A relaxing getaway from the city. I have been to many hotels and motels in NZ. This is one of the best I have been. It is very spacious, tidy and clean. Bedroom and lounge is separated, there is also cooking facilities including the induction cooktop, microwave, toaster, kettle & a fridge for you to cook a simple meal. Nice view from the balcony. The room I stayed in has a spa pool, so you can relax and unwind. Staff are friendly and approachable . Overall, an amazing weekend for two. Would highly recommend this motel to any couple. :)
Friendly service - so helpful and warm. Room was largish size couldnt hear noise. Amazing location across the road from the beach. Beds so comfy, great shower pressure. Good size unit with fantastic ground floor outdoor area.
Have stayed here twice this year. No maintenance being done. Air con still doesn’t work and now the toilet cistern blasts water thru every 4 minutes. Sleepless night. Time to find a new place to stay for a bath.
First the location: Orewa, as a seaside community, is surprisingly upscale. If you know Laguna Beach or Manhattan Beach in the LA counties, you’d find similarities. Upmarket vibe. Stylish. The motel is modern but cosy and well designed. The rooms are nicely laid out with small kitchenette. Big bathroom. Staff are friendly. The motel isn’t on the beach but it’s all of a minute walk, if that. And the beach is long, sweeping and dramatic. Decent bars and restaurants are about a 7 minute walk away. If we come back to the Niryh Island we’d stay / visit here again.
Room was clean and tidy, but looking very tired. Usual facilities supplied. Road frontage room suffered from traffic noise. Reasonably handy to shopping and dining establishments. Good selection of cafes, restaurants and bars.
Lovely clean roomy unit, shower pressure is good. Beach is just a few steps away, handy walkign distance to main street. Free unlimited wi fi which is great! Great curtains to block out light. Does only have a very small fridge with a little freezer box which doesn't really re freeze your ice packs, that's the only negative.
Only one night on way up north. A good spot but expensive for what it is. Shower dangerous for the elderly as have to climb out of large spa bath. Toilet paper of poor quality considering the price of the accommodation. Friendly staff and good parking
Great night had in unit 6..Large comfortable rooms,bedroom,lounge/kitchen,bathroom.. All facilities very good and good value continental breakfast.. Value for money and would definitely stay again when in the area..Helpful,friendly staff..
Close to Orewa beach. Room was clean and tidy and the bed was comfortable. You can walk to cafes and restaurants from here. Kitchen area was well appointed with basic utensils, pots , plates, glasses and cutlery.
My husband and I stayed here for one night. On enetering the room it was very musty smelling and the place had a general "rundown" feel to it. The bed was comfortable but with other much nicer places in town I would not stay here again. Good location though. Also seemed to have some language/communication issues with reception.
