This hotel, a 10-minute walk from the historic center, is definitely recommended. We received a very friendly welcome at reception. After checking in, we park our car (paid) in the parking garage next to the hotel. We take the elevator to the room. The hall looks very neat with bronze carpeting so that we are not bothered by (rolling) suitcases. The rooms are also very well maintained and have a good, but quite hard bed. The rooms are quiet and dark. There is a mini bar and TV. The bathroom is neat, but the bath tap is difficult to adjust.
We found breakfast to be on the pricey side (€13 pp).

Excellent. Above all in the treatment and extreme kindness of ALL the employees, from reception, cleaning staff, waiters, cafeteria, etc. After visiting many hotels, even from this same chain, this is the only one that has moved me to write my opinion, especially to thank all the staff for their treatment, and their desire to please.
In short, FRIENDLY TREATMENT, everything clean, without structural defects in the rooms and bathrooms, well soundproofed from the street, bathrooms with bidets, closets with plenty of classic hangers, which are easily taken down, even by people with more moderate size.
The buffet breakfast, where you don't have to go looking for plates, cups, glasses, cutlery, sugar, etc. since you find everything on the table when you enter. They constantly remove used dishes from the table and replace all the food that is consumed.
All personnel know their mission well, and each one executes their task perfectly, resulting in a perfectly organized army.
I ask Management to extend my gratitude to all staff for their professionalism, and for the excellent treatment and kindness provided.

My wife and I stayed at the Exe Reina Isabel for 4 nights last week, as part of a 5-city tour of north-western Spain. The staff were pleasant, courteous and efficient on all occasions. However, we experienced a number of problems with the hotel room itself. Air conditioning was centrally locked to 'heat' automatically, and we began to boil with some rapidity. Alas, the window was also locked, and so a member of staff had to be called to open it. The shower system in the bathroom was somewhat dated,, and the lever/knob which operated it fell off when we tried to use it. A member of staff had to be called to help us (who arrived very promptly). The room plug socket - useful for charging phones etc - also failed to work, so phones were charged in a bathroom socket. The room window, when opened, also provided a less than edifying view made up of backyards and refuse bins. On the positive side, all the breakfasts provided were of very reasonable quality. Choices were quite varied, and the staff were efficient and attentive. There were, probably not enough staff in attendance, however. On the Saturday, staff were seemingly overrun by a large number of visitors, who all descended for breakfasts at the same time, and demolished available food supplies within a few minutes - replenishments and cleaned, empty tables were consequently in short supply. Elsewhere, the attached hotel cafe and bar proved to be good, offering good quality snacks and drinks at a reasonable price. All in all, a mixed stay.

We stayed from August 20 to 21 in two rooms on a trip to the north of Spain and in the process visited what we had time for in the monumental city of Ávila and its heritage.
The hotel is located some distance from the historic center, but you can easily walk to the center without taking a long time. We went by car and parked in one of the parking lots next to the historic center.
It has its own parking, but we parked on the same street as the hotel, in the blue zone (it was a holiday, there was no problem parking and the next day we put in a ticket in the morning and it didn't seem like there was a problem parking either)

It is not a new hotel, with new and modern facilities (we were struck by the hallways that reminded us of those of the hotel in the movie "The Shining"), as some hotel guests point out in their comments, but it did not seem like a hotel to us at all. Obsolete and outdated that needs a renovation.
Very clean hotel with very friendly and helpful staff (the girls who attended us at check-in and check-out or the person we spoke to in the Dining Room during breakfast) and we thought it was very well managed.
The breakfast was very complete from our point of view and the freshly cut fruit stands out (which seems to be characteristic of all the hotels of this Eurostar and Exe chain, since we were in another one that week and it was also excellent).
As a negative point, but which I think is difficult to manage on the part of the hotel, since it is caused by other guests staying with uncivil behavior, point out the strong smell of tobacco (from having smoked in the room) in one of the two rooms. The rooms (311 and 313) faced the back of the hotel and for security, the windows that face this part cannot be opened, so if the person who was previously staying smokes in the room, there is no way to get out. of this smell, since it cannot be ventilated, neither by the new guests staying, nor by the cleaning service (even if it is ventilated, the smell of tobacco does not go away easily, but if on top of that it cannot be ventilated... ). We chose to have the room door that leads to the entrance hallway open for a while, but even so, when we returned at night, the smell was still in the room.

In short, it met our expectations (except for the smell of tobacco) for a hotel of this category. Recommended hotel with a good quality-price ratio, which includes breakfast in the price of the room if you book through its website.

We are in room 510, Double Room with Terrace. We booked this room so we could have the doors open for fresh air at night.

This room may be on the 5th floor but next door is the hotels aircon units. The fan is very noisey, turns on and off every few minutes, sounds like a car engin. Do not take any notice of their description, you will not get any sleep.

The room is very hot, 25°C . We turned the aircon on only to find out the hotel has now changed it to heat only. Room heating was up to 26.5°C before we found out. Had to have the patio doors open all night.

There are no restaurants in or near the hotel. The hotel has a cafe but that closes after lunch and reopens at 7pm. Rooms do not have kettle to make a drink

Have to go to the tourist old town to eat expensive mediocre food.

Positive. Room size good, bed comfortable if only you could sleep, bathroom shower/bath good, breakfast good, hotel clean. Parking tight but ok.

Wouldn't stay again.

We ask for a quiet room to rest in the reserve through its website. The rooms are supposed to be soundproofed to the outside but in the one where we were touched you could hear quite a lot of traffic. Also, you could hear a lot of people from the rest of the rooms so we could hardly rest. The beds were also not particularly comfortable, which has not happened in other hotels in this chain that we have visited. The best, breakfast. Very complete and the staff right, especially the breakfast.

The hotel that I liked the most so far. Spacious and clean room, decoration perhaps a little ornate in the hallway, but pleasant and functional. As always, compared to other hotels, we miss a toilet brush in the bathroom and there was little toilet paper. Buffet breakfast similar to other hotels, but with more variety than the rest of the hotels I have visited. Nice and attentive staff.
It is located near the Renfe station and somewhat far from the tourist center to walk. But it has the advantage that there is a bus stop outside the hotel, heading to the center and the return one is on the other side of the street. If one day I return to Ávila, I will probably repeat.

Old style hotel but the staff is very welcoming.
The rooms have all the comfort you need.

A little attention in the rooms with chocolate.

In addition, it is located in a quiet area so you can park your car in the green zone for only 1e/day instead of the 15th of the hotel.

The Reina Isabel hotel is centrally located. It is a stylish hotel, however clean and dignified. The staff is helpful, the rooms are not soundproofed and the breakfast is varied and quite good. It is a poor 4 star hotel. Advised.

The Hotel is in the city center, few, eight minutes from the wall, by the area is easy to park although there is blue line and is close to the bus station

The reception staff, very friendly, the room quite warm and that had the air conditioning off, we had to open the window throughout the stay, because it was very hot, the bed moved and was quite noisy, for the rest very well had small details such as Gummies, water, chocolates and the bathroom quite well

Recommended for a mild stay or seeing the city
