The best is the perfect situation of the hotel, and if you're lucky, you can wake up viewing the walls of Avila, which is great. It is close to the San Vicente Door, and 5-10 minutes close to the main places. It must be said that in Avila everything is very close, at least the old town surrounded by the walls.

We got room 103, which was in the corner and was quite good of size, but the shower was really very small. If you're a bit big, it's hard to have a confortable shower. And the bed, although quite confortable, was too small for a double bed, more in those days that beds are at least 150 cm. wide.

Breakfast is not included, and you can go to the restaurant close to the hotel, which I don't recommend: expensive for what it is.... but food in Avila is really expensive, compared to other places of Spain.

It's a good option for visiting the city, as if you are lucky, you'll be able to park your car in the street, which is green zone, so it's much more cheap than parking inside the walls of the city.

Very handy and you can get parking for fee. Pretty basic. The restaurant attached to it has minimal meals but the staff are lovely. My room was very, very noisy as it fronted onto the road. I wouldn't stay again..

Avila has a magnificent walled city which is clearly a big tourist attraction. The Hostal Murallas is just across the road, outside one of the main main Gateways through these walls and is perfectly situated..... BUT find out exactly where it is before venturing in to Avila as the streets in the old part are a maze of one way system and we had some trouble locating the hotel.

The Murallas itself is small and simple with clean and well appointed rooms. Our reception on arrival, and in the restaurant, was not the usual more than friendly style which we normally seem to receive in Spain. I think that this may be due to the 100% Tourist Nature of this part of Avila. The food in the restaurant was very basic.... mashed potatoes with pork crackling, followed by simple kebabs with very greasy chips..... ok, but nothing to sing about!!

If we visit Avila again we would probably fiind a different hotel as there are a great many Hostal to choose from.

Friendly service, basic rooms.
The entrance to the garage is from the avenue down below, and an elevator takes you up to the reception area.
Do not drive to the hotel itself, but stay below, Avenida Madrid.
The restaurant was nice, with a pleasant terrace, great for people watching.

We only stayed a night on our way north. The hotel was easy to find, check in was quick and welcoming.

The room was small but that was fine - all we wanted was a clean room, comfortable bed and decent shower, we got exactly that.

The underground car park is very tight - I’d recommend reversing in for an easier exit.

Would happily stay again as it was excellent value.

Excellent position right alongside the city walls. Parking is under the hotel so can be difficult with a large car (much the same as other city centre hotels). The staff were very pleasant and helpful and the rooms were very nicely appointed. You enter on level 4 and go down to the rooms, those on the 3rd floor have patios which is nice.

The room was clean, bed was comfortable, but the shower was broken. The room was on level 1, very noisy, toiletries almost non-exsistent.
The breakfast, included in the room rate, was awful. We were offered coffee, orange juice and a bocadillo, with either a Tortilla, Cheese, or Ham filling, plus a slice of cake and a biscuit!! The only good thing about this 'place' was the convenient location to the walled city. Don't think I will be returning.

Very good position opposite entrance to walled city. The room was spotless and the ensuite had a shower which is more convenient. Booked parking at hotel which is advisable because Avila is a very busy tourist resort. Resturant and bar adjacent to hotel expensive, easier to walk into Avila and find cheap bars. Breakfast was very basic. Although, the room was booked two weeks in advance the view was disappointing, overlooking the outlet vents from the garage! OK if just an overnight stay.

We choose this hotel for three reasons; it's location, right next to the city walls, secure parking and allowing pets (we had our little dog with us). It also has a restaurant next to it. So all very convenient. Most of the rooms have a small terrace which is good for pets.

The hotel is ideally situated just outside the walls and to enter the walled city you just cross the road and one entrance is there , or you can walk around the base of the walls and there are numerous bars and restaurants as well as more gates into the city. The walled city is vey compact and easily walked. The hotel has off street parking outside but this is vey busy because of the position to the city entrance but there is an underground car park for the hotel but vet compact. The rooms were ample, clean and well decorated. You can have breakfasts and meals at the hotel restaurant next door but you have to go outside to get there. A good base foe exploring and enjoying Avila, would definitely use again

Siempre suele haber sitio fuera, aunque es zona azul, si vas fin de semana es gratuito y entre semana a partir de las 20 también. No usamos el parking, no puedo solucionarte mucho... Disfruta de Ávila
