Alan and Anita are wonderful hosts and offer superb bed and breakfast with evening meal. Lovely bright and clean rooms with spectacular views and a glorious garden. We were very interested in seeing the olive groves. Can highly recommend. Michael and Sue England

My wife and I stayed at Longview farm while en route from Christchurch to Dunedin. The room was well appointed and very quiet. The view of the rolling hills around the property is lovely. The hosts, Anita and Alan, are wonderful. We had a very enjoyable and informative conversation with them over breakfast. The breakfast, cooked by Anita, was excellent. They make their own olive oil which is some of the best we have ever tasted. We definitely recommend purchasing a bottle.

Our farm stay with Anita and Alan was one of the highlights of our Smartours vacation in New Zealand. The setting is magnificent and while Anita was preparing dinner Alan took us exploring the olive trees, fruit trees and vegetable gardens, etc. The house is modern, spacious and complete with magnificent views. There were 4 of us; one couple had the bedroom with the ensuite bath and my friend and I shared the twin bedroom. We had the use of a separate walk -in shower, which was so nice after days of climbing into hotel tubs for the daily wash!

This really was the jewel in the crown as far as our holiday accommation went on our tour of South Island, New Zealand. Anita and Alan are wonder hosts, who spend time getting to know you, whilst having a wonderful balance between friendliness and privacy Anita and Alan are well travelled themselves, conversation just flows. We had the double ensuite bedroom, which had the most fantastic views onto the well tended garden and their olive grove, and across the rolling hills with a backdrop of (when we were there in August) snow covered mountains. Anita cooked us a lovely breakfast, which set us up for the day. Thank you Anita and Alan for a fabulous stay.

We stayed here en route from Aoraki to Christchurch. It is a quiet, sweet spot off the beaten path. The hosts are welcoming, have a nice balance of engaging and respecting our privacy, and have done smart and interesting travel themselves. It was a lovely way to approach the end of our month's stay in New Zealand.

GREAT PLACE. NICE FAMILY. A little far from a city, but quite and comfortable when you fill tired at night. It is a little bit difficult to navigate to the place. Good food, very worm hospitality. Since we came over at late evening, we are not able to recomend a trip around.

A little oasis. Every detail is just perfect. The rooms are designed with lots of love and with a touch of Italy. A wonderful view over the countryside and through a wonderful garden included. Also you can have a lovely chat with Anita while enjoying her breakfast. She's so bright. If you have a slight chance to drive through Pleasant Point, you have to plan with at least a one night stay here!

En route from Queenstown to Nelson, we happened across Anita & Allan's place. A quick phone call and Anita was sorting our family straight away. We arrived and were made to feel most welcome. It's a lovely space with beautiful gardens and verandahs off every room. We had beautiful views, luxury furnishings and we were most pleased with our breakfast of Eggs Benedict in the morning. We only stayed for the one night, but it surely left us all with a lasting impression and feeling very well rested. Thanks to you both for a lovely stay!

Warm welcome to Anita and Alan's home, fantastic garden and views, delicious breakfast and high standard of accommodation -- ensuite bedroom and separate guest lounge with tea and coffee making facilities, interesting reading material and TV. The sun rising over the Southern Alps in the morning was a stunning.

Thanks to Anita and Alan all 4 of us were so pleased about the warm and friendly welcome after the longest journey so far, arriving from Germany our family holiday started immediatly. The name Longview keeps its promises - and it's not only the fantastic view - it' the whole atmosphere. The very best after a night in the lovely decorated and cozy bedrooms is the breakfast. The kids loved the eggs variants. We got plenty hints were to go and what to see. So we enjoyed our 3 night stay very much but we had to go because we wanted to see more of this amazing country. Once again thanks for the lovely stay - and one thing is for sure, we will be back one day ;-).
