I stayed at the Amuri Guesthouse as a solo traveller in July 2013. I really didn't know what to expect, but from the moment Pam picked me up from the airport with a chilled coconut in hand, I knew I had made the right decision by choosing to stay here.

The property has everything you need for that 'home away from home' feel - a fully equipped and functional kitchen, large bathrooms, lounge with tv/dvd, patio and garden with recliners and chairs for lazing the day away. The beach is just across the road with safe areas for swimming and snorkelling, there are small shops and takeaways at the end of the driveway which provide all your essentials, and town is just a short stroll down the road.

The whole house is well maintained and cleaned to a high standard, and the beds are some of the comfiest I've slept in for a long time!

Everyone staying at the guesthouse while I was there were very open and friendly which made my stay even better, and Pam cannot do enough for you.

Thank you Pam for helping create a little slice of paradise.

Myself and my family rented the Amuri Guesthouse for Three weeks over Christmas and NY. The host Pamela was very helpful and kept the fridge full of fresh fruit! The property was clean had a fully equipped kitchen and bbq. Great location across from swimming beach and just behind nice fish and burger bar. We look forward to coming back sometime soon...

Amuri Guesthouse is definitely the best option for whoever wants to enjoy the best of Aitutaki and avoid the "resort atmosphere".
Pam is an excellent host, very friendly and helpful. The house is very clean and you will find everything you need to feel at home. Excellent value for money.
We had some pleasant evenings in the outside patio, especially cooking on the barbecue. The location is ideal, restaurants and shops are in walkable distance. With a scooter or a bicycle you will be able to explore all the beauties of this amazing island.
If we are lucky enough to come back to the Cook Islands we will definitely stay longer on Aitutaki (staying at Amuri Guesthouse)! Meitaki Pam!

I rented a room in the Amuri Guesthouse for five nights. The family makes you feel as a member of their family. There is a kittchen you can use, coffee and tea come for complementary. The rooms are big enough for two, they come with a fan, the bathrooms are clean. The beach is across over the street, one minute to walk. Shops, restaurants and internetcafe are acsessible within a few minutes walk.
The owners pick you up at the airport and explain on the way back things about Aitutaki. If you want they organize you some trip, as e.g.a lagoon tour or a dive day...whatever your wishes are. I was completly satisfied about my stay, I can recommend it to everybody who is interessted in a familiar stay at a nice place.

The Amuri Guesthouse was very welcoming - the owner was not there during my stay, so it was just me and a couple of her relatives in the house. Quiet location, but there was a handy takeaway right at the end of the driveway with delicious fishburgers and spring rolls. There was also a small store on the premises.

Room was clean and quiet, there's also a shared kitchen and a nice common room with satellite TV to distract you from the lack of internet :)

The best beaches are a little bit too far to walk, but there are some bicycle rental places close by so you can get out and explore on two wheels!

What a fantastic guesthouse! When we arrived, Pam who runs the place, met us at the airport with coconuts with a straw for us. After the pick-up she drove around the town for some sightseeing before we went to the guesthouse.
The rooms are big and clean. There's a living area and a great patio. The kitchen's clean, Pam takes great care of the place!
Pam organized a BBQ for us, we got to try local food. The atmosphere's great and Pam is very helpful and sweet!
If we would go back to Aitutaki we would without a doubt stay here again!!

I could not have asked for a better place to stay in Aitutaki or in Cook Islands in general.. Amuri Guest House was my "home" for 5 nights and it was everything I expected and more.. First of all it is very clean, well equipped and well maintained. Pam, the manager, lives in one of the six rooms herself and therefore cares about how it appears unlike a lot of other places where the manager just shows up a few minutes a day. The rooms are all decorated in island style and are of very good size. It is however not a resort but a self catering Guest House and therefore perfect for the budget conscious traveller.. Pam supplies drinking water, coffee and tea and you are free to use the chilies and lemons from the back garden.. It is centrally located on Aitutaki and Pam makes sure to show you around upon your arrival. I absolutely recommend Amuri Guest House both for couples and solo travellers and if you and your housemates are lucky Pam might organize a local barbecue for you.. Would stay there again in a heartbeat..

Once in awhile you just get lucky. That is how I felt when I walked in the Amuri Guesthouse on Aitutaki Island. I had no expectations when Pam picked me up at the airport with a cold coconut to drink. When I walked in it just felt right. Pam provides on site management and travel advice for visitors. It is more like a hostel, with shared bathrooms and a very well equipped kitchen. The rooms are nicely decorated and clean, there is a shared TV/media room. If you are on the island for kiting this is a great location, just a short scooter ride to the wharf where you meet the boats to Honeymoon Island. Pam is a great resource and makes everyone feel right a home. After two weeks it really felt like "a home away from home". You will not be disappointed if you stay at the Amuri Guesthouse.

Comfortable and clean. Host Pam was very friendly and helpful. Everything you need is provided and shops are close by. Would recommend if you are on a budget or if you don't want to stay at resort. The shop at the front does great burgers, one meal is enough to feed two.
