This was our 2nd trip to Costa Rica (1st was last year) and the only place we returned returned to. The Bamboo Villa is a perfect villa in a perfect location. The 3 level villa is magnificent with panoramic, unobstructed view of the Pacific (Santorini-like sunsets each evening). There is an excellent restaurant on-site and several within walking distance, which is perfect for us since we did not have a car. They also provide free shuttle service to their beach, where you can order from the the on-site restaurant charge to room. And communication with Brian, our personal concierge, could not be better; every text I sent (several per day) was answered in a minute. Prior to arrival, we text Brian ask about laundry service as we are already in CR for a 1.5 weeks, and needed some refresh. Brian said just text him and he would send his assistant (also Brian) to the room to collect our laundry. We did that; Brian collected our laundry (almost everything we had packed) and returned within 4 hours; it was so nice to have everything clean to finish our journey in Costa Rica. When we return to Manuel Antonio, we will stay here again; would not consider staying anywhere else.

Today is our last day at Tulemar. We had an absolutely wonderful time.
The resort is beautiful with lush vegetation everywhere that is impeccably kept. There is amazing wildlife visible from your villa balcony to enjoy with your morning coffee.
One of the highlights for us was the Tulemar private beach. This is one of the best beaches we have ever been to. The colours are not as spectacular as Hawaii or Punta Cana, but the grey/black sand is so soft. The pitch of the beach into the water made it absolutely perfect for our 3 yo son to play in the waves and eventually learn to boogie board. The temperature of the water was perfect - just warm enough.
We stayed in the Mirador Escape, which is a one bedroom suite in the lower level of Casa Mirador. The unit has a kitchen with stove, fridge and microwave, but no dishwasher. Such was not a concern as any dishes we left even briefly were washed by the amazing maid, Milagra. She also did laundry that we left, which is really helpful when travelling with a toddler. Our unit was perfectly cleaned every day, helping to ensure we relaxed every day.
One of the best parts of Tulemar is the amazing VIP service that you get from your personal concierge. Ours, Freddy, consistently went above and beyond what would even be expected at a luxury resort. When we arrived, we realized the zipper on my suitcase was broken, meaning it couldn't be closed for the return trip. Freddy offered to drive me into Quepos (a nearby town) so I could buy a new one. He also helped us select two tours that our toddler absolutely loved (the catamaran tour by SeaQuest and the safari jeep tour). Freddy also helped us consistently get excellent dinner reservations in the wonderful restaurants in Manuel Antonio. He consistently checked in during the day to make sure we had everything we needed.
On the resort, the Tule Cafe is convenient and has incredible food in its own right. We enjoyed a number of meals there and they were top quality.

To say that our Christmas vacation at Tulemar was amazing is an understatement. This place is unlike any other we've visited, a very unique experience where luxury is nestled into a beautiful piece of untouched nature. I should also mention the phenomenal housekeeping staff. While we never even saw them, our room was always immaculate, stocked with fresh towels, linens and whatever else they thought we may need. They even laundered our dirty clothes the day before we left. The resort itself is nestled in the middle of Manuel Antonio, with many restaurants and shops within walking distance. If you are thinking about going to Tulemar - GO! It's a magical experience!!

This is our second trip to Tulemar and it did not disappoint! This time we are staying in Casa Mirador. We are having the best time at the beach! Our concierge is Freddy, the loveliest person who is just amazing. As soon as our reservations were made, Freddy reached out and the VIP treatment was in full effect! He made all our travel arrangements from the airport to the hotel where we stayed for one night in San Jose and then to Tulemar. It was seamless. Once at Tulemar he and Milagro, the house host, greeted us with refreshments and a treat of home made brownies that were delicious. Freddy even remembered that I wanted fresh coconut water and had them chilled for when we arrived. Freddy’s VIP treatment included a tour of the grounds and intro to local restaurants. He arranged our shuttles to and from the beach, our room service orders, reservations at restaurants and activities. The list of his generous hospitality goes on and on. Milagro was amazing at keeping our Casa clean and even did our laundry! Everything about our stay at Tulemar and our hosts is top notch! For an amazing time at Tulemar ask for Freddy and Milagro to be your team! We will certainly do that upon our return that will be soon! Pura Vida!

We have traveled all over the world and this was one of our top vacations to date. We were in the tree tops of the rain forest. Saw animals we have never seen, close up right on our balcony.
We had a private Chef Michael that used to work at the resort. I highly recommend getting a chef for a day or two. Well worth it and it allowed you to enjoy the night nature on your deck.
We had the resort VIP service which included our concierge Javier. This was an added surprise since we did not know what to expect. Javier took care of everything for us, reservations, recommendations for excursions and bookings, help with shuttles, additional items we needed for the house and other added surprises. Our adult children even commented how Javier was the best
There are a lot of walking, stairs and hills so I would not recommend for those that have difficulty walking. They do have shuttles to the beach which we took advantage of on a number of occasions. It’s about a 10 minute walk straight down and about a 15 minute walk back up. There are bathrooms on the beach and staff that can assist with towels, umbrellas, boogy boards and kayaks all included. They will also deliver food from the hotel restaurant. I do recommend packing to be down there for the day as it is a hike and you need to call for a shuttle when you go up.
There is a restaurant onsite. We did not eat there but had drinks and ordered food from there to the beach. There are plenty of restaurants across the resort that you can walk to. There is a grocery store within walking distance too. We did a lot of cooking in the house so made many trips. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook full meals. The grocery is less than a mile but don’t forget the hills. You might want a taxi if you plan on getting a lot of heavy things. It was $20 round trip.
$USD was accepted ever. We never did any exchange.
Highly recommend, we will be going back again!!!

My husband and I have had the pleasure of staying in Casa de Frutas on three previous occasions. This time we shared that experience with two other couples.
The two private suites on the lower floor and the master suite on the upper floor were ideal for three couples. The remainder of the upper floor is the common living, dining and kitchen space, all with absolutely stunning ocean views.
Thanks to the open-air design of Casa de Frutas, we were immersed in the beauty of the surrounding rainforest and the abundance of wildlife.
Upon our arrival, we were greeted by our VIP Concierge, Chris, and the household staff, Oscar, Vicky, and Tony. For the next seven days they could not have done more to meet and exceed our every expectation.
Chris is the lead concierge for Tulemar’s (world class) VIP Concierge service. Chris arranged private transportation to-and-from San Jose, booked our excursions as well as a private chef for one evening. If we needed to make an adjustment to our plans, it was handled with a text message or phone call to Chris.
Nearly every day Chris would stop by the house with a tray of freshly baked brownies, cookies or a beautiful assortment of fresh fruit, and of course he always asked if there was anything he could do for us.
The Balinese pavilion with a huge daybed, infinity pool, lounge chairs and outdoor shower became our private refuge in the rainforest.
Our experience with the private chef(s) has always been outstanding. The VIP Concierge service thoroughly vets the chefs to insure a wonderful experience. Chef Luis and Sou chef Giovani prepared an authentic Costa Rican meal that featured mahi-mahi as well as a yellow tail tuna sushi appetizer.
The private beach is always a special place. Under the watchful eye of David, the resort provides lounge chairs, umbrellas, kayaks, boogie boards and towels as well a transportation to-and-from our accommodations. If we needed something from the restaurant delivered to the beach, David made it happen.
With the awesome selection of properties and VIP Concierge services, it’s not surprising the Tulemar Resort is consistently ranked among the best hotel resorts worldwide.

We stayed at Casa de Frutas, a 3 bedroom house in the Tulemar Resort area of Quepos, Costa Rica. The house was fabulous and couldn’t have been better. Even better was our concierge, Chris, and his staff. They saw to our every need. Chris made our airport transport reservations, dinner reservations, brought us treats each day. The house staff did any dirty laundry we had each day, kept the house spotless along with the pool. Tulemar Resort will send a shuttle within minutes to take you anywhere you want to go within the resort—the beach, the convenience store, the on-site cafe. I would highly recommend Chris and any property within Tulemar where he is the concierge.

My wife and I traveled from Colorado USA and stayed in Mirador Escape for a week. Freddy was our VIP concierge, and his services are included in the agreement. We booked directly with the Tulemar website.
Every part of our trip was perfect. We gave Freddy our list of things we wanted to do via WhatsApp well before the trip, and he set up all of our excursions and sent us our itinerary. He also sent us photos of Costa Rican wildlife which got us even more excited for our trip.
We traveled on Saturday, had a beach day on Monday , then four days of excursions (whitewater rafting, zipline, waterfall tour, Manuel Antonio tour). Friday was another relaxing beach day, and we traveled home on Saturday. Freddy set up everything with the best companies, best guides, and so forth. He also made sure we had transportation to and from the excursions. He called or stopped by every morning to make sure we were well taken care of and usually greeted us with a happy song. He gave us recommendations for excellent local restaurants. Our unit had a great view looking out over the jungle and the ocean with nightly sunsets. Milagro took care of our room every day. She was so nice. She took care of laundering and ironing, making ice, and everything else we could have wanted. The coffee they provide in the room is out of this world.
Tulemar is an amazing resort with about 30 separate private freestanding units of all sizes. You are staying in the jungle, but just up the hill from your own private beach. One quick call or text and the Tulemar shuttles, or Freddy in his VIP golf cart, will pick you up and take you to the beach, pool, onsite cafe, etc.. David manages the beach and is very attentive with chairs, towels, umbrellas, kayaks, etc.. Sebastian is at the beach to bring us food or drinks.
The cost and the tips we gave all of the great staff were well worth it. We will be back again for sure! Pura Vida!

My family and I are super happy and satisfied with the days spent in Tulemar. We stayed at Bungalo 118 with a wonderful sea view. Concierge Bryan gave us an exceptional VIP reception, we were given a tour of the beautiful facilities full of nature and animals in his habitation. Upon arriving at our bungalow we found everything spotless with the surprise of a divine breakfast. We were taken and brought wherever we needed to go, we had a wonderful kayaking experience on a beautiful beach perfect for diving and snorkeling. Each person we met treated us too well, would certainly return not only for its wonderful facilities but for its excellent service to guests. We would like to thank Concier Bryan and Fabio for the excellent service.
