The Pearl Resort & Spa garners praise for its clean, modern rooms offering comfortable beds and picturesque views, housed within an inviting atmosphere highlighted by Indonesian-inspired decor. While the resort's prime location and amenities, including a dive shop and entertainment options, are popular with guests, some have called out issues with room readiness and housekeeping responsiveness. Although the staff receives commendation for their friendliness, service inconsistencies occasionally mar the experience. Additionally, guests have noted value concerns, particularly regarding billing discrepancies.

On a recent trip to Fiji we stayed in 3 different resorts so I was able to get a bit of a feel for pricing and service levels in Fiji. The first thing I have to say is food and beverage in Fiji resorts is expensive. If you are expecting a cheap holiday with cocktails around the pool you will be disappointed. Any of the better-known branded resorts are expensive so look for package deals for food and beverage.
I was booked into the Pearl by someone else so I had not read the reviews on Trip Advisor. If I had read them before the booking I probably would not have stayed at The Pearl as there are a lot of negative reviews. My experience was the opposite and we had a positive experience.
We stayed in the old section of the hotel and upgraded to a penthouse ($50 AUD a night) and I think that is the trick. The room was spacious and had old school charm to it and wonderful views. Sure, it is a bit tired and in its defense we had less problems in the room then another resort I stayed at that was around 2 years old.
Staff were hospitable and efficient and once you get into the swing of Fiji Time everything was great.
There were quite a few negative reviews about the cleanliness of the area and especially the pool. We found the resort to be very clean and the pool was in fantastic condition and well maintained.
The bars and restaurants were fine, what you would expect in a good resort.
I would recommend staying at The Pearl if you are lucky enough to be in that area in Fiji.

Rooms need a major upgrade, we checked in at 6 and went to have dinner straught after. No complaints with that. Food was good, drinks were a bit expensive, during happy hour they are 50% off which was a good deal. When we went back to the room, lights kept on going off every 30 mins, and to reactivate we had to open the door. I went down to reception and the lovely lady changed our room. However the new room smelt damp and was pretty run down. Bedside lamp was rusty and pillows were lumpy (must have been washed in the washing machine) urgently needs to be replaced given the rate they are charging. Also no bottled water in the rooms.
We were not told that during covide they do room service every 2 days, so I was not impressed when I came back to my room after 3pm to find out it wasn't cleaned. I stayed at the sofitel a week before and paid just 50 dollars more and the room was being serviced everyday. We called and complained to reception and they had someone sent to clean the place up which was appreciated.
The beach and the adult only pool was really good. The do need to get rid of the old building though, looks quite spooky something out of a horror movie.
Staff were really good and helpful. Sometimes slow but I do understand they were short staffed.
Entertainment was pretty good, I was quite annoyed after the whole room service issue and the entertainment made my night and I finished the weekend on a good note.
Please upgrade your furnishings in the rooms if you want to charge $500 per night online.

The standard building is currently undergoing renovations and refurbishment, sorry it is currently a sore sight, it should be completed in a few months time. I recently stayed at the resort for two nights and the view is just breathtaking. Stayed at the ocean view room and every time I woke up within those two days, The morning view is just fantastic, loved it. Ordered some room service (club sandwich comes with fries) and it arrived on time, however, would prefer fries to come out fresh, otherwise, it was good. The breakfast view every morning was very exciting to watch. Kayaking was really fun and it's a must-do. I'd love to return one day to this beautifully crafted resort when things are going back to normal.

I have been to pearl resort a number of times on day trips. 2 weeks ago I booked for a stay as we were attending a function near by.
Reservation:
I had called in 1 week earlier to book, they had a special going on and I sepcifically asked for the new wing and I have had multiple reviews that the old wing in not in a good state. I got a booking for $175 with breakfast and was happy as all resorts are giving a good rates due to no tourists ( due to COVID ).

When I went to check -in first of all no staff were name tags so cant mention who I spoke to. The guy who served me was not customer friendly at all. ( I suspect they do this to the locals) . he said my booking is for the old wing. I definelty didnt want the old wing and created a bit of fuss as i had sepcifically asked for new wing. They had no recod of my conversation on their system.

I ended up paying $199 so I can get a adjoin room . They told me breakfast is $15 for adult, Under 12 is half price and under 5 is free.
I have a 9 year old and a 3 year old.

we went to our room, the walkways and the corridors were really dirty, the rooms were neatly setup but the hand basin was dirty. the floors felt dusty as well. The dryer was available with no correct connection. The towels were stained and felt dirty.

The food selection for dinner was not impressive at all, the Fish of day was dry like it was grilled for 2 or 3 times .

Next day we were charged for 2 adult breakfast, the explantion provided was that same size was served, my 3 year was also serveed the same but his was Free . The staff either dont know what they doing or what deals they are offered.

The pool was dirty , the sitting area was dirty right in the morning. So its clear its not cleaned overnight. There were no beach towels available

All in all the stay at pearl was not worth the money spent.

We booked for a night with my family on the Saturday night 1. The usual greetings wasn’t the usual starting from the Porters.
2. we were looking forward for a night movie in our rooms only to be told by the attending staff that their servers have not been working since‘ lockdown ‘.
3. When asked for the Internet Code -same response
Most of the local guests we spoke to echoed the same reasons for coming to the Pearl-get a weekend away but not far from Suva and enjoy the lowered rates and also help contribute to the local staff manning the Resort.
All being sad we thankful to the staff for reminding us of one luggage left behind.
Please Management get the service corrected as your staff strive so hard for explanations!

Took the 1 week luxury package at Pearl Resort in Nadi, only to find anything but a pearl of a resort. Instead, we found a run down neglected resort that were all too happy to over charge for everything and deliver little in way of activities and entertainment. Whist we weren’t expecting too much after Fiji has been hit by Covid, we did however expect at the very least basic room service which we needed to ask for towels, soaps etc.. and to keep a clean resort hygienic resort. My partner and i both arrived home with traveller bug as our souvenir. Fiji is an amazing friendly place with perfect weather, shame the resort couldn’t care less about there guests after spending a good deal on their package.

I’m here for a 3-day conference and will probably check out early. It’s clean. It’s lovely. The setting is gorgeous. But… The room is ice cold and the temperature can only be lowered by having maintenance come to the room to throw the breaker. WiFi is open-access and is spotty in my guest room and in the conference room. When I can access WiFi, I can only do so on my phone; somehow the security credentials of the WiFi make my computer reject all the websites I need to use. And to get the WiFi to work on my phone, the technician instructed me to lower the security settings in my phone. Wow. Since I couldn’t do any work or stream any entertainment, I turned on the TV to just vedge out, but there’s only 2 news channels and a couple of sports channels to watch.

I ordered dinner from room service 1.5 hours ago and it still hasn’t come. Last night the same thing happened and I called to check, and they said it’s on the way. It came 20 minutes later. Maybe they’re not writing down orders. After a long day at work, I don’t want to have dinner at a restaurant with loud live music. Oh well. No dinner. Maybe I’ll just sit in the balcony. It’s beautiful there.

We arrived at the Pearl resort early one morning after an overnight flight and we were welcomed with a lovely warm greeting by the staff. This was a great start to what we hoped would be a relaxing 6 day break. Ana on the front desk was very friendly and efficient in organising our rooms to be ready as soon as possible before normal check in time. The people are such a feature of this resort with the staff always greeting you with a smile and a ‘bula’! without exception.
We had a chance to get to know Marcie the waitress, Joe the apprentice activity leader and Taaby one of the activity organisers, Una the housekeeper and Sammi the porter who doubles as the breakfast singer.
I had read reviews of the Pearl and was slightly dismayed at the negativity. We enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere and dedication by the staff to ensure our time there was positive. The only restaurant open was the Riveria however it was more than adequate for us as it had a wide range of food and catered for me the vegetarian. The buffet breakfast was simple with a variety of hot meals, a more diverse range of cereal such as muesli would have been more interesting than the Corn Flakes and Weetbix but we could ask for extra things such as yoghurt.
A bonus was the adult only pool right next to a great swimming beach overlooking Beqa island. The snorkelling along the reef and river cruise with Captain Arthur and Junior were enjoyable activities and the waterfall tour with Joe and Marci where we swam in the small lagoon. Joe kindly made the 3 girls festive plant crowns while he was waiting for us to finish our swim.
We were on the trip for a friend’s special birthday and the staff went above and beyond to ensure the celebration was memorable.
Our ocean view rooms overlooking Beqa island and the marina were modern with balconies with which we could sit and watch the passing traffic on the river.
The resort is two and a half hours from Nadi and this was also a bonus as Desmond our driver from Tour Managers made it easy with stops wherever we wished. The distance to the resort gave us an insight to the real Fiji on the way there. We were close enough to Suva as well to visit the capital, again this was arranged at the tour desk within the lobby and we could ask for Desmond again to be our guide. The girls at the spa were friendly and were able to provide a relaxing facial and massage. There was construction and conferences on whilst we were there but they did not impact us at all as they are at a different part of the hotel. Thank you for a relaxing, fun holiday,

My partner and I decided to travel to Fiji as one of the countries open to Australia at the end of 2021 to rejuvenate from two years of study, work, and some of the struggles we faced within the two prior years of the pandemic. The Pearl Resort was an accessible option and proved to be a fitting one. We were able to afford the ocean view, which was a tranquil sight to wake up to every morning. As we were on a budget we were more than capable of managing it with the resort's menus, activities, and guide to activities outside the resort as well. Perhaps the standout was the community of staff at the resort as everyone was generous and accommodating throughout our stay. Many staff members went above and beyond in their service, remembering our names, and offering additional service without asking for anything in return, which is extremely generous considering the minimum wage in Fiji at the moment. When we were departing, we were even treated to a farewell song which honestly was very emotional and bookended a really special trip. We had a great Christmas and New Years there and the community was fun-loving and friendly throughout the entire experience. The culture and the staff at The Pearl Resort definitely deserve a lot of praise and I wish them the best of luck and health in 2022.

Spent a week running a course in one of their conference rooms. Excellent service from the events manager and a good value conference package (room, food, refreshments, flipcharts etc). The hotel is comfortable and the staff are delightful. We had a marina view but there are also garden and ocean views available. The conference food was basic food but tasty. The a la carte menu was a tasty mix of Fijian, European and Indian and the breakfasts were plentiful. Service was sometimes a little slow so you had to go and find somebody to ask for a coffee, for example. Coffee in the Riviera restaurant is mediocre, but when it opens, the restaurant by the pool does an ok flat white. The spa experience was excellent and included some free massage vouchers. There are two swimming pools - one for families and a 15m one just for swimming. The family pool area was a comfortable place to hang out although the bar staff were not always visible. The beach is fine for swimming but when windy the waves can be rough. Dive centre offers a shark dive and is slickly run, if a little commercialised. Daily trips around the area as well as cultural activities are available although we didn't have time to make use of these - these cost extra. As resorts go, this is a good value one and is very well suited to conferences (and, from what I understand), weddings!

We are not very active so didn't play golf or go kayaking. We both had a massage which was wonderful. There are a number of treatments starting at around $A100 but you will need to make a booking. We did the sunset cruise which we enjoyed and also did a tour to a local village which was a great experience. meals were great- either at the Riverside restaurant or the poolside restaurant. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there
