I stayed there for a brief stay of about 12hours. I booked the room using my accor points. The checkin process was very slow. The guests before me took a lot of time, and i found that the executive doing the checkin was a bit slow. I was helped with my luggage to the room on 2nd floor. The room was fantastic. I really like spacious rooms and the one which also have a small kitchenette. The view from the room was also nice. The room had a floor to ceiling glass window for the entire width of the room, which gave the room a lot of light and openness when required. (Of course Blackout curtains were there to block light when required). The room had a very comfortable double bed with ambient lighting all around. A lounger sofa by the window. The TV unit acted as a partition between the bed area and the utility area. The utility area had a work desk with electric switch (suitable to do work on laptop, a mini round table with 2 chairs to use as a dinning setup. Of course a kitchenette with microwave, induction stove, chimney etc. The utensils were not there, but i am sure, if one would aks, the hotel would happily provide. A small fridge, safety box, iron board etc were defiantly available as a Accor 5Star standard room The Bathroom had an electric rollup blind enclosed in a glass wall, this was really fancy. The bathing water temperature and pressure gave a pleasant bathing experience. I found that there should have been a glass door to the bathing area and the WC area as well which was a miss. I had trouble sleeping at night due to very loud birthday celebrations going on till 4:00 AM. I think in covid times firstly the parties and gatherings should have not been allowed. I feel about 15-20 ppl were there in a room and making loud noises, singing etc. At 4:30 i called up reception to sort it out - which they did. but in first place this should have never been allowed. The buffet breakfast at the hotel restraunt was very nice. I even enjoyed dinner in the room. I was well guided by Mr. Neil (in room dining supervisor) for helping me select from the menu and also treating me with Bengali sweets after my meal. The in-room dining was quick , responsive and followed covid protocols nicely. As my stay was brief, i was not able to check other areas of the hotel.…

Amazing Birthday weekend spent in this lovely property.I am glad our previous booking in a different property got cancelled, for us to experience this.Hubby had planned this surprise for my birthday.I would like to thank each and every staff of Novotel who made my birthday even more special. The room was spacious and the view was amazing. It was well located. Breakfast spread was delicious and the morning staffs at the dinning area were making sure that our first meal of the day would be just prefect.
It was a nice experience staying in Novotel Kolkata, Mr. Shekhar has assisted us with greetings from entry till the whole stay. We have three course meal and food was very good and lots of varieties. Restaurant attendants are very courteous and active, even on sunday rush time they arranged a good seat for us in quick time.
We had a normal stay in Kolkata at the Novotel Hotel. It was our wedding anniversary, and I requested the reception for some flowers but they denied. May be because of covid. Not sure why. Interiors were okay. Cleanliness okay. Service was good. Food was bad, way too salty. It spoilt our day but after informing them, Chef Deepankar Paul made sure we had the best dinner at their restaurant, Studio. The table was well decorated & floored with amazing dishes. We were treated well with complimentary wine too. 🧚 Sriparna, the guest relation manager, handled it well. It was a lovely experience at the dinner. Special mention: Debraj, you are too perfect man. Extremely polite & well spoken. Knows how to attend guests.
