W Costa Rica Resort was simply amazing! They made sure everything was clean especially due to covid times. The staff became friends to us and the food was really good! Pool was always clean, perfect temperature. Service was fast and always there! The grounds were well landscaped. Best time to go is in January because. If you would like to do some excursions, it is totally safe! We highly recommend WCOSTARICATOURS.COM . They will set up your tours completely for you. Lunch included and the tour guys take photos for you on your own phone! Great memories. W Costa Rica Tourd will help save you some money for the best experience. He shows you photos in his phone to give us ideas on where we can go. Horse back riding, Waterfalls, hot springs, hiking, ATV, Jet-ski tour, river tour to feed the monkeys/Crocodiles, etc! This new, modern resort is quite the work of contemporary art. We really enjoyed how beautifully the modern edges mixed with the surrounding jungle-like atmosphere and the beach. We stayed in a Cool Corner Suite over New Years. Our room was located in the building closest to the lobby which was very convenient. The suite itself was awesome. Fantastic art, a large balcony with a plunge pool. You could climb from the plunge pool right into the two person shower through the window. The amenities were great and the furnishings and decor were bright and modern. We ordered room service several times and just chilled in the room because it was so nice. Because it was New Year, we splurged on the dinner party which was held outdoors by the pool. The food was good and the drinks flowed. They had several dining/drink packages but none of the servers seemed to know the difference with how complicated the options were so we basically ate and drank whatever we wanted. Hey, pura vida! The main building’s pool area was nice and modern, but the much better lounge experience is the pool area by Playa Conchal beach. It’s a fairly short walk from the main area to the beach, but there were plenty of golf carts which took you down there. The spa is about halfway. The beach area has a spectacular, long infinity pool and it’s own dining area with cabanas all around. It was so nice to just swim and relax there with a DJ spinning chill electronic music. The W’s piece of Playa Conchal is really fun. The surfbreak (at least when we were there) was really wild and rough so grab ahold of your little ones and have fun. You can rent jetskis as well. It’s a just a really beautiful sandy beach with relatively warm water where you can spend all day at. After an adventurous first half of our CR trip in Arenal, we were ready to just relax, and the W was just the ticket. We pretty much just cancelled the rest of our touring plans and just ENJOYED the tranquility and beauty at this resort. It was the ultimate vacation recharge. …

We had a great stay at the W Costa Rica Resort. I cannot say enough about how helpful and friendly the staff member were.We would definitely stay here again if we have the chance. One of the highlights of the trip was the excursion that we did with W Costa Rica Tours you can find they on their website wcostaricatours.com They coordinated a great ATV Tour, beautiful sunset catamaran cruise and amazing MegaCombo nearby Rincón de Vieja Volcano. We would for sure be happy to come back and stay at the W Costa Rica Resort at Concha.

We really wanted to love this hotel. It is a W property afterall. But so many things fell short. Here is the good. The rooms are beautiful and modern. Rainfall shower and very comfortable beds make for a pleasant stay. The pool is gorgeous and the access to the beautiful beach is amazing. The staff are also very nice for the most part. The bad The food at the beachside pool is basically just junk food. Very low quality with no healthy options. The main restaurant food is just ok, which is a surprise given the calibre of the hotel. The front desk staff are also not overly helpful which is odd. The really bad We recieved an additional charge of over $200 a couple of days after checkout. No explanation, just an additional charge on the card. I reached out to Marriott and it took a full 12 days for the hotel to get back to me. When they did finally reach out it was to present me with a bill for minibar items that we did not take. I responded that there must have been a mistake and now here we are an additional 4 days later and no response. Not even a courteous "we will look into this for you". It's not uncommon to have mistaken charges are hotels. However, we have never had to wait for over 2 weeks for resolution. We are status members with Marriott and it is a luxury hotel. This should be something they resolve in a more timely manner. Customer service is the top reason we pay to visit luxury resorts. Without this it is just basically a bed for the night. We expected better from the W and as such would not recommend. …
