Thanks to Mr. Emil Awad and his team for the excellent service in the restaurant. I enjoyed snorkeling and the lifeguards on the pier were my security, who were very helpful. We saw dolphins, turtles and beautiful undersea life. I highly recommend the hotel! Best regards, Silvie - teacher :)

We spent only one week in this excellent resort but despite this fact it was time full of great activities due to them we really enjoyed our holiday. The animation programme was every day very well prepared for kids and adults too, from morning until later evening. Special thanks to Markéta, Anička and Omar and of course the DJ! Always nice and making super time for us. Hotel is very comfortable and staff always helpful and smiling, very tasty food, variable meals with lots of vegetable, snorkeling along the reef watching wonderful colorful fish, swimming in pure sea, water slide, large garden full of flowers in blossom...we plan to come back soon!

Pros:
The beach and the location of the hotel is great. Some staff were really friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean and nice. The hotel goes to great length to ensure that the guest are well entertained.

Cons:
A few hotel staff is not as great as the others, which ruined my experience.
1. Different colored wristbands for hotel guests, which is for the convenience of identifying which package type you are on, (all inclusive; inclusive of alcoholic drink, or limited: alcoholic drinks comes at extra charge). I did not take the all inclusive because I am not much of a drinker, and the quality of alcoholic drinks there isn't great. However, some hotel staff treats you differently based on the color of the wristband. A few times, I tried to order some drinks, knowing very well that it will be extra charges, but the treatment was rude and I was told off a few times that my wristband is not all inclusive and does not come with alcoholic drinks. They wouldn't even entertain you if your wristband are of a different color. At some point, it begins to get frustrating.

2. We invited our tour guide to have dinner with us since he spent the whole day with us, and had not anything to eat yet. We already subscribed the meal plans at the hotel, so it's pointless for all of us to go eat outside so we decided to just pay for our tour guide to have dinner with us. When we enquired the hotel how much would we have to pay for an additional person for dinner, the moment they found out that it was for our tour guide, they said it's not allowed. They said its the policy, but was not able to show the mentioned policy. We argued that this doesn't make sense, later they did say they could make an exception but by then our tour guide was already embarrassed by the treatment he received, he didn't want to join us for dinner.

3. I could totally understand the security check for going in and out of the hotel, the security guards are generally okay except one, who was being a complete jerk when we were going out. We were already late, we waited over an hour for our driver and when we are leaving the gate, the security was being very difficult with us. I gave my hotel room number, but he wants all the room number, we were in van of like 10 people. It was such an inconvenience, but the guard was more than happy to exert his authority to not let us go out, he was rude. It's a hotel, not a prison!! That just really ruined our evening.

Overall, I was happy with the hotel. But will I be coming back? I don't think so.
The experiences really left a sour taste in my mouth. I don't think it's a fair representation of the whole hotel, because some parts of it is really nice, and some staff were very kind. I just don't like the differential treatment and the double standards.

That was one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in

There were few downsides, however the whole experience was really good !!

Negatives:

- the food wasn't of the best quality

For ex: First day we arrived, there were some rotten veggies in the salads with bad smell,
I told the responsible chefs and they politely apologized and removed them immediately ..

Maybe as there were tomatoes , we were in July and it was crowded in Eid ..

But the rest of the food wasn't bad, they usually tried to have a variety and to be

- the beach was awesome as I will further explain , however sometimes the waves bring a lot of rubbish, plastic and sea grass which sometimes bothered us while snorkeling, 🤿🤿we used to clean some and throw them in the baskets though

Positives 🥰:

Beach was awesome , first time to go to an hotel with my big family and all get amused and happy with the beach , it's spacious and clean
Although the hotel had many guests, we weren't bothered at all!
It has a big sandy beach and it has a jetty for the coral reef part , which was simply amazing
One tour guide told us it is one of the best beaches with best corals in Marsa alam,

We could see a lot of fishes with a huge variety colours and sizes, one of my friends also saw a turtle 🐢 early morning

They also served delicious chocolate ice cream 🍦🍦 on the beach bar

Rooms were good too, it has a sea view wich was really great

Animation team was simply awesome, they used to make lovely shows at night with many games for children and adults, we didn't get bored at all !!

The scenery there was amazing, there was a wooden bridge were you can walk or relax, there is a lot of green areas

there was also a marble chair made as a memorial for the the engineer who founded the place , a great place to see the sunrise too !
🌅🌅

will definitely come back !!
