The staff truly cares and is very attentive. The restaurant and bar are great! The room was clean and had all the accommodates you would expect. The workout center is not up to par; there are older machines in there for the photo op only. They didn't work when I got there, then they fixed 2 or 3 of the 5. No weights or resistance machines and the room is literally 80 degrees, shared with the heated pool.

We had to go to Juneau for a family tragedy that was last minute planning. It was late June and there was an extreme heat event all along the Pacific Coast from California to Alaska. Travel was brutally hot and the density of people in the airports and the planes seemed to add that extra layer of discomfort to every part of the journey. Masking our faced as an extra precaution during the late stages of the Covid Pandemic just added to the problem.
Alaska or not, 81 degrees is hot. The sun intensity is compounded by the upper latitude and the humidity of the region being a coastal environment. When i booked our stay at the hotel i neglected to check if there as air conditioning at the Wyndham Travel Lodge. There is not. Its an old hotel and is in pretty good condition with the renovations and upkeep the owners and staff have put into it. Once into the upper floors and into our room around every passing corner there is less circulation. The room was stagnant with hot air and even with the window open and having a small oscillating fan provided by the hotel, it was stifling in there. It was hot outside and there wasnt a leaf or blade of grass moving, there was no breeze just heat. My spouse and i slept on top of the beds and sweat our way through the night with limited hours of darkness. The wave was kind enough to warm things up early in the morning as the sun was out by 4:30.
Normally when traveling its nice to cool the room down and black out the light so its quieter and you can sleep in, not this trip.
I think the Travel Lodge could figure out a system to compensate extreme surges be it winter or summer to keep the guests more comfortable. I also was disappointed that there was no breakfast accommodations for the guests other than a voucher for a discount on the bill if you chose to go to the restaurant located in the same building. The hotel as is, was very clean, it has been remodeled, and looks pretty good considering its an old building. The staff were courteous, helpful, and do a good job keeping the place operational. The restaurant has pretty good food and is in house so that is helpful for dinner options. They also have a bar if your inclined to sit for awhile.

This is basic hotel. Clean, acceptably priced, but lacking some services generally available in the same price range.
The airport shuttle is prompt at midnight, the bed is firm and very comfortable, linens are smooth pleasant cotton, pillows are acceptable.
Morning shuttle to anywhere beside the airport is very inconvenient. You may need a taxi or Lyft which is stupid expensive for a short drive.
The stand out for me was the age and style of this hotel and yet it was extremely clean the interiors were in incredibly good repair. It was like a time capsule from the early 80's.

We stayed here for 6 days and we like this hotel better than any other hotel in Juneau. They have a great warm swimming pool and hot tub , a really good Mexican an American food restaurant and a friendly bar. They have room service. All the employees are great and a special shout out to Carlene who is the trouble shooter extraordinaire. The rooms have fridges microwaves coffee machines and overhead lighting. I highly recommend staying here.

The oscillating fans in the guest room are a rare treat in Juneau! I"ll be a loyal patron!! I checked in late, around 9:00 p.m.. The staff on duty was very polite and helpful with my need for help with two large pieces of luggage. The morning staff however, was not so accommodating. I asked if there was someone to assist me with luggage and I was refused help. I will be back though, the rooms are very comfortable and this was a very convenient and accommodating lodge!!

Our room cost almost $300 and it was mid 70s outside and had no air-conditioning. There was one oscillating fan which basically stirred around hot air in a room in which we were unable to sleep due to the uncomfortable level of heat. This hotel needs to come up with a better solution for when Juneau is experiencing above average temperatures. Great location relative to the airport and very nice staff but hot and stuffy hot room lead to a very unpleasant stay.

I called and made a reservation. I was quoted $112 for the evening. The next morning my account was charged $300. I informed staff and was told my bill was $240 for the night. My final bill was $240 and staff did nothing to correct the error they had made when I initially made the reservation. The room was in no way worth $240 for the night.

As far as I know, they only have rooms with Queen size beds :-( but still recommend 100% but just keep your eyes and the restaurant charges as I was charged for a pretty good meal on a day that was never there. Besides that, great place!!! 5 min from the airport with free shuttle. In town, Taxi/Cab are a way better transportation choice! Do not use Uber or Lift, they are never around and are way more expensive! Have fun!

They don't even try or pretend to. They've got you where they want you in the summer months and in the winter I assume they go into hibernation with the bears. Almost $300 dollars (with all the taxes and fees) for a stifling room (no AC) with a broken fan. On the plus side we did get to check in early and they provided a shuttle to the airport which is down the block. If you have a choice go elsewhere but I have a feeling this is pretty typical during tourist season.

Super clean! My wife did a tub every night and it is not something she generally does at Hotel/motels that we stay at. The sheets and towels were super white and smelled nice! When we return to Juneau in the future, we most definitely will be staying there. If anyone reads this, please tell Marie and John hello from Joe and Kathleen.
