My husband & I stayed for a week, mainly for the shark diving with Aqua-Trek (which is on-site, which makes it very nice) & BAD, the Luva river canoeing / trekking, and other sightseeing. Club Oceanus really is a gem. It's not the resort type with the fancy spa etc., if that's what you're looking for, but as Rob the owner put it, he wanted to make this place really feel like a club where everybody knows each other. From budget dorm rooms to fancy lofts, they've got it. Most rooms even have kitchens, that is if you wanna cook.

The grounds and buildings are nicely laid out, very meticulously kept. The Club's site right by the inlet river (where you can swim, kayak), with its own dock for boats is very nice. Rooms and bathrooms are very spacious and clean. A/C (& ceiling fan) were new and cold, but we never needed either coz the weather was very cool (min 19C, max 25C, sunny). Bathroom water pressure was a bit weak, but that's the only minor quibble.

Brizos, the onsite restaurant is very fun. Food is really good, reasonably priced and the portions are huge! 2 people can easily share an entree. Free WiFi at the restaurant area. We befriended other groups of divers during our stay, who were staying at the fancy The Pearl resort across the street, after the first day, they always came to Brizos for lunch and dinner everyday for the cool atmosphere and free WiFi. Every afternoon around 5 you'd start seeing people come over for beer (love the local beer!) and drinks and just hang out.

But as with everywhere in Fiji, the biggest asset here are the people/staff. Everybody, from Rob the owner, front office (Sanjini, Ashneel), waiters and cooks, grounds crew, all strive to make your stay as pleasant as possible. They never tire to check on you and go out of their way to fulfill all your requests.

Any kind of activity you want to do in Pacific Harbour, they can arrange it for you. One evening I was just casually mentioning about a particular dish that was not in Brizos' menu, and the cook whipped it up for us! Aqua-Trek staff were equally professional and courteous (this is by no means a divers only accommodation. During our stay there were families, non-diver couples, game fishers, etc.)

Just sit back, chill and live on Fiji time. They'll do the rest. We'll definitely be back. Highly, highly recommended!

The location cannot be more perfect for those who join the shark dive with Aqua Trek as the dive shop is located right inside the resort, next to the bar and bistro. By staying in this resort, one can walk out of the room, finish the breakfast, and then go diving right away in minimal carry and luggage. After the dive, you can simply go back to the room for a hot shower. Need no worry at all! Staff are all nice, friendly and helpful. Rooms are well furnished, nothing luxurious or fancy, but comfy and clean, good enough with great value of money.

Me and my husband stayed here for 4 nights to do the Upper Navua River trip, see Suva, and to relax. The rooms are spacious with nice bathrooms (waterfall shower head made up for the low pressure). The staff is incredibly helpful and genuinely cares about how your stay is. Ashneel (one of the on-site managers) made us feel at home by taking us into town to show us where to buy the best Kava and even took the day to be our tour guide in Suva! One day we went into the Arts Village to have lunch and get our laudry washed, came back to the hotel and hung our laundry on their line. The next morning our clothes had all been taken off the line and been folded for us. Their hospitality was absolutely incredible.

I spent 7 weeks in fiji earlier this year with my girlfriend. We didnt have anything booked when we showed up and we never expected the welcome we got once we arrived.
The place is amazing, we got a room to ourselves with all the homely comforts for a price we never expected! By the end of our trip we had stayed there for a total of about 4 weeks! whenever we went somewhere in fiji we were excited to return to oceanus, our "fiji family"! The staff are amazing and forever made us feel welcome. They were friendy, informative and for once we stayed at a place where the people there were truley concerned about whether or not we were having the best time we possibly could.
It is a beautiful resort, well maintained, beatifully positioned and pretty much has everything we wanted while on a holiday in fiji. We were sad to leave.
Great food, lovely room and awesome people. When we think of fiji, we think of club oceanus. Thankyou Rob and all the staff you truely made our trip unforgetable!!!
We cant wait to return, Nic and Michelle

Room was clean and comfortable. No frills. The faucet in the bathroom sink was loose and shook when I operated it. There is a tiny pool but nothing else for entertainment, so it is not really a resort and certainly nothing for children. No beach access. Restaurant and free restaurant also basic but filling. There are also some restaurants and shops in walking distance. Staff were mostly nice especially the property manager who is really helpful. But when I arrived in evening there was no one behind the counter. I had to ask one the guys sitting nearby and he agreed he was the receptionist and took me to my room without smiling even once.

This place is good only for divers since there is a good PADI dive shop on the premises .

We stayed 3 nights at this hotel and were happy. Rooms were good, the garden tidy and the food good in the restaurant. The premises felt safe and staff were attentive and friendly.

We dived with the on-site dive shop that is also recommended for shark feeling dives as well as other dives.

From the express bus stop to the hotel it's less than 100 m walk. Other restaurants are within 1 km.

Came on a solo trip to dive and booked a room for myself. Didn't want to do a full on resort as you could be anywhere in the world in one of those and that isn't for me. This is quite nice and in walking distance to a number of local places. There's a dive shop on site but I was diving with another outfit that picked me up each day and dropped me off again.

Room was nice, kind of cute and had air con which was great. Also had jobs etc but I ate out every day.

The staff were amazing and all knew me by name which was quite humbling.

In short a nice place to stay if you're happy to go out to eat! The restaurant on site had some nice meals but you might be blasted by mosquitoes eating them in the outdoor area at night.

Wifi is at the bar only - don't rely on it. When you land at nadi buy a SIM card with 15gb of data!

After 6 nights at The Pearl South Pacific across the street we had two nights at Club Oceanus. Even though the price is much lower I liked it much better - but that is probably because the weather was too bad while we were there so we couldnt enjoy all the facilities.

The bathroom at oceanus was much better though.
If in Pacific Harbour we would definately recommend oceanus. The staff was very helpful as well - and we had many great dinners at the restaurant - with much better prices than at the Pearl.

I am writing this as I am staying here.
Club Oceanus staff picked up where Uprising Resort screwed up my reservation and lost my reservation.
Esh, the general manager was fabulous in email communications to confirm my near-last minute reservations (no thanks to Uprising). He was also fabulous on my arrival.
Tima, the head housekeeper was equally as welcoming on my arrival--lovely woman.
I initially booked the dorm ( which was clean and spacious), but learned that I could move to a private room due to availability. I did so.
The room was alway kept clean and stocked of needs.
One plus, is the staff alway remembered my name and greeted me. A very nice touch and it made me feel at home.
Aqua-trek diving operates out of the same property. As of May 2013, they are PADI certified. Fantastic dive team. They also remember my name and greet me daily. They are professional, and take dive safety seriously.
Currently they do Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday shark feelings. This is a 2-dive feeding on each of these days with a 1- hour dive interval.
Touks, their head shark feeder is very knowledgeable about sharks, and if engaged, will tell you much about them.
The shark feed dive is a MUST. You will have a very different appreciation for sharks after.
Note: there are no cages for people to hide in. It is all in the open with the dive team having hand poles on hand to keep the sharks from invading your space.
With being here the beginning of May, it is very quiet, and not much night activity, but works for me......escaping the everyday....go, go, go, of the corporate world. Is nice just to be able to decompress.
The property has no beach, but you can walk 3 minutes to the beach thru one of the other resorts without issue.
Also, if you want, the Arts Village is only a 10 minute walk, and there are literally 3 convenience stores outside the property for snacks, drinks, and such.

This is a riverside, little motel of a place that also has Aqua Trek divers (Beqa Shark Dive) right on its premesis. Stayed in the suite for $120 a night, decent room, though TV etc (all of them apparently) don’t work here.

The place is extremely quiet, not far from the beach and a 10 min walk from the “center” of town at Pacific Harbour Getting back to Club Oceanus, staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, food is excellent. Local fresh fish and some Indian influences are on the menu. Wifi is present at the restaurant on a patio by the river, peaceful in summary.

This is the de facto hotel usually for those buying dive packages with Aqua Trek, an outstanding operator and well worth the time if you like sharks. Drivers to / from Nandi are part of the Aqua trek deal, though drivers and taxis are easy to organize if you need to go Suva about 40 min, which has amazing party life on Friday or Saturday and great to watch a local rugby game on the main fields in town (Sat afternoon?).

My response will be too late but I don't recommend this place at all. It is run down with poor maintanace and I checked in, my family hated it so I left straight away. We could have put up for one night but boy, I would not recommend.
