Pros: great facilities and landscaping, nanny club. Cons: every single thing. Food: extremely limited options. Too remote to get outside food. Get ready for french fries and burgers. Also taste-wise 4 out of 10. Services: we did “island-hopping” which included sand bar covered with garbage and private island as well covered with garbage plus back up toilet with no toilet paper. We were served picnic on private island and we asked the staff what they are having for lunch. They said they will have our leftovers at which point we just gave them the food. The price of “island hopping” a whooping $2,900 fijian dollars( around $1,500 us) with average hourly rate per labor $6 fijian dollars. It is truly outrages that for full day(9am-5pm) of outing staff is not provided with lunch. Also the hotel arrange airport transfer for us( around $250 US one way). On a way back our driver (who works for Tenaka company ) was falling asleep!!!! As truth came he slept in a car to save company money and not drive back home 2,5 hours one way and then back in a morning. We were LUCKY to get to the airport ALiVE!!! The careless sleep-deprived driver’s aggressive drive made our daughter violently sick. Driver sat back while my husband cleaned the car!!!! So to sum up we regretted every penny spend at Nanuku. PS the driver drove over a pig on a road and kept going!!!!

Bula Vinaka Jet90660, Thank you for sharing your feedback about your recent stay at Nanuku Resort Fiji. We sincerely apologize for the numerous issues you encountered during your time with us. Regarding the food options, we are sorry that our current offerings may not have met your expectations, whilst we have a daily changing menu for lunch and dinner, we are also actively working on expanding our offerings to provide more diverse and satisfying choices for our guests. We are deeply disappointed to hear about the condition of the island and the sandbank visited during the "island-hopping" excursion and the lack of basic amenities such as toilet paper. This has been shared with our team for improvement moving forward. While the boat used for this excursion was operated by a contractor due to our previous trips being fully booked, we take full responsibility for the experience and are addressing this matter with the contractor to ensure such issues are avoided in the future. For the benefit of our readers, we do provide meals, soft drinks and water for our team members. We are concerned and sorry about the behavior of your driver. Such actions, including falling asleep at the wheel and driving aggressively, are completely unacceptable and do not reflect the standards we uphold at Nanuku. We have taken immediate action to address this issue with the transportation provider to ensure the safety and well-being of our guests in the future. We value your feedback tremendously as it helps us improve and ensure a better experience for future guests. We would appreciate the opportunity to discuss your concerns further and see how we can make amends. Please feel free to reach out to me directly so we can address your concerns personally. Hotel's Favourite
The Nanuku resort is amazing. Our stay was magical and so relaxing. The staff were very attentive and took the time to learn our names and always greeted us personally. Everything was a simple request away and many requests were done before we even asked. We were waited on very attentively without it being intrusive. Our room went right out onto the beach past our own infinity pool. It was immaculate and so comfortable. The entire resort was in immaculate. Everything was in excellent condition and to a very high standard. The resort was very peaceful, you were engulfed by the sounds of waves and nature. The beach was amazing to swim in with fish up to the waters edge. The pools were relaxing and sunny. I would recommend Nanuku to anyone who asks and many that haven't. We will definitely be returning.

Here currently and have to say - never met nicer people in my whole life. I didn't think my kids would care about nanny service 12 and 14 yo, but they loved the whole thing so much and were off with their nanny, fishing, cooking fish, making coconut toffee, and more! Really incredible and so grateful.

We had a wonderful time at Nanuku to celebrate our 24th anniversary. Truly a 5-star resort. They paid attention to every single detail we asked for. All the staff were accommodating welcoming, and served us with a smile and love. The food was exceptional. We felt at home. They knew us, remembered our table and food preferences, always greeted us warmly and enthusiastically, always asked about our needs, etc. A few staff, Tomasi, Kelly, Jennifer, Aseri, Josh, Vitinia, Va, Bosoka, Epeli, Jeff, Wendy, Merie, Vereti, and Elizabeth made some memorable moments for our stay. We have got lots of memories from the trip. We have traveled to many countries, but so far, this was the best vacation we had ever had. It is genuinely a fantastic Fijian vacation destination with lovely people. We will be back.

Nanuku Fiji is a special experience that is unlike other luxury hotels around the world. From the moment you step foot onto the property, the resort staff takes care of you like family, remembering your names, allergies, and preferences. The friendliness is genuine and not faked. They are happy to show you Fiji from their perspective and help their guests enjoy every aspect of the holiday. 1 Bedroom Pool Villa We chose to upgrade from our Nanuku Suite to a 1 Bedroom Pool Villa. We traveled with 2 boys and having our own pool and enclosed yard was wonderful when we wanted to rest in the villa. We loved that there were 2 outdoor showers, a queen-sized sun bed, and a lovely porch swing. Housekeeping filled our fridge daily with non-acholic drinks. The resort provided 2 beds in the living area for my kids and the living area can be completely closed off by a door for privacy. Kids Club This is the wow factor of this resort for any families traveling with kids. The resort assigns a buddy to each kid 11 and under. Older siblings can share the buddy as well. This kids club is what your kids want to make of it, and it isn't about every kid doing the same thing. We went during a week where the kids ranged from 9 to 16 so the activities skewed toward the older kids. One day our buddies took the kids fishing and then helped them grill the fish for lunch. They have also gone crab and frog hunting. They ride their bikes around the resort and play volleyball when there is a big enough crowd. We absolutely adored our two buddies Epeli and Orisi. They both showed so much care and kindness to our kids. Our kids have never liked the idea of a kids club but they really liked to hang out with Epeli and Orisi. Our buddies taught the kids Fijian culture and on several nights asked the kids to join them in the fire lighting ceremony. On nights we wanted to have dinner alone, they can order dinner and hang out with their buddies. When guests at Nanuku book activities like snorkeling trips, the buddies came along to make it easier on the parents. Epeli came along on our snorkeling excursion and took care of my son the entire time. He felt safe the entire time knowing his buddy was right next to him. Salote runs a great program at the Kids Club and I know that parents can truly relax while their kids have a unique experience. Food You can eat at the restaurant or pay a fee and have room service in the villa. We also ate at the pool instead of in the restaurant during lunch. It's the same menu, but we chose to have it either in the chaise or at the tables oceanfront. We ate at the restaurant probably 90% of the time and there was enough variation that it didn't feel like we ever ate the same thing. Lunch and dinner are very different as well. Breakfast was my favorite meal every day eating fresh fruits and crab omelet! Each night there are probaby 3-4 appetizers and 3-4 mains so if you're a bit picky, you may not find something you want. I've seen a grandma order off the kids menu once and that's ok too. Va is the restaurant manager and she always welcomes us with the biggest smile. The restaurant staff are so fun and kind as well. We had the privilege of getting to know Carolina, Nanda, Dimo, Ma, and Wendy over the course of our stay. Rusi the bartender is always fun and each night he names a virgin drink after a kid at the resort. Activities There are many complimentary activities each day provided by the resort. You do need to sign up in advance just so the resort can prepare. We took part in a snorkeling trip right off the beach and kayaking through the mangroves. We frequented the cultural center quite often and made arts and crafts with Amena and Marika. We made hats out of leaves, coconut bowls, and headbands. Amena and Marika also took us on a herbal tour to show us medicinal uses of various flora and fauna around the resort. We had to use the dilo root for sunburns and it worked quite well. We never felt like we needed to leave the resort because there were enough to do. Spa Abbo at the spa is very talented and I highly recommend any of his massages. He sometimes would put a chair out next to the pool. When he does, sign up at the pool for one of his shorter massages. Those are so much fun and great value as well. Staff The people at this resort are what makes it so special. Their teamwork and hard work created the vacation that we needed. Leon at the front desk was so proactive in getting our transportation on a stormy day. She moved up our airport transfer after seeing several bridges flood. Meri, the magician, as we call her, was very proactive in getting us what we needed before we even began our stay. She was very helpful in answering all of our questions and providing all the small touches for our anniversary that we so appreciate. Tomasi, the general manager, is always around to meet the guests and help out. Vinaka for a wonderful stay! We will miss all of you!

Bula Vinaka pierremE25360P, We are deeply sorry to learn that various issues during your stay resulted in an unsatisfactory experience at Nanuku. We really appreciate your feedback, though, of course, we are disappointed that we couldn't make your stay an enjoyable one. Our Nanuku suites, Residences and Club house are going through a soft refurb this year and we are so excited about it. Unfortunately during your stay, the weather was unfavorable so as a matter of Safety, our watersports team had to cancel all motorized activities. With that being said, we still had a wide variety of activities available like the Long Boat Waterfall trips, Taunovo River Kayak, Burelotu Hike, Food Safari, Warrior cooking to name a few. We also appreciate your comment on the choice of selection in our restaurants. We have a daily changing menu for breakfast, lunch and dinner and our culinary team, based on what is available, are very flexible in preparing anything that is not on the menu. We apologize if this was not shared with you. Thank you and we certainly hope to welcome you back in the not too distant future.
