I stayed in the hotel for 3 nights, and had an absolutely lovely and delightful stay. The rooms were beautiful, clean, comfortable and well provided. The staff starting from the person at the reception, the hotel guards and the housekeeping staff were extremely polite and courteous at all points.
Location wise the hotel is located very conveniently with a stone's throw from city centre. We had gotten our rooms with breakfast included, and the food was delicious and the menu was different on each day! All in all , it was a delightful stay.

This property is in Sector 1, Salt Lake, Kolkata near City center mall and nearby high-streets. It was a log stay over two weeks and it was unplanned one. But the kind of services I was offered was just amazing. The food quality, cleanliness, the hygiene practice, and the courtesy of each and every staff wearing a natural beautiful smiling gesture will make you feel as if you are just at the right place. And, if you travelling with kids, there is a top-deck swimming pool for them to enjoy.
The hotel staff across the hierarchy, i.e. from Property manager Mr. Ravi to front desk guys Kusum, Papiya, and Rupak and all other (sorry to miss their names) were always ready to delight you with their offerings.
Weather you are travelling for your business or with family, irrespective of the purpose, this fits in all offerings a city property may offer.
It will always be my preferred choice for Kolkata visit. Many thanks.

Horrible service, the staff do not know how to speak to their guests, they made me feel as if they did a favour by having me stay at the hotel even though I paid for the room. Be very careful as they will find weird ways to charge you for things that you cannot imagine. They made me change rooms to accommodate other guests, giving silly excuses, then I was locked out from my own room for more than 2 hours, they could not fix the lock. It was a really bad experience and I would not recommend this hotel or its unprofessional staff at all.

We would like you to note that every hotel charges for the damage made by the guest be it towel or any other expensive thing. We would also like you to know that your room was shifted to other floor due air conditioning was not working properly in that floor and not to accommodate new guests. Your visitor visited your room without informing the reception and created a scene at the time of checkout when we had charged you the damage charges in front of other guests. In today's world 90% of the travelers use this platform to check the hotel reputation and plan their accommodation in near future, it is an earnest request not to dilute your feedback in this platform. We always welcome negative feedback given by our guests but the same should be genuine which helps us work an extra miles on those area and improve on the same. It is a decent hotel with spacious rooms. Courteous staff. Excellent location in Salt Lake area of Kolkata very near to major shopping centre. The shower was not working with force and provisions in the room on first night was inadequate (for one person e.g. bath towel).
Restaurant - Sand gives a good view of road outside and we'll maintained & clean. Food can be better.
Overall we had a comfortable stay for two nights.

5 days very nice hotel in Kolkata. A few things need attention some of the furniture is ageing and needs to be steam cleaning to refresh examples are bedheads they are musty smelling as are the cushions for decorations. Shower recesses need a thorough steam cleaning to refresh and remove soap residue. The room I booked was very nice clean and tidy on 5th floor with street view. The pool was nice and shares with a rooftop bar and restaurant which is well staffed with courteous staff members. Breakfast was quite nice with plenty of selection. There is a gymnasium for use with a staffer to assist. Overall a very nice hotel to stay in Kolkata.

Every time I returned to my room, it felt impeccably refreshed. Paltu didn't just make the bed; he ensured every surface sparkled, towels were perfectly folded, and toiletries were neatly replenished. He even took the initiative to arrange my belongings in a way that felt thoughtful and organized.
Paltu's genuine warmth and friendly demeanor added another layer of delight to my stay. He always greeted me with a smile and a kind word, making me feel genuinely welcome. He was also very responsive to any requests I had, handling them promptly and efficiently.

We recently hosted our daughter’s 1st birthday at De Sovrani. Right from the initial booking to adjusting the booking (had to scale down due to Covid reasons), menu changes, pricing, they were extremely flexible & easy to work with. The manager Mr. Avijit Das is responsive & always ready to help. So is the staff. The food was excellent. The affiliated decor person (Bijoy) was also a delight to work with - reasonably priced & does a great job.
Just for context, we reside in the US and our expectations were as per how services work there. We’re also particular about food and decor. From all aspects, De Sovrani was a pleasure to work with and we highly recommend their banquet for events of various scale. Thank you for making our little one’s first birthday, memorable!!
