Lovely welcome.
Upon arrival, a Fijian welcoming song is sung by staff at the resort entrance to you.
Unfortunately our Beach Bure wasn't yet available at 3.15pm so we were escorted to Dicks Place to pass time with an enjoyable drink purchase.
Beach bures are not necessarily child free, very young children staying a few bures down from us. There were more families than couples on the resort.
We enjoyed a five night stay around the 23rd December 2021.
Four nights in beach bure - and one night in lagoon bure - unfortunately they couldn't accommodate us for five in the BB for whatever reason.
Reception had us leave BB at 10am and do whatever we planned to do on the island until the Lagoon bure key was ready for collection which didn't take place until 3pm(repeatedly checking at reception), unsure for the delay as housekeeping was cleaning the Lagoon Bure at 9.30 am. This day would have been more enjoyable if we had access to our own bathroom etc after our beach activities
considering the cost etc..
Some general maintenance to public areas would be ideal.
We dined at Dicks Place for all our meals. Pleasantly surprised by the quality and variety of food choice, amazing seafood for Christmas dinner .
Buffet breakfast and dinner, set menu lunch, we usually requested a fruit platter to enjoy after lunch. Delicious fruits to be had literally falling from the trees.
Special requests for anything else you might wish are welcomed by the friendly staff.
Beautiful plants and amazing bird life, crabs and toad activity to be enjoyed while walking the tracks etc🌞

We stayed in a 2 bedroom villa (33-right behind the pool/restaurant area), which was perfect for our family of 5. Staff were all very friendly. Rooms and grounds are beautiful, very clean and well kept. Plenty of fresh shortbread and bottled water was delivered daily to our room. Stunning location. The resort accommodation is well spaced out. We had a massive lawn but were still really close to the beach. Even when it’s busy, the resort doesn’t feel busy at all and service was prompt. There aren’t many young children around, so ideal if you like a quieter resort or don’t require a kids club.
Both the restaurant and cafe food & drinks were delicious. Loved the Kokoda lesson and visiting the salad bar which had Kokoda while waiting for lunch. You could probably ask what the restaurant’s buffet theme is and eat at the cafe that night if it’s not your taste. We loving walking around the island and riding the bikes, however these really need repaired/replaced more often. Enjoyed kayaking and paddle boarding - were always plenty available.
The 2 pools are great. There were a few days where all the cabanas and loungers had towels on them by 8am, but no one used them or the pool til later in the day - which was frustrating. Be great if they had a policy where they moved gear if guests left it unattended for too long. I only saw the pool bar manned once (during the manager’s cocktail hour). I would have used it if it was available during the day. We did the Shell island visit later in the day, which was just a visit to the lovely ladies selling souvineers, and the only tour was a look through the closed school gates. I’d recommend doing the visit during school hours to get more out of it. Book trips a few days in advance to avoid missing out. The bay is really shallow so the water is well out during low tide. This didn’t bother us at all. We just kayaked over to Plantation to snorkel, used the pool or did the included sandbar snorkelling trip which is always at low tide. The island bar is great. We considered ordering a BBQ pack to cook over there but we were enjoying the restaurant too much. Was a beautiful spot to hang out. The store was well stocked and there’s an ANZ ATM just outside. We all loved Musket Cove and would return for sure.

This was my second time in Musket Cove Island, Resort & Marina and I didn't think it would be better than the first time had been but it was!! The moment we arrived to the last second in the resort/on the island it was just perfect. The staff welcomed us as the ferry arrived to the island and everybody made sure we would have the best time there. As a returning guest I was given a fruit platter from the staff, it was so thoughtful of them! Our accomodation was a garden bure with an extra outside shower located on the side of the building. It had a large bedroom with a king size bed , a living room area with two sofas that could be comfortable used as single beds and a large bathroom with separete toilet. We also had a cute kitchenette with a small fridge, a tea kettle and a sink. The body wash, the shampoo and conditioner provided were all Pure Fiji products which I love. I gladly recognised that they had opted for environmental friendly dispensers instead of using individually packed toiletries. The food was amazing, it was plenty option to choose from. The activities we could sign up for were amazing, both on the island and the excursion ones. Honestly, all I can wish for now to go back there as soon as possible. Hopefully this time I won't need to wait another 6 years to enjoy the hospitality and the friendliness of the staff at Musket Cove. Thanks Mere, Mary, Saula, Emily and everyone who contributed to our perfect vacation.

Went on this trip with my four traveling buddies and splurged for the beachfront bures. I won't lie, I had some buyer's remorse before the trip but once we got there it was totally worth it. Imagine opening up your shutters in the morning and facing a white sand beach with turquoise blue water...that's exactly what you get.
The staff was hands down the friendliest I've ever encountered at a resort. They seemed to genuinely appreciate us being there, and many actually came to know our names. The spa was fabulous and they even had a special going with 3 hour long treatments for $135 US! I've seen others comment on the snorkel trip (which is daily, and free) and I think it was undersold - YOU DON'T WANT TO MISS IT! 10 minute boat ride out to the sandbar, absolutely littered with coral reefs and tons and tons of colorful tropical fish. Absolutely outstanding!
The resort has its own farm and I found all the fruits and vegetables to be absolutely delicious. The salads were great, as were the pizzas and I could have had the tuna poke every single day. During our stay there were only a handful of kids but if kids are not your thing, guess what, there's an adult pool off to the side. Each day we were the only ones there!
I would highly recommend this resort.

We’re home from a great stay at Musket Cove, and we wish we could turn around and go right back. The perfect small island location in Fiji, with the friendliest, hardest-working staff we’ve ever encountered at a hotel or resort. From Cliff, Tamarie and Suala in guest services, to Ruth, Api, Druma and the whole team at the activities bure, to sweet Inny, who made us feel like the most important guests at Dick’s Place every time we arrived for a meal, everyone went above and beyond to welcome us and make us feel at home. Many of them learned our names on the first day and gave us a personal greeting every time they saw us on the property. We loved the spacious bures, with a housekeeping staff that attended to every detail of the room, and brought water, fresh flowers and delicious shortbread cookies every day.
And yes, it’s the tropics, so you’re going to get mosquitoes on the outside, geckos on the inside, and bullfrogs on your lawn…but you’re also going to get the incredible Fiji island life, with gorgeous beaches, warm water, amazing coral and sea life, and the best snorkeling we’ve ever done.
The only thing we wouldn’t recommend was Trader Cafe. We tried it three times, and all three times we experienced very slow, poor service and an indifferent attitude from the staff. We even had to leave without eating once because we were scheduled for an excursion and had been waiting over an hour for our food. They also serve paying customers from the Marina, so between that and the all-inclusive guests at the resort, maybe it’s just too much to handle. But that was the only disappointment on an otherwise wonderful experience! Vinaka Musket Cove!

Bula Safari, - thanks for taking the time to write a review and we are so glad you enjoyed your stay with us. We've [passed your comments onto the Team at the Cafe - fair to say it does get very busy especially if we have a lot of yachties in. We are all looking forward to welcoming you back one day soon - Vinaka from all of the team at the Resort

Have been to Fiji several times and stayed in various accomodation both on islands and the mainland down the Coral Cost. However Musket Cove is by far the best place we have stayed at. Others have been more luxurious but none have had the atmosphere, the pristine aqua waters and the feeling of total relaxation as Musket cove. The staff were like every where in Fiji wonderful. The food was exceptional and the Lagoon Bure was large and very comfortable with floor to ceiling wooden shutters and a large deck over the water. You can either swim in the massive pool with swim up bar or walk a few metres to the beach. Will definitely go Bach. For us this time of year is perfect as it is before the very busy season and therefor was quieter.
Beautiful place ,well maintained and the food and drinks were not expensive about the same as in Australia

Our beach front Burre was beautiful, although the air-conditioning was weak. We did have to wait for the water to get hot. The bed was fine. The restaurant was very good. The pool is beautiful. They offer a free snorkeling trip a 9 AM daily and a $10 snorkeling trip some afternoons. I would stay here again.

We went for a company teambonding trip with our family and we absolutely enjoyed it! From the beautiful blue ocean, to the delicious meals and friendly staff. Because this was our first trip to the resort, we were given a complimentary trip to the Malolo Sand Bar for snorkeling which was beautiful! I really enjoyed the meals, and the dinners are buffet. The desserts were also equally delicious 🤤
We stayed in one of the Garden Bure’s which was really nice, the beds were comfortable and there’s aircon but it also had two ceiling fans. One for the bedroom and the other for the sitting room. The bathroom had everything except for a bath soap. There was shower gel available but I prefer using a bath soap and I’m not sure if this was the same for every room, but our room didn’t have a bath soap so we had to buy one from the Store (or shop) on the island. Oh yes, there’s a Store that sells everything you would find at a supermarket, juice, snacks, fruits and veges.
All in all it was really nice, I really enjoyed the trip and would definitely go again.
Vinaka Vakalevu Musket Cove!!

We’ve visited many times when staying nearby.
This time we booked to stay at Muscat Cove for one reason really, in the past we noticed little to no children around.
Although there were only a few kids from the resort, the down side is the “yachties”. They allowed the kids to do what they wanted including jumping around us in the pool and bar areas. Staff were constantly reminding them of the rules and to respect other guests.
There’s plenty to do or not do, depending on your style. I highly recommend the massage spa, one of the best I’ve had in over twenty years of visiting Fiji. So good we went twice in on week.
The food was very good. Those who have stayed at other resorts get to know the monotony of meals rolling into one another. This was not the case here.
Like most quality resorts each night was a theme night. Lot’s of choice and deserts just kept coming.
Did I mention the view, if you want South Pacific views from the minute you get of the boat or plane, then this is the place for you.
The resort also has one of the best supermarkets I’ve come across for Fiji islands. Prices are reasonable and brands from all over the world.
Lastly, if you’ve got the little extra cash then do the island hops, dolphin safari, and to maximise your stay, pay the extra cash and fly in and out. 15 mins from Nadi International and you’re there. (About 2x the boat cost per person).
Overall it’s value for money. You shouldn’t be left disappointed, the staff will do their best to ensure that.

From the moment we arrived at the airport and were taken to the Musket Cove lounge we knew we had chosen the right place. The highlight was the staff, every single one stopped to talk to our toddler, she was treated like visiting royalty. Another standout from other resorts was how happy the staff seemed, singing and joking and laughing with each other all of the time creating a welcoming and fun atmosphere. No matter how busy it was, they gave us their full attention and always had time to chat or assist us.
My daughter has a dairy allergy and I am pregnant and every care was taken to look after our requirements, in particular I appreciated staff offering to carry my clingy toddler wherever we were going.
Rooms were spacious and comfortable with some minor maintenance issues, but after arriving at our next resort (which was much more expensive) we realised what we really missed was the happy staff and the space at Musket Cove.
The only con was much of the resort floors not get a breeze making it quite hot.
