Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

A wonderful week for my adult daughter and I. We stayed in Villa 1 directly on the beach, and from our deck at times it felt like we were floating on the lagoon. Excellent attention to detail in the villas (which are modern, bright and clean) and the pool and grounds are beautifully maintained too. Sun on the decks until early afternoon, and the pool from late morning.

If, like me, you love cooking, the kitchen is well equipped and there is a mains gas Webber on the deck. The breakfasts were enough for us, and you can choose whether to have them delivered the night (afternoon) before if you have an early start. The staff were really pleasant and smiley, and Robyn sorted out all of our requirements without a hitch. We had a small maintenance issue and it was fixed the next day while we were in Aitutaki.

The only thing I would do differently next time is to hire a car to pick up from the airport instead of a transfer, even if I wouldn’t use a car everyday. Muri is very walkable, but we used taxis occasionally to go to other area restaurants. There was a dearth of veggies in the shops (or roadside) in Muri Beach so you probably need to car or bus to Avarua. And we hired a car anyway for our last couple of days ( which was a blessing on check-out when the rain put paid to our plans for the last day).

With out a doubt, this is one of the most amazing family holidays we have had....and there have been many. My family (2a + 21 and 16 yo daughters) stayed 10 days at this villa, and it exceeded the expectations we had after searching similar properties in Raro. Villas are amazing....very large bedrooms, comfy beds, and plenty of room in the downstairs area around the kitchen and living areas should you get stuck inside. Pool and grounds were immaculate, and the direct access to Muri beach is a bonus. Villas were quiet, staff that serviced the units daily were efficient and friendly. The daily supplied breakfast was varied and always amazingly fresh and filling. There are plenty of dining and coffee outlets within walking distance...especially the food market. Will be staying here again without doubt

Just spent 8 nights in villa 3.
The villa itself was very good. Lagoon view, spacious with 2 bedrooms and bathrooms. Very comfy beds. Well equipped kitchen, nice pool.
I will say though it wasn’t quiet. There are 2 businesses in the adjoining property that do attract some noise with motor bikes/cars etc. The singing from the lads from the lagoon tours was beautiful- they are very talented. However I would suggest requesting villa 4 if booking a lagoon villa.
Also there is no satellite tv available at this time so it’s a good idea to pre download some shows on a device for those days when you might be impacted by weather or having a rest day. Or like us take lots of books on your kindle.

Stunningly beautiful accommodation. Located on the Lagoon which is indeed crystal blue. The Villa's Private Infinity pool provided a beautiful outlook and relaxation. Enjoyed hearing the drums from the lagoon cruise boats preparing to leave for the reef.

Accommodation is lovely, cleaners do a great job keeping the property pristine. Expensive but worth it, lovely pool overlooking the beach, not far from Muri night market. Perfect holiday was spoilt by how much money was taken from my account for transport from the accommodation to the airport. I asked for a shuttle service , a car arrived and $126 taken when a private taxi would have cost $60. Manager has not replied to 2 emails. Lesson learnt.

Absolutely stunning serene property.

Stayed here for 3 nights in early Sep 2017. The property is made up of 2 luxury two story beach house typed structures separated by the shared private infinity pool overlooking the islands literal crystal blue lagoon. Pool deck is surrounded by upscale lounge chairs and is large enough to comfortably entertain 20-30 people.

Each of the structures is built duplex style (split into two side by side connecting villas with private entrances). The beach villas are situated on the front of the property lot closer to the beach however the layout was well designed so the garden villas which are further back behind the pool are diagonally placed from the front villas resulting in unparalleled ocean views from all units.

We stayed in a garden villa. Very modern architecture/interior design. Main floor has bathroom, laundry room with washer/dryer, full modern chefs kitchen with new appliances and island. Living room with tv and glass doors which lead to the private outdoor patio boasting a 6 chair outdoor dining table and yard with path to the pool area. Upstairs there are two equally sized rooms both with king beds, tvs, and their own full bathroom and large closets. Only difference between the rooms is the one facing the pool has ocean views and a balcony. Location location location! The property itself could not have been situated at a better spot. Direct beach access on Muri Beach which is arguably the best swimming beach on the island.

Multiple complimentary kayak/paddle board rentals were included for each night of our stay and were just steps away from our villa. We really enjoyed kayaking out to the private island across the lagoon, fealt like an episode of Lost on the other side.

Robyn, the property manager was very helpful in assisting with anything we needed and quick to advise on tips like where to purchase a local SIM card, tours, things to do etc.

Overall this was an amazing place as my first villa experience... on par with 5 star luxury hotel chains I've stayed at in the past. I would definitely recommend anyone who travels to the Cook Islands to stay here! Thank you Robyn and Crystal Blue Lagoons for making our stay one for the books!

I would have given the villas 5 stars if it weren't for the ant problem. I understand that the island has a lot of ants, but those ants should not have made their way into the villa. The windows and doors weren't sealed well enough, and the ants came in by the droves. Otherwise, the property was in a great location and very beautiful. We stayed for 5 nights.

This place is amazing! We had the Beachfeon Villa and it was a corner villa and right on the beach overlooking Muri Lagoon. The villa had two decks; on the ground floor, outside the living room with a table and chairs and two loungers. The other deck was on first floor outside one of the bedrooms with two cozy chairs and table.
There are stairs to take you down the beach and into the lagoon, from the ground floor deck. The stairs have a gate so it is private and no one would trespass.

Every morning we got continental style breakfast delivered to the villa which we devoured on the deck with entertainment from the koka lagoon cruise company. If the breakfast is not enough for you the villa has a fully equipped kitchen and supermarket nearby where you can buy eggs, cheese and other stuff.

The common pool (you share with other 3 villas) are cleaned every morning and so was the spa pool.

The apartment has twoo floors: on topfloor you find 2 ensuite bedrooms and downstairs the open plan living room kitchen and a smallutility room with toilet and washing machine.

The night market is less than 5 mins walk and the bus can take you to any big supermarkets or around the island.

Staff are so friendly and happy to assist you whenever they can. Communication with the manager was smooth and she provided us with all the info needed for a smooth check in.

We received upon check in vouchers to rent a kayak or SUP for an hour every day that you stay. And you get a starter WiFi voucher and if you run out you can buy a top up in one of the nearby supermarkets.
Around the area you can rent bikes, scooters and cars.

If we decide to return to Rarotonga we will absolutely return to Muri Beach area and to crystal blue lagoon villa!
