One day river adventures by Whanganui River Adventures on the Whanganui River is also available combining a mix of jet boat up to the walk into the Bridge to Nowhere and canoe back on the Whanganui River to home base. Turoa ski field has the largest skiiable area in New Zealand during the winter with Whakapappa a close second. Both have great ski facilities and located on the side of Mt.
