This is one of my most favorite holidays. I went with my adult daughter and had so much fun. Even though it rained most of the time there was lots of activities put on by the hotels entertainment team. The staff were so lovely and friendly, the food was amazing. The only downside was it's quite remote although there is a bus stop right outside if you want, and a supermarket 10 minutes walk away. Would highly recommend a stay here. We will definitely come back.

The resort was overall, just "OK". Travelers need to know The Pearl is 2.5 hours from the Nadi airport, on rough roads, through villages (where you see quite a bit of poverty), in an older car that was late, because he had a flat tire. The Pearl needs a good facelift and improvements. Get ready to trip (and fall) on uneven floor tiles. The large pool needed resurfacing. The food is OK, but we found Fijian food wasn't our favorite. The breakfast is very good and plentiful! Forget about "happy hour" drinks at the pool. It could take 20 minutes and they were often out of ingredients, or you had to retrieve it yourself from the other bar (which didn't have happy hour at the same time.) Drinks were not consistent, depending on who made them. Food and drinks are quite expensive, but you have to remember much (most?) of it is imported. The resort staff are friendly, but hard to deal with, if you have any issues. Getting a wash cloth and resupplied with soap/shampoo was problematic. The bottom floor of our building had sewer back up and the had to move all the guests. As we didn't want to make the 2.5 hour trip back to the airport in the middle of the night on potentially dangerous roads in an older vehicle (we would have had to leave at 2:00 or 3:00am) for an early flight, we decided to leave late afternoon the previous day and stay at a hotel near the airport. They refuse to let us cancel that last night. (However, Expedia stepped in and refunded that last night.)…

It was a great staying, from our room we could view Beqa Island on the horizon. The hotel location was very central to all the outdoor activities we have planned. Room was neat and staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Loved the live music on the weekend.

This was our 3rd family trip to Fiji. We usually stay in Nandi but decided to try somewhere different and we are so glad we did! The staff here were the absolute highlight of our trip. The activities staff were amazing with the kids, which gave us time to really relax. The massage I had at the spa was incredible. Karishna. had the strongest hands! The food was fantastic! I was a little nervous after reading some of the reviews, but the staff told us that their new chef started only a few weeks ago. One thing my husband and I really loved was not having the crowds and hundreds of other kids running around like in other the larger hotels. We are already planning our next trip back!

My wife and I have just had a lovely 8 night stay here and we both have had a great time! The moment we arrived the staff made us feel very welcome and it never really stopped! Some awesome people and it really made the trip feel worth it! It’s all very clean and tidy and that’s great to see. They are updating a lot of the furniture outdoors and things like that too. We really enjoyed both bars/restaurants. Ate and drank our way through the menus over the course of our stay! Breakfast was always good. Wonderful couples massage during our stay and the Spa staff were much the same. Good array of activities to keep you occupied and live music at both bars pretty much every night! I have no major complaints at all. I wish the weather had been more perfect. As the windy conditions didn’t leave us much time to spend on the beach and it rained a bit so the pool wasn’t always fun to be around. Not a lot in the surrounding area. We arrived at the resort very late at night and got the biggest welcome from the staff! Our room was overlooking the ocean and pool and was so spacious. The staff are what makes the resort. Our housekeeping lady always left us a little flower arrangement. Big Joe at the pool bar was amazing! He knew so much about Fiji and made the best cocktails! The guest manager Fiona was the nicest person. We wanted to do the village tour but it was full so she set up another tour just for us and came with us on the tour! They had fire dancers and entertainment every night. We are already wanting to go back!

Alas the other bad reviews are right, was hopeful it would be different! The resort is 3 star or less at best. Surroundings are plain and dated, but rooms are ok and clean. Staff are pretty friendly but the food is bad. The breakfast is terrible with limited selection. The photos on trip advisor and booking.com etc are not what the resort actually looks like! Pacific Harbour is also run down and no nice places to eat. If heading to Suva, just stay there, maybe the Novotel or GPH, or just stay in lovely Denarau!

The resort grounds were beautiful and well cared for. The air-conditioned room was perfect, overlooking the ocean. Clean, well-maintained and even had a mini-frig. Everyone was extremely friendly. Best part was having an excellent scuba dive shop right in the resort. Three bars and two restaurants with excellent cocktails and food. They had an Indian food night one night which cost extra and Fijian dance and fireshow on another night that was free. Across the main road from the resort was a restaurant and shops. The staff helped us set up a tour, obtained a taxi for us and set up a dinner in Suva. The only drawback... the 2 pools' water were way too cold for this time of year.

We had a great stay at The Pearl! Our first stop in Fiji, driving in felt really nice and the welcome at reception was so genuine and kind, it left us excited for our trip. The grounds are really pretty, two restaurants which are pretty good, two good bars with really friendly bar staff that remember you and are genuinely happy to be there and enjoy your time with you. Infact, overall the staff had to be the highlight, everybody was so awesome and friendly. I think they do the daily activities super well here as well, Tommy and Sissi were amazing, but also Papa Joe and the main chap who runs the events was a legend too - but I forget his name. The prices are really reasonable here too I learned from across the trip. The gym has a nice view, air con and is easy to use for a quick session, the spa and massages were really nice too. The Pearl is on the 'wet' side of the island, so if you think the weather may be a bit here or there, i'd make sure you at least spend half of your holiday on the west coast or out on the islands. But this is Fiji, the weather is probably going to be great, so a stop to Pacific Harbour is definitely recommended. We started here and then went west, and I think we got it right - but for the Pearl, we would definitely stay again :)…
