So i just went there for a visit, and not to stay. They have a free entree into the hotel. It has a lovely beach with nice lovely sand. If you want to use the pool or the kayak, the price is $5 for both, which is not bad, if you are not staying there and what to take a dip in the pool or use the kayaks.
We played volleyball at the beach, which was great, had more young kids and adults join the game.
They have jetski available at the beach, Sea facing restaurant and a nice beach.
Also, I didnt use the hotel facilities so i wont be able to rate that in my review, except that i used the volleyball ground and the ball itself.

I had gone through a lot of reviews about this property before actually booking for our girls night out. After going through the reviews I did not had much expectation yet I just went to enjoy with my ladies. Actually I was quite surprised and happy with the service provided. Customer service was quite good but just be mindful you are on Fiji time. Expect few delays but you will not be disappointed. Free kayaks are available but there are no life guards on duty hence you swim at your own risk in the open sea. The setting of the property is best out of all. If you are looking for a Fijian life style away from the busy city then this is just for you. We had a villa to ourself which came with two bathrooms - one inside with a bath tub and the outside opened into an open shower. You will get the perfect fijian bure feel in here.

The Coral Coast Resort in Pacific Harbour is set in a well-kept tropical garden on the beach.
The property is very nice and has villas and burreas that overlook the garden or are on the beach.
There is a restructuring of the reception and some common areas and the garden view burree, this has led to some difficulties and example the lack of hot water in the shower which becomes a problem.
The rooms are nice and cozy.
The staff is very friendly and do their best to make your stay as good as possible.
Unfortunately we experienced some hiccups of no small importance especially with the taxis they booked for pick ups to and from the airport; on our arrival after about 30 hours of travel there was no taxi to pick us up in Nadi to take us to the Resort (about 2 hours and a half by car) so after a first moment of s offered due also to fatigue we industrialized and with the help of the local population we found a taxi that took us to the Resort and fixed everything. Also on departure we had a pickup that would take us 8n airport to Suva booked at 4am and we asked and insisted on the reception because they assured us of the service and in the morning the taxi was not there with all our worry of missing an internal flight for transfer to another island. Even here in a hurry they have industrialized calling a taxi service at the last minute that has made every effort not to miss our flight.
I would recommend changing the taxi company they normally use!!
We had a half board accommodation because the Resort is a bit isolated and to reach outside restaurants you need a means of transport, but the restaurant in the Resort does not have much choice on the menu, however there is it you do it and the staff is still ready to meet requests.
All in all the experience is very positive both for the location and for the availability and kindness of all the staff, they are wonderful.
We stayed there to dive with sharks at the Colosseum on the coral coast and see a bit of that part of the island of Vati lavu that absolutely deserves, but in my opinion 3 days in that part of the island is more than enough.

The white entrance sign board needs replacing as you can no longer see the name of the resort on it other than the small Bure with the sign hanging on it. Not really visible with palm trees nearby and when it’s raining heavily.

Pros: food and beverage staff were lovely and friendly. Lunch and dinner meals were tasty even though the menu was the same.

Cons: we had to call reception to enquire why our bags weren’t delivered to the room yet, receptionist replied they were waiting for the rain to stop, we had a 2 year old boy waiting on his milk and diapers because they didn’t think to have an umbrella or tarpaulin cover our bags, waiting for the rain to stop in Suva can take ages. Our room key didn’t work at first, a housekeeping attendant had to get a replacement for us. She also brought our towels in the rain with our new room key, so of course our towels were damp.
The room - sliding door tracks were dirty, the wooden sliding door in the bedroom was hanging off the track, cobwebs, spiders and ants all over the rooms, windows not cleaned, paint peeling, bathroom ceiling had a hole and was leaking, toilet seat loose, toilet holder replaced with a wooden stick with a black tape around it, dirt and dust underneath the couch/sofa. Front door lock/handle needs replacing.
Breakfast was average, however the pancakes served was too sweet.
The pool - paint peeling, rough and scratchy to stand on, too much chlorine. Remove the pot plant in the shallow part of the pool and have it fixed properly.

It was our first time staying at Uprising and unfortunately it was disappointing. We left straight after breakfast and didn’t want to continue staying any longer.

There is a lot of work to be done. Regardless of flash sales, every guest should enjoy their stay in a room that is clean and not worry about maintenance issues that might hurt themselves or family during their stay. Safety and basic room hygiene should be a priority!

The beach bures were in a lovely setting with a well maintained garden. The outdoor shower was very, very nice. The beach was great for long walks and it wasn't too far to get to the shopping/restaurant centre (10 minute walk). The staff were helpful and mostly very friendly. The buffet breakfast had a lot of variety and the food we ordered for lunch was very good (pulled pork sandwich and guacamole/chips). The gnocchi wasn't the best, would not order that again.

The pool water looked unclean and cloudy, but it did improve by the last day we were there. The bed was soft but comfortable, but the pillows and day beds were smelly. Both the kitchenette and bathroom sinks did not drain well. The sheets and blankets were cleaned, but stained (so a bit off putting).

Overall, we would stay here again as it was a good bargain and a good getaway.

This place is on a great stretch of beach. And its Fiji so the staff and people are really nice.

But the facility is clearly run down, understaffed and undermanaged. The rooms have gaps and holes and are missing parts all over. The bathroom sink was all mouldy. The toilet seat fell off. It just became a funny game waiting for the next thing to break.

Restaurant is even worse. There were not many people there but getting our dinner took nearly an hour of waiting. My kids pizza came with no sauce on a cold bready undercooked crust. How to you spend an hour on a pizza and forget the sauce? I ordered Chicken Curry, which is usually pretty safe in Fiji and it came full of pineapple in the sauce. Its like the kitchen just randomly threw stuff together based on whatever was lying around on the shelves. Really really strange.

So OK for a day at the beach I guess, but not recommended or sleeping or eating till they fix the rooms and hire an actual chef.

Great stay at the Uprising Resort in Pacific Harbor. Very quiet with excellent customer service. Was able to get in the room early, which was a big plus after long flights. Wonderful staff! Great supply of shampoos although had to request additional towels as they seemed short in supply. Facilities needs a little upgrade, but all in all a pleasant stay. Although there is a bus near by, one would almost need to rent a car, although we used the wonderful Nafeez to help us get around. .We had prearranged pickup through our Padi vacation package. He had picked us up at Nadi Airport. Did a 2 day tour with him. For basic marketplace shopping a bus would be more then adequate to get to Suva, the biggest town near Pacific Harbor. Save your money for your more detailed tour with Nafeez heading towards Nadi and surrounding area tourist stops. Love, love, love the shark dives! Super worth it. Diving and lodging did not break the bank. Great trip!

Very disappointed, the resort is dilapidated the pool is empty and under construction but nothing happens, the volleyball court not passable, the beach bar!!! Expensive meals and frankly not very sought after. The room leaves at will no outdoor furniture and in apart from beds not a single chair. We have thousand legs, wasps and even a cockroach that jumped on my daughter berkkkk. The chairs at the beach that a dozen and the dirty beach of bottles, etc... you can't swim the current does not make you want. We have the right to just one linen either we use it for the beach or perish the shower but they give us no other!!!
I don't recommend this resort is going to have to work out so something good can happen.

Stayed a few nights at Uprising while in the area for a shark dive. Our cabin was very spacious, with separate living and kitchen areas, a large master bath with tub, porch, and outdoor shower. Pool and beachfront was very comfortable, just be forewarned that if a cruise is coming to port, this area will be crowded and space is not saved for resort guests. The onsite restaurant was fine but hours end early, so if you are a night owl you should plan accordingly. It was easy to arrange transport and get local information from the front desk staff.

Stayed here for a week with a group of friends for a diving holiday, and probably because it’s off season and the resort was not full we obtained a free and very welcome upgrade to the oceanfront villa’s (many thanks ). They are extremely comfortable and can easily accommodate 3/4 people with large bathroom with a tub/ shower and also an outdoor shower, mini kitchen with complimentary tea and coffee making facilities and a small refrigerator. Had plenty of hot water and housekeeping was regular and precise.
The restaurant serves food only during certain hours, I’m vegan but never went hungry because there was always something adequate on the menu, the included breakfast was abundant and a great start to our day of diving. I particularly loved the mongooses that ran around the garden, they were great fun to watch and also the array of birds and lush vegetation, Uprising Resort will definitely come to mind whenever I think of paradise.
