We have been to Rarotonga quite a few times, and it was our second holiday at GT's and this time, in the rainy season and boy did it rain.
GTs is a big place and we were lucky to have it to ourselves. Its situated on the back road and is really secluded so we were quite sheltered when the edge of a cyclone went through.
Our accomdation was nice, clean and thankfully had an airconditioning unit in our bedroom as it didn't cool down much at night.
Our hosts, Grant and Touzelle pretty much left us to ourselves with a book case full of books, games, TV, etc. and we spent many hours in the pool as it was often too rough for swimming in the lagoon.
Even though Grant and Touzelle left us to please ourselves, we spent many times having a quiet drink with our hosts at the end of the day and even a meal as they have become great friends.
Touzelle prepared us a great breakfasts, fresh smoothies, cereal, toast or a cooked breakfast if we wanted. The food was really tasty and fresh and we arranged with her as to what time it suited us to have breakfast so it was ready and waiting.
We thorougly enjoyed our time at GTs and would recommend it as a great place to stay.

Great spacious accommodation for me and the entire family of nine. Plenty of space for everyone and the facilities were excellent. The private pool was fantastic. I would recommend this lodge to any groups coming to Rarotonga.

Would come here again!!

Fantastic hosts, from the time of being picked up at the airport then arriving to a fantastic spread of food for breakfast (this lady can cook I will tell you) taste and presentation was great. One of the great thinks that you don’t get from a hotel is early check in, well it’s all sorted at GT’S. To also have a car included just makes the stay even better.

This is an absolutely beautiful place to stay. Touz and Grant are wonderful people and amazing hosts. The accommodations are excellent and the view is just awesome. You will feel so welcomed and relaxed with their hospitality. Touz is an amazing cook. I can't imagine staying anywhere else in Rarotonga after staying here. Having access to a car is an absolute bonus. Cannot wait to come and visit again real soon. Thanks again Touz and Grant for your awesome Island hospitality.

As a party of six friends with another 5 hangers on dotted about the island, we were very lucky to stay at GT's. Not only are the facilities fabulous but Touz and Grant are excellent hosts. They strike a great balance of being there for a chat and a joining for a drink and giving you your own space. Nothing's a problem for them.

The combination of Touz's and Grant's approach and welcome, the lovely accommodation and the space was perfect for our holiday with a large group of friends and family.

Thanks Touz, Grant and Quila

Had 3 nights here in July '14, awesome place, great food, good fun time, and the fishing was not bad either. A bit rough one day but I kept my wonderful lunch down, determined not to waste it.

Highly recommended, be going back.

We paid a lot to stay at the lodge and were quite disappointed. The curtains in the bedrooms are stained and had holes, this is the first thing you see when you arrive and gives such a bad first impression. The lounge was not very clean, gecko poo in the corners, the bedrooms weren’t great either, dust behind and under the bed.
The breakfast was good, smoothies, cereal, toast. On the second morning we had a menu offered with cooked options that cost extra. I would have thought if breakfast was included it wouldn’t be extra for a cooked option.
You have to realise that you are staying in part of the owners house, it doesn’t give you a lot of privacy and when having dinner will end up with Grant, one of the owners, smoking alongside you while you eat.
For the price there are better options.

Kia Orana Thanks for your review. Just a couple answers to your comments. The curtains are unfortunately damaged by the sun which is unavoidable. As this has so far only happened in one room of which the linings of the curtains face the outside and are in direct sunlight there is not a lot we can do about it. The lounge, rooms and bathrooms are all serviced daily. It is difficult to stop geckos, etc coming in especially if the windows are left open however we also make sure the buildings are commercially sprayed several times a year to help with the tropical insects, etc. The package you booked was for a continental breakfast which was in your confirmation email. The breakfast includes a selection of cereals, fresh fruit platter, fresh fruit smoothie, freshly baked croissants or similar, toast with condiments, freshly brewed coffee and/or tea. etc. The cooked breakfast options are offered as an extra option in this package for only $10 per breakfast. Other packages which are clearly stated on our website include the cooked options, it just depends on which one you book. We do try to give our guests as much privacy as possible however most of our guests like to interact with us asking about local attractions, restaurants, etc. Thank you

Thanks Touz and Grant (and Quila) for making our stay in Raro a memorable one. Relaxing round the breakfast table, pool area or lounge laughing and telling stories was one of our favorite parts of each day. All the rooms were awesome, spacious and very clean. Having the use of The Cube car was such a bonus and made it so easy to get around the Island. Touz and Grant gave us some good tips on what to do around the island from the best shops, restaurants, spas to the best tours. See you next time
