I had stayed in this hotel with 5 rooms for 2 nights. Had taken this hotel for guests on my brothers marriage. I was concerned a lot about safety, sanitization, and other precautionary measures. When i reached there i was welcomed with proper sanitization of bags and myself. The rooms are quite spacious for the price. The hotel was very co-operative. The desk officer was very polite and he knew his business well. He would greet me every time and care for me and my guests. A few special words for the manager. She was the one who is to be applauded because she is the sole person responsible for staff and the facilities provided, right from the pricing, checkin, and checkout. It was a comfortable, affordable, hotel for my vacation in kolkata.

I had a comfortable stay...the staff and location was very good, service also good. Hygiene was also very good, value for money...... I would surely recommend as it has a very good location, park street, malls, esplanade, Camacho street all major shopping areas are nearby....

The Roland road is city centre, everything is nearby one can look out to explore kolkata.

booked a room through goibibo on dt. 8.1.2020, confirmation received from hotel and also talked with staff/executive over telephone but after visit/check-in hotel staff charged Breakfast charges however booking was including breakfast and confirmation email also received from your hotel. This matter is very serious for us.

Dear Guest, We apologize for the confusion. You had booked an EP Plan on Goibibo (Room only without breakfast). Goibibo also sent you a booking voucher stating that you had paid for an EP Plan. You can verify your Goibibo voucher. Our reservation system sent an automated email, which mentioned the wrong room type. This was merely a mapping error on the part of our booking engine, and was explained to you by our staff. You still chose to eat breakfast knowing it would be chargeable. Just checked out 5 mins back and paid extra 1200rs for staying in same room which I had booked through make my trip.
Emerald suit category was booked which had pictures of this hotel rooms but is a guesthouse and situated 500 meters ahead. You have to walk down to hotel for buffet etc.
These are rooms turned into guesthouse in some nearby society.
Then they ask you to pay extra for upgrading your room when questioned they simply ask you to talk to make my trip.
One of the worst experience till now.
Please be aware when you book this property.

The price is also much less than the main building rooms. If you are unhappy with your room, we are happy to cancel the booking and initiate a refund on the spot. If we have the availability, we also try to accommodate you in our main building at a price difference. And although it’s in a separate area, it is an integral part of Roland hotel. A very good and comfortable stay with a nice hospitality from the entire staff, especially the GM who is very particular for management of good hospitality for the guests. The location is good and food quality was awesome. Stayed here for a weeks time twice in last couple of months and found the entire atmosphere good and safe....for individuals, couples and families..

It's a very great place to stay. Rooms are very neat and clean. The staffs are very polite as well as very helpful. The hotel is at a great location away from traffic so yes you can have a peaceful night. The hotel is also near to park street which lets you access to all major pubs and clubs in kolkata. The prices are so pleasable. Great place to stay!

If you’re looking for a centrally located hotel in the city then this is a good option in the budget category. Rooms are good looking, breakfast is really nice and staff is courteous. My husband and I have been regulars here for quite some years. Highly recommended!

I recently stayed at Roland Hotel, and I must express my extreme dissatisfaction with the entire experience. The most glaring issue was the appalling internet connection. Despite their claims of providing seamless connectivity, I found myself struggling to maintain any form of online presence. This was particularly frustrating as I needed the internet for both personal and professional purposes.
Moreover, the staff’s attitude towards this problem was shockingly unprofessional. When I approached them regarding the internet outage, their responses were inconsistent and unhelpful. One moment I was watching TV, and the next, they denied any internet availability for the TV service. It was baffling to encounter such contradictory statements from different staff members.
But what truly added to my disappointment was the billing discrepancy. The hotel’s website had clearly stated a 30% discount on the invoice, yet the bill I received had no such deduction. When I inquired at the reception, their explanation regarding tax additions did not align with the final amount, which was still inexplicably 2500 more than expected. I felt compelled to make the payment, given the circumstances, especially with my two-year-old son with me, but it felt like being subjected to the hotel’s unfair practices.
Attached is the invoice that highlights this unfair treatment. I strongly advise against staying at Roland Hotel. The level of service is severely lacking, and it seems customer satisfaction is not their priority, especially once payment is received. Please be wary of these issues if you consider staying here.

1. Internet Connectivity: Be prepared for potentially poor or unreliable internet service, which could be a significant inconvenience, especially if you require consistent online access.
