Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Underwhelmed by standard cabin. Was told it was linen provided but only had a fitted sheet and a duvet so we slept in our sleeping bags. Minimal air circulation. Very small communal kitchen which was difficult to use with a family. Small adequate playground. Warm showers.

Stayed here for a night in cabin 13. I had booked without looking at the reviews and thought o no what have I done. But I couldn’t see the problems people were talking about. Ok the bed was hard but that nothing. The pool was clean the room was tidy me smells. All and all it was good

Really disappointed with the kitchen cabin we had. The room was damp and smelled musty as described in previous reviews (wish I had read trip advisor before booking). There was an out of order sign on the zip (only hot water for the room) and the couch was broken, the kitchen walls needed a good wipe down. The communal bathroom area was very tired and whilst the actual loos and showers were clean the walls and corners were in desperate need of a good scrub. The grounds also need some time spent on them. When we arrived the owners were not there due to a family emergency and Timaru was booked out so there were no other options. However, when I discussed my concerns with the owner the next afternoon she was very accommodating and kindly reduced the price. On the plus side the beds were clean and comfortable, many of the other cabins have been refurbished and looked lovely. Suggest cabin 14 gets a re furbish before letting again as it really lets your facility down.

While the grounds are pleasant and kids loved the pool, the self contained cabin was not good value. When we arrived the carpets were damp and the cabin smelled musty. Appeared to be a mould problem and the smell was quite strong. We left all windows open but as soon as we locked up the musty smell was back again. Have had much better accommodation for a lot less cost.

Sorry Glenmark but it's a 1 star from us. Unfortunately the host was trying to run reception even though clearly unwell, and confirmed Covid positive. The website and photos advertised are not a good indication of what the park was like. Whilst the cabin we stayed in was clean and tidy, the fascilities were tired and in some parts dilapidated. The run down, dirty and overgrown carvans in the park were off putting and not what we expected given the website. I would not recommend this park and would not return.

Stayed at one of the powered campsites, the staff member we met was very helpful, leant us a caravan to 240V wall adapter to charge our Nissan Leaf. Good facilities, good service. Could recommend a few more amenities in the communal kitchen, however- communal things like oil and salt and pepper would be nice to have around.

I stayed at Glenmark for 2 nights on my way to and from Christchurch. My sunny self contained unit was clean, comfortable and pleasant. I was able to have my 2 dogs with me and they just loved being able to run around on the grassed area out the back.
