A house with History that Adolfo Suárez built in the 70's in the heart of Ávila, his hometwon, which held testimony of historical events in the context of the Spanish Transition. In direct touch with the Wall of Ávila, this exceptional place was conceived as a Retreat from the world, and today you can enjoy it too. We invite you to live an exclusive and warm experience between its walls.

This is a fabulous small boutique style hotel situated just inside the famous walls of Avila. The interior is stunning, and the room was beautifully presented.
It is a quiet and nice place to relax, having a glass of wine outside or inside the building after you have done a tour of Avila. We stayed two nights in the hotel.
Our lovely Junior suite (no 206) was very well appointed and spacious, equipped with everything you could want. A huge (2x2m) comfy bed and an exceptional huge bathroom with bathtub and walk in shower (see my attached photos). The room had a very efficient air-conditioning which is very important during the summer in Spain! We loved it and would have stayed for much longer if we could!
The pool area is the True Paradise area at this hotel (see my photos and you will agree!) Towels are provided FOC, plenty of sun beds and shaded areas. The little bar by the pool was run by a really charming and attentive staff girl.
We really liked the breakfast with a set menu (different type of ham, fruit, cheese etc.), eggs as you want them and a small buffet – but a little bit too expensive (25 EUR per person).
The dinner was also great – and what a beautiful and romantic area! – you must see my attached phots again to understand!
I will recommend you to reserve a parking space at the hotel (20 EUR per night) because this hotel is inside the town wall with no public parking area.
As a person who travels a lot, I can highly recommend this hotel if you want to have a quiet and discreet stay in Avila.

The house is charming with multiple details that make it a very special place. It is worth highlighting the welcome and explanations that Genma, one of the receptionists, gave us. He also gave us a superior room since there was availability during the week for the two nights we booked. The breakfast service is good, the products are of quality although a little more quantity and variety could be added. The facilities in general are well maintained but we thought that the pool had some dirt inside that could be improved in its maintenance. It is easy to park free of charge near the hotel. The room has everything you need for enjoyment and everything is taken care of in detail. The house is very well located in the city and silence accompanies the night's rest. It is a very special accommodation option that is worth trying to see this historical site even just once.

Our stay at Casa del Presidente had been a high point of our holiday touring western Spain. Enthusiastic professional team members, beautiful surroundings & decor and so evidently NOT a standard chain hotel. The hours spent poolside looking at the ramparts in abject silence drinking ice cold white wine were divine and we had a tasty meal in the restaurant garden-side in the evening. The breakfast was really superb and tbh much better value than the evening meal which we thought lacked the service level and inventiveness its price tag promised. No matter, we enjoyed it all a lot. Having parking right opposite was a real plus. We would go back in a heart beat and will recommend to friends.

Booked 2 rooms 2 adults 2 children on the booking we where told only the suite could entertain an extra bed and the 14 year old was free on charge We paid the extra for the suite it wasn’t a problem But too my surprise, When checking out, they had added an extra charge for the bed €100 😮 not mentioned on Check in 🤔 When I questioned it all of a sudden they could not understand English 🤔 It left me feeling I was taken advantage off ! Otherwise a Lovely hotel & surroundings, but has no personality walking around it makes you feel uncomfortable, which is not how you are meant to feel when paying a premium for a high class hotel. The staff are too young to understand proper Hospitality 😞 Maybe if they paid more for experienced staff, I wouldn’t be leaving such a negative review Taking advantage of clients to extract an extra €100 will bring you bad luck 🍀

This is a little late but I wanted to record the vey lovely stay we had at Casa del Presidente in Avila in October. We were meeting up with dear friends from Sevilla after many years and the very nice people at the Recepcion could not have been more helpful so that everything was taken care of when our friends arrived before us. They were welcomed in beautifully all according to my instructions that they were to be our guests. We ate in the restaurant both nights and it was really a beautiful experience. Excellent service. The second night we didn't want a big meal and the servers very kindly provided an almost tapas style of a meal, with several wonderful dishes, cheese and fresh bread, and ham of course! We enjoyed the recommended and beautiful wine of the region. We very much appreciated the gracious flexibility. The rooms and building are beautiful and everyone there was welcoming, helpful and professional. We would return any time we are in Avila again. Muchas Gracias!

This beautiful boutique hotel is located in the murallas de Avila. The decor of the entire place is intricate and charming. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The fireplace in the den created a very cosy and warm environment, especially after being outside in the cold weather. We had the suite and I was a bit underwhelmed when I saw it. It has just one small window and it isn’t very accommodating for a tall person. The bathroom was however very beautiful and the amenities were a plus. Wifi was good too and the food served at the restaurant for both breakfast and dinner was ok … a bit pricey for the options that were available especially for breakfast.

This is the most expensive property in Avila, and indeed the house is nice, boutique style and clean. However, for the price paid I think there were two things they should work on:
1- Parking should be included in the fee. They charge €20 per night. 2- The second floor junior suites have these lower ceilings that are not only uncomfortable (you have to be bending), but can be dangerous if you wake up in the middle of the night -you can hurt yourself.
The room has this tiny window so no much of a view.
It was a nice stay (as is expected in a hotel of this price), but it seems they overprice pretty much everything they can (like €5 for one egg).
Location is nice (inside walled city), but most Lux hotels have the same location.
Pool are garden area are really nice, and staff were very helpful and kind.

This is a fabulous boutique style hotel just inside the city walls. The interior is stunning and the room was beautifully presented - everything to the highest possible standard - and very comfortable. The staff were all very professional and welcoming and the breakfast was superb. The available parking opposite was very tricky to enter (Range Rover) but was safe and totally secure. I will certainly return when in the area and probably stay a little longer!

Very delicately dressed rooms in a marvellous building where the first President (prime minister) of Democratic Spain used to live. Built adjacent to the city walls of Ávila, with a square swimming pool set in a beautiful lush garden. Private parking which you need to book in advance. Very personal, classy reception. Comfortable bed. Breakfast again in a quaint setting. In the heart of one of the most beautiful cities of Spain. Enjoyed our stay very much.

Hidden gem in Avila, feels like being at home. Nice place, good food, kind staff. We can only recommend it. Stayed in September 2021 for one night to visit Avila. Staff also provides a short tour of the house and explains the link with “the President”.
