My wife and I stayed at Phoenix VII for a long weekend and our daughter came over for part of the weekend. We were in a one bedroom unit with a full bath and a half bath. The bedroom had a king size bed and the living room had two comfortable chairs and a sleeper sofa. All of the units face the beach (we were on the 8th floor with gorgeous views of the gulf and the pass, as well as the pool). The kitchen had granite counter tops and stainless appliances. This building has a large outdoor pool and a pretty large indoor pool. The beach access is a boardwalk across the sand dunes. You can take your own beach chairs or rent chairs and umbrella from the service on the beach. Keep in mind that these are condo units, and even though the unit we stayed in was managed by Brett Robinson, you will get one roll of toilet paper per toilet, one roll of paper towels, one packet of dishwasher detergent, and one garbage bag. The bathrooms have the towels and washcloths you will need along with a small bottle of shampoo/shower gel, a small bar of soap for the sink and a slightly larger bar of soap for the shower. If you are going to be there for several days or a week, you will want to pick up additional paper products, garbage bags, etc at the store. The kitchen has dishes, flatware, pots and pans, coffee maker, toaster, etc, and there was a washer and dryer in the unit. When you leave, you are instructed to have all of the trash out of the unit and all of the dishes washed and put away, so make sure you allow time for the dishwasher to run its cycle.
This is a very nice property in the middle of Orange Beach, close to shops and dining (although you will want to have a car). The unit was spotlessly clean and we had a great time. Oh, and the private balcony had a table with four chairs and one lounger. Check them out, you will be glad you did.

On August 8th after driving 10 hours with 4 children and 2 grandbabies we arrived at our condo: Seacrest 908 Gulf Shores shortly after 8pm to find we did not have power. I contacted maintenance and they arrived within an hour, checked breakers and GFI's and said they would have an electrician come out immediately. It was already 10pm, we were tired and hot (with no AC) so I contacted Brett Robinson's customer service and they said they would transfer my family to one of their properties the Phoenix VII room 1516 in Orange Beach for no additional charge. We arrived at the new condo but it had not been cleaned (they were not expecting anymore guests for the night). They called out an emergency house keeper who arrived right around 11pm and had a spotless room for us by 1:30am . To my surprise when we walked into the room it was an amazing upgrade. We went from 1 bedroom 1 bed, bunkbeds, a sleeper sofa and 1 bath to 2 bedrooms 3 beds and a sleeper sofa, and 2 baths. I had paid $1456 for 6 nights for the Seacrest this new condo would have easily been $2800 for 6 nights and as I said before they upgraded my family for no additional charge. The next morning I turned in my Keys to Seacrest 908 and explained what had happened. The staff apologized profusely and refunded my first nights stay. This is the 3rd time in 4 years that I have used Brett Robinson and the first time I have had a situation arise. They took care of it above and beyond my expectations and I will definitely spread the word to my friends and family, write the positive reviews, and be back with Brett Robinson next year. There are too many names to thank that I did not get, the maintenance man who came out at 9pm, the house keeper who was called in that night at 11pm, the lady at the front desk of Islands East who arranged for the new room. I did get the name of the lady who arranged my refund the next day her name was Ms. Julie. She even went so far as to bring it to me the next day from the Gulf Shores office to the Phoenix VII in Orange Beach.

Thank you everyone for all that you have done to make my family vacation a very memorable one,
Brian Pritchard

We rented a condo at Phoenix VII directly from the condo owner. We've stayed with her at her other condo in Gulf Shores before, but this was our first time here. We really enjoyed our stay. The condo was spacious and supplied with everything we needed. The outdoor pool is huge. So big that even when it's packed it doesn't seem so. We were also concerned about being on top of each other on the beach, but that wasn't the case at all, there was plenty of room. It's also an added plus to have an indoor pool and hot tubs. We took advantage of that when the weather wasn't cooperating. There are also a number of other amenities that we didn't take advantage of such as the gym, shuffleboard, racket ball, etc. My only complaint is the elevator situation. They have 4 elevators all in the same location. Waiting to get one, especially in the morning when going down to the beach was very difficult. We were on the 2nd floor, 2 floors above the beach level and we had to wait forever for an elevator that wasn't already full. On day 3 we figured out the best thing to do is to push the up button, get on and go up and then come back down. That worked almost every time. Other than that we were very pleased. We're going to do some pros and cons of each place before we decide whether to come back. One last tip, be sure to go to City Donuts across the street, you won't be sorry.

Condo 7502 in Phoenix 7 is a great location BUT...this particular condo, although it has an updated kitchen is dark and dingy! There is too much furniture, all dark, so who knows how dirty it is but if the area rug is an indication...yuk! The shower head was coming out of the wall and they came and tightened it BUT you can't position the shower head so you have to stand over the faucet end of the shower to get wet! Add to this the constant drilling everyday in the condo above beginning at 9:00 A.M. and stopping only for breaks and lunch and this has not been a relaxing week at the beach! Make sure to bring towels to place on the 2 chairs on the balcony because they are old and worn and dirty! The mattress, though soft is comfortable as long as nobody moves! On the upside, the linens and towels were clean.

We enjoy coming to the Phoenix vii every year. Our family has young children and teenagers. The kids love the indoor heated pool. The hot tubs are nice and hot. The outdoor pool is nice but usually too cold for me. The beach is beautiful. They offer beach chairs with umbrellas for a fee. The older kids enjoyed playing sand volleyball outside.

We stayed in unit 1407. The condo was clean, had a great view. The shower was hot and had good water pressure. The bed was comfortable, the bedroom was up front near the door and had some hallway noise at night from inconsiderate loud people passing by, but otherwise a peaceful stay. Everything functioned as should with the appliances. The walk down to the beach is a little further than at some other places, but it wasn’t impossible. The pool area was nice, needed a bit of tile work and definitely needed a few more umbrellas for guests around the pool. Overall, We enjoyed our stay.

We stayed in #7612 for Memorial Day week. Phoenix properties are great, but this condo was just average.
Cons:
Direct TV is not working for most of the time, even though they actually came out to the condo the next day to fix. Not enough chairs on the balcony for the 3 bedroom unit. The ones that were there were quite old. Can be noisy as this is a large complex. Uncomfortable master bed.
Pros:
Great master shower! Location is great. Comfy living room furniture
I wonder if these units have been sitting idle since COVID has been an issue for the last year? The TV guy seemed to suggest that when explaining why we were having an issue all week.
All in all a great time at the beach. Next time we will stay on a Phoenix property, just not this one.
Good eats: Doc’s seafood (rum runner by Ms. Claudine!) excellent, Steamers at San Roc good but pricey, Wolf Bay a solid 8/10.
Avoid Tacky Jack’s - overpriced and not worth it.

Less than 30% of the employees wore masks either at all or properly. A nose out (50% risk) was the best you could hope for. Of the fraction (~30%) that wore properly many were the inadequate bandana masks, proven to be ineffective. Even behind the front desk NO ONE was masked before I walked up (this fills the air with dangerous aerosols). 1 of 3 masked properly (others were nose out), then only for a moment. I'll be anxiously waiting the next 14 days.

The condo was nice and well maintained, as was the pool and area. The staff's poor covid hygiene encouraged poor behavior by other visitors, who appeared to be rather thick on the subject. No wonder AL rates are so bad. How can human beings be SO thick?!

The beach was beautiful. If we all survive we may return in better times, but never again in Covid time.

Phoenix 7 is a good place overall. Front desk is amazing and helpful!
DO NOT rent unit 915!
Owner must be trying to squeeze cash out of this unit because it is NOT maintained.
Master Toilet is stained to the point of nastiness.
Toilet seat is broken.
Tub is discolored and doesn’t drain quickly.
Blow dryer doesn’t work.
These are inexpensive fixes.
Chair is so dirty! I covered it in a sheet before allowing anyone to sit on it.
Both screens going to balcony were broken and off the tracks.
Only 3 chairs around table on balcony.
Front door doesn’t seal so wind whips in around the sides.
Manual key! Who does this anymore? You bet two keys at check in and will pay if lost. So if you have several adults staying, only two keys. Another inexpensive fix that would bring them up a few decades. Just install a keypad!
Kitchen! Not 1 coffee mug provided. Minimum essentials in all areas. The knives were so bad!
Not one blanket in the entire condo for three beds. Not one full length mirror.
Paint buckets in closet. Extra pictures for the wall in closet.
This was not the condo I originally booked. The rental company changed me at the last minute and in that short time, I couldn’t find a monthly rental. Fortunately, the weather was perfect and we stayed out of the condo most of the time.

I saw some of the reviews for past experiences in Unit 914 before we booked. What we found was a far cry from those experiences. The ones we saw were not recent, so maybe that's why. To be clear, this is Phoenix V11 Unit 914, on Orange Beach. Yes, any unit facing the Gulf has the best of all views. Yet, when it rains for your first two days, and you hope to grab your book and sink into a comfortable seat, don't count on this unit. The furniture needs to be updated. There is not a single place that is comfortable. The furniture is old. When first entering it looks like the picture, until you sit. My best description of the sofa bed is it is so delapidated you can feel the frame of the bed through the sofa cushions. The chair is not better. We have rented condos for many, many years. This was our worst experience and my first ever review. They need to invest in their patrons.
