We stayed here based on previous reviews and it was just the best place to stay,.
In fact we rebooked 4 days later on our return back up the coast and enjoyed the same rooms.
This place was Affordable, very clean, comfortable, well appointed and quiet,
We could not fault this venue and our hosts made us feel very welcome

Kay and Des are extremely welcoming hosts often upgrading returning guests if possible. The motel is exceptionally clean, comfortable and modern including the new Smart tvs which even have Netflix. This is one of our favourite motels in NZ and our first choice in Ashburton.

The room and bathroom were nice and big and very clean. The hosts were very friendly. The kitchen is well equiped and the bed comfortable. I had a room further back and did not hear the street. I would stay there any time again. The location was a perfect stop between Christchurch after visiting Akaroa and Dunedin.

My friend and I had 3 nights at Taylor's Motel in Ashburton, and I have to say it was absolutely the best motel I've ever stayed in, and I've stayed in many.
The beds were so incredibly supportive and comfortable with the best mattress toppers and underlays.
The bedding, drapes, crockery and furnishings were very good quality. The bonus of sun shades behind the drapes was very welcome.
Our rooms were serviced beautifully each morning, and the staff were incredibly accommodating in so many ways.
I can HIGHLY RECOMMEND Taylor's Motel to one and all.
I will definitely be back 🥰

Do something new NZ! Don’t just pass through Ashburton - pull into Taylor’s & stay a night or two with hosts Des & Kay Rogers. Owner operated since 2005. My uncle & Dad stayed in this place in the 1970s, still going strong in modern trim. Great value, quiet, comfy with Netflix or YouTube. Handy to the Phat Duck across the railway for a great meal. Best of all is the welcome & hospitality, not only fresh bottle of milk but an offer of a welcome ale too, never have I experienced that! No wonder they are #1 on TA. Well deserved.
They locked our bikes in their carport which is over & above. We went to the airport museum, a must do & a good reason to visit. Keep it up Taylor’s!

This little gem has everything you need; plug sockets where you want them, robes in the wardrobe. the shower was powerful and hot and It was spotlessly clean. The staff were super friendly and so helpful. A very comfortable night’s sleep.

We booked to stay here in a bit of an emergency due to SH6 being closed, a number of other guests were also in the same situation. The room was clean, modern and well equipped with everything you would need. We also booked a breakfast which was very good and brought to our room. Thanks to Kay for making us so welcome

Stopped off on way to Christchurch with the family. The two bedroom units are relatively spacious they are well appointed with a television in the main bedroom the kitchen has an oven and microwave. Despite being relatively close to the road the sound proofing for the motel is sufficient for the children there is a spring free trampoline small playground and swimming pool. In addition there is a covered barbecue area.
Check in and service were easy - only small downside was slow speed of internet.

Loved our stay at Taylors Motel in Ashburton. The grounds are manicured with a variety of seating outside the rooms and shaded bbq areas. The rooms are spacious, quiet, clean with comfortable beds and seating. Friendly, approachable management. We will definitely stay here again.
