A lovely spot for a family stay - an easy walk to a playground, and on to the shops, or up to the junction. Parking was easy. Impressed overall with the effort put in to keep the place running since it appears that it's just the one couple with no staff and they were pretty busy the weekend we were there. But there were a few strange things. Our room was set up for four, with a full oven. But we only had one small pot and one large frying pan for cooking. If four people had actually stayed, we would have had nowhere out of the way to put our belongings, and if it had been wet, nowhere to hang anything. While towels were changed each day and the kitchen bin emptied, the beds weren't pulled up or changed (in a 5 night stay), and we had to go and ask for more dishwash liquid and toilet paper. We had a pleasant stay, and we'd stay again in warmer seasons, but probably wouldn't choose this motel in winter, as the room we were in was cold in April and took our whole stay to get warm enough to turn the heater off.

Very welcoming at reception. Nice easy check in. If you have heavy bags ask for a downstairs unit. Unit clean and tidy, bed comfy, bathroom small but a great shower. Heater was making a ticking noise so we had to turn it off so we could sleep. Fridge was turning on and off all night so turned that off also. Could hear the person next door snoring on and off all night. Motel is situated about 900 metres from town. Nice easy walk to town. If you want amazing photos right outside your door you will love this place.

Could not have asked for better service. Is a clean tidy and modern, budget motel, just down the road from the mountain. The host is very welcoming. The room has everything you need for a break away from home. I would highly recommend this place

I booked a studio, it was small but clean and with a nice view on the mountain. The staff was very kind, welcoming and helpful. The TV only had a few channel working but they had a lot of DVDs you could borrow. No AC but no need because even if i stayed during the summer i had to use the heater a little. Free parking.

While hot water for a shower seemed rather temperamental, it was the kitchen that caused the most problems. On arrival, the fridge was turned off and the door open. OK - that was fine. Fridges do need to be aired. Across the kitchen from the fridge was the jug - on top of a microwave cupboard so high up that I could only get it by bringing down the tray it was sitting on. Plugging in the jug brought no action at all and neither would the microwave work. Looking very closely at the switch, I found a barely legible message. For this plug to work, the fridge - more than a meter away with a separate wall switch - needed to be turned on. Afternoon tea at last! While trying to cook a light evening meal, there were more problems. The wiring has been set up so it is not possible to use both the microwave and cooktop at the same time. This is ridiculous while trying to prepare food. Even more annoying was the fact we were in a "Deluxe King Studio". Deluxe? Surely for the rather high tariff of $160 (minimum of 2 nights stay) we could expect matching cutlery and crockery? Nothing matched, different sizes and shapes for cups and dessert plates and there was only the minimum two of everything so matching shouldn't have been a big problem. For example there were two spoons - one dessert spoon and one soup spoon. A minor niggle, I know, but at that tariff, I expected more. Parking is on site, but spaces are very narrow and quite awkward to get into with other large sized vehicles needing plenty of space. The TV worked fine - on all the channels except the one we wanted to watch - TV1 - which desperately needed to be tuned. People were 'stretched' and visible only through a snowstorm.
