Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

Had a relaxing week in a paradise setting. Annie and Terry are lovely with Terry collecting us and returning us to airport. Had the beach house which is spacious comes with everything you may need if wishing to cook, plenty of towels. Decor is dated and furnishing looking bit old needs bit of sprucing up but we weren't bothered, the location was the prize here. No air con which we found hard as it was very humid but Annie said they are thinking of installing in the future. Waking up on the beach and being able to snorkel within a few seconds walk in the crystal waters was brill. No one on the beach cept chickens, few dogs and the odd person walking by. Cafe with a marine area behind at extra cost. There's a small shop and castaway bar is minutes walk. The island is small. bus is frequent to take you right round but sunset palms side is the best part for beaches. Alas, as I live in England I doubt I'll ever see this paradise isle again, don't you miss this one!

We visit our fav island of Raro every year and and our visits the last few years have been spent at Sunset Palms in Arorangi, we just love it here and have found our special piece of paradise to stay when on the island. What really helps is that we have become very close to the family that own the villas, we are welcomed like family every time we go back:) We stay in the one bedroom beach house which is absolute beachfront and perfect for our needs with a full kitchen and a huge deck for sitting out on under cover from the rain and sun with our own bbq to use when we don't feel like going out for tea. It is close to amenities with a lovely "dairy" down the road, cafe's close by and also restaurants within walking distance and also further along. You would not regret staying here whether it be in the beach house, beach bungalow or the garden bungalow. We love it !!!

Well appointed family run accommodation on the Sunset side of the island.
Immaculate property and accommodating hosts Annie and Terry run a great small private trio of beach houses that also include a studio and a forth attached beach house!
The grounds are immaculate and beach right at your doorstep.
Cafes and an option of bars and restaurants are a short walk away with options that offer variety for your stay over being coupled up
In a resort!
Self catering options also available with fully appointed kitchens and great beach facing decks with your own barby!

Sunset Palms was brilliant. Very clean and tidy. Good facilities. Hosts Annie and Terry were really helpful. The vista from the unit and the sea view was awesome. Nice and private. Easy walk to local shop and Castaway (and Wilson!). Would definitely return as everything was just so easy. Awesome :-)

This was our 8th visit to Rarotonga and this time we wanted to be right on the beachfront. After much research we found Sunset Palms located on the west side of the island. The property consists of 3 holiday homes; the beach house, the beach bungalow and the garden bungalow. We chose the beach bungalow as it had the best views of the lagoon, only a few paces from the water. The family that run the place are just wonderful, so welcoming and helpful. The bungalow was clean, had abundant supply of good quality linen and was equipped with everything we needed. It was exactly as it had been described. The décor was a little dated but this didn't bother us. The best cafe is just a short stroll away, a small shop also close by and a restaurant and bar also just a short walk, We hope to go back one day. Maybe next time the weather would be better, May seems to have a lot of rain.

A very clean and tidy property on the sunset beachside with Rogello a full time groundsman
The team of Annie, Terry and Rogello are very accommodating.
The unit has everything you need. If not just ask Annie and she will make it so.
