It has free parking areas and several supermarkets very close by.
The bed is very comfortable, which is appreciated if you go for several days.
On a negative note, the room does not have a refrigerator.

Our room (a double, No. 405) was big enough and functional, spotlessly clean, decorated in the seventies-eighties style and provided with AC. The wi-fi connection in room was virtually useless, being very weak and unreliable. The bed was a three-quarter one. In the bathroom, there were a bathtub and a bidet.
The breakfast buffet (which costs 7 € per person) is large and of good quality. They also serve decent meals at lunch and dinner.
All in all, for 45 €, I would choose it again.
Oh, one last thing: the main entrance could be awkward for those with walking difficulties (several steps and no ramp). In case of need, I suppose one could get in through the door of the restaurant, on the left.

The hotel is very close to the railway station outside the old walls for which Avila is famous.
Buses are cheap at €1 and the #1 and a few others stop close by that can take you to or frommthe old walled city. But it is only a 15 minute walk away.
The hotel is simple evidenced by the traditional key on a heavy knob. This can be left behind.
The room and the bathroom are fine but not luxurious. The towels are quite old though.
There is a cafeteria attached open to the hotel and the street. Food and drinks can be brought form the cafeteria to the lounge / TV room.
Thus the hotel is fine and good value for money.
The staff was very friendly and nice.
The breakfast was very good.
If you are trying to find this hotel, come to it from the northern side not the southern side. If you are coming from the south, take the 3rd exit on the motorway in the direction of Madrid. It is virtually impossible to drive into the hotel from the south as the Walled Castle is in the way.
The receptionist only spoke Spanish but my rudimentary Spanish was adequate. To improve this hotel, they need to extend the bar into a restaurant.
