We stayed 2 nights. Very basic accommodation with no frills. It was meticulously clean & warm. The room layout was good.
However our room needed a paint inside & the shower head was broken so didn't stay up. There was a small hole in the wall in the bathroom.
The other guests smoking outside our room was terrible but not the fault of the hotel. It would be good if they had a no smoking sign up thou.
The car parks are just too short for a normal sized vehicle and does need some work to make it easier to park outside you room.

Ruapehu Views is very clean and comfortable. It's 2 bedroom set-up has a double bed and bunks in a separate room. The lounge has a large settee and TV. The kitchen is small, but large enough to cook breakfasts - make lunches etc... but probably not well-equipped enough for a large evening meal. We stayed here as a base for skiing with our 7 and 4 year olds. The guy who looks after the place is very helpful and friendly. The downsides were that there was very minimal servicing of the apartment - with children it gets so messy and I would have liked a bit of vacuuming and fresh towels. Also I though it was a bit steep to have to pay $10 to use the the spa...but I liked this place because it was clean clean clean....and a cosy treat to have heated blankets on the beds.

Booked in here via the local Isite in Ohakune for one night, got quoted 1 price from Isite and then a dearer price from reception on phone due to 2 night minimum on the weekend. One night is better than nothing! Place was very basic, 1 spoon for 2 people seems a bit silly. When you're down stairs the Spa rumbles throughout the rooms and starts at 5-00am. I will not stay here again, the camp ground across the road looked more inviting. On a plus side our room was clean and bed was comfy.

We (2 couples) stayed there for 2 nights in a one bedroom suite (room number 5, ground floor) and I found it quite comfortable and cozy.
As a Motel, it has a free parking so you can park your car right behind the room which is making it easy to get to the car specially in winter and cold weather.
Our room had a small kitchen, fridge and electrical heated mattresses (+ a wall mounted room heater) which made it comfotable at cold nights of Ohakune.
They provided clean sheets for us as well, but that would be good to have your own sheets for the comforters.
We didn't have the time to ask but there's a spa onsite as well.
The guy in the reception was a great person. We left a laptop behind and noticed it several hours after checking out and he kindly sent it to Auckland in good condition :) Thanks for that.
Don't expect a luxury hotel as you're paying a very low price but it gives you all you need to have a fun holiday (Skiing in Turoa and having a nightlife experience in Ohakune)
In total, we paid $374 for 2 nights (4 people).

Our family of 4 recently stayed in a 1 bedroom unit upstairs for a ski weekend. We always look for places that are self contained to allow us to have breakfast in, but did not expect to be picnicking on the floor as there was no table and washing dishes in the bathroom basin as there was no kitchen sink. There was also no coffee plunger (crisis!) and we had to ask for a tea towel and dish brush. The guy on reception had poor customer service skills and wasn't particularly quick to address our concerns. The cleaners must have been equally slack; I found a condom wrapper under one of the beds when I was looking for a lost toy!
Nice spa but it is not maintained well. On the second day the temperature and water level had both dropped too low for enjoyment.
The main room had an effective heater but it was noisy to run all night, yet a bit cold without it. The second bedrooms had no heater.
All up, in a tourist town, you can definitely do better.

Booked 2 nights - first night was like orientation week downstairs with other guests partying. No intervention by management. No reasonable offer to address the issue by the owner for the second night so moved to another motel.

We stayed in a 2 bedroom family room, the unit was nice and clean but VERY basic. Being out of season there were only us in the motel, no staff were on site only a phone call away and very helpful (if you have a mobile)

On a drive from Wellington to Rotorua we decided to spend a night at Ohakune...near the ski fields of Turoa and Whakapapa. Weather permitting we would have spent a day or two skiing but that was not to be. Nevertheless...our stay at Ruapehu Views met our requirements for overnight accommodation. We were warmly welcomed by a friendly staff member. Our room was clean and well appointed with all the basic facilities Located within short walking distance of the township with a great selection of restaurants.
We will happily consider this Motel for any future travels through this area.

We stayed here for 4 nights and were a little dubious about booking from reading previous reviews on here.

We were greeted by friendly staff we put that we would be arriving early (check in is at 2 and I believe the staff don't arrive until then) they came at 1 for us, we called to say we had arrived (took them less than 5 minutes to arrive) and gave us our key. We were a upstairs room (9) that didn't have a full kitchen- there was a fridge, kettle and microwave- perfect for what we needed. There was free tea/coffee/hot chocolate and some milk provided as well as soap in the bathrooms.
Plenty of blankets for us but you can ask for extra if your cold. This was a no fuss motel just off the Main Street with free parking. Our room was serviced everyday so we had clean dry towels and our bins emptied, great service for the price.
We had a great view of the mountain on the balcony and access the the spa for free :)

We tried the Lemongrass restaurant that they own round the corner, fantastic Thai food which is very well priced.

We would definitely recommend Ruapehu Views can't get better for the money. Thanks

Stayed 1 night here with the family & can't fault the place. Warm, comfortable & great value for money. Perfect place for families visiting the Ruapehu area. The queen bed in the lounge & 3 beds in the separate bedroom suited us perfectly.
