My wife and I just finished a ten day stay at Tulemar Resort. Our family joined us for a week staying in the fabulous Garden House. We stayed in one of the bungalows which was awesome with monkeys all around us and a resident sloth in our tree. Wow! Wow! Wow! The resort is

Our family had such an amazing time at Tulemar. The beautiful grounds are full of wildlife and the service is truly exceptional. Jean Carlo and David, (at the beach), are among the standouts of exemplary service. They went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and well

My wife and I stayed at Tulemar for the last 4 days of our vacation in Costa Rica. The first 8 days were on a guided tour so we were looking for a place to relax and wind down before headed home. Tulemar certainly checked all the boxes. In addition it is a great viewing area for

My husband and I walked to El Patio de Café Milagro for breakfast and dinner several times during our stay. That was our favorite place. There are a few other options within walking distance but this was our favorite in addition to the wonderful onsite options. We saw two and three toed sloths, we even saw a mom holding its baby right next to us while we were eating at the onsite restaurant. We saw different kinds of monkeys, scarlet macaws, iguanas, bats, raccoons, and even a humpback whale (a rare event, a dead whale washed ashore on our last night there).

You're absolutely right. There are two websites and that was confusing for us as well. To be honest I am still a little confused. They are both for the same property but there do seem to be some differences. I remember that they listed slightly different excursions as well. It may have to do with which specific type of accommodations that you are looking at within the grounds. We used tulemarresort. com and soon after we began inquiring about booking a villa, we were contacted via email by a concierge at the resort. She was very helpful and she clarified the website situation. It wasn't difficult, but I don't remember the details now. Its a great resort and I recommend contacting the resort directly to work through the ambiguity.

We were there with our 2 and 4 year-olds. It is VERY hilly. We used our stroller once, but then decided to use the shuttle as it runs frequently and is far more convenient. I'd definitely say it is a great place to stay with an infant. There is a lot of shade at their beach and the staff are were very friendly toward our young children. We drove, so I don't know about the airport shuttle. If you contact them I'm sure they'd let you know.

There used to be departure tax that you had to pay before check in at the airport but now it is included in most airline’s ticket. Last time I payed for it was in 2014, this year I went 3 tumes and it was aleays included in the air fare. Check your ticket but I belive BA includes it in the air fare. Have a great time!

I would guess it is open to the public, but distances within the resort grounds are quite large and on steep slopes. I'm not sure its worth going in to eat or drink, unless you are also curious to explore the grounds. (which are beautiful and full of animals and birds)
