We had an invitation at the restaurant Tess at Hyatt Centric and opted for lunch. Our server Anamika helped with the menu selection right from the mocktails followed by the starters then mains and desserts. Each item on the menu was flavourful, delectable and well presented. The mocktail was tangy spicy and refreshing to beat the summer heat. However, what impressed me most is the service of each of their staff. Every time my water glass got emptied, they promptly filled it up, cleared up plates after each serving and cleaned the table in case of any mess. Everything with a smile on their face and repeatedly enquiring if we needed anything or not. The entire service to our table was managed by Anamika who is well aware about the food items on the menu and understood what we wanted and accordingly suggested us. Kudos to her and team for the great service.

Great new hotel in the heart of Kolkata, cleanliness and promptness as you'd expect at a 5 star hotel. Staff was courteous and very accommodating who catered to all our needs, special mention for Chef Neeraj, and great service by Aritra and Bijay. However, there's room for improvement: service was slow at times and sometimes attention to detail was lacking. The rooms are slightly smaller than you'd expect and they were missing basic things like shower caps and bathroom slippers which we had to ask for. It felt more like a low budget 5 star hotel in terms of overall service and professionalism.

It's a brand-new, swanky and clean property. The front office staff and the sous chef were among the best in hospitality that I've ever experienced - so Hyatt Kolkata got that right. The room was spacious, for our family of 3. Comfortable beds, and spacious walk-in wardrobe and bath area.

I had an absolutely fabulous time staying in this hotel . Right from the very friendly , extremely helpful and always smiling and welcoming staff at the reception, specially I remember Sajan , Deb , Jyothi to name a few . The door men were always there to help too . The hotel was modern , rooms very clean , the housekeeping was impeccable , I remember mr Biyoy Mitra and his colleagues doing a great service in keeping the rooms spotless. The two restaurants we dined in regularly ( as we stayed for more than a week ) served a variety of culinary options all extremely tasty and the service of the restaurant staff was excellent. At the restaurant Tess I remember extremely friendly and helpful staff like Anamika and others and at the Ya Ya Var restaurant I remember the friendly and ever so helpful staff like Sourindra , the sous chef who personally greeted us and checked if we were enjoying the meals . They often cooked home style food on special request for us in typical ‘Kolkata style ‘ . I must say having travelled widely I have not encountered such a warm and genuine hospitality from all the hotel staff who work tirelessly with a smile to ensure the comfort of their guests .

Am amazing experience, from the check in to the check out.
Sriparwana was a good hospitality attitude , she was checking on every guests dine in her restaurant.
Khadija she was the start ,from the day one I saw her smiling , she is the great assets of the restaurant.
Abhishek from HK was great in cleaning. Our room was spot on.
Aniket from FO know how to engage with every guests at lobby.
Chef Abhijit in the Breakfast asking every table regarding food quality but what I like most is that he said " everything is available " that shows how Kitchen & service team working together. Key to success for any business, keep this up.
Lastly , I would like to say thank you to Executive Housekeeper or the Head of the HK operations for having the right thought inside the bathroom ( amenities, small plant inside the ballroom etc.. ) it's all so net.
Overall , it was a great stay and I have been stayed many hotels in different countries across the globe but Hyatt Centric Kolkata staffs are amazing.

This hotel is a hidden gem in the beating heart of South Kolkata a stone’s throw away from Gariahat. It is homely and provides all the amenities one expects of a boutique hotel.
The decor is pleasant and unpretentious with a local touch. Rooms are comfortable and spacious.
The two restaurants Tess and Ya Ya Var provide quality food and cocktails. The menu is imaginative and caters to the discerning Bengali palate.
What makes this hotel truly exceptional though is the staff.
Mr Sourav Basak went out of his way to help with our booking .
At the front office Sajjan , Abhishek, Jyothi, Hrishav , Deb and Sohini went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable
We had several meals at the Tess. The food was consistently good but again it was the service that made the experience memorable. Anamika , Bipasha, Alice and Lydia made us feel at home with their warm smile.
At the Ya Ya Var the chef mr Kaushik Das went out of his way to serve authentic Bengali delicacies cooked to perfection on request. Once again the staff deserve a special mention for their warmth and hospitality. My special thanks to Sourendra, Sriparna, Shraddha Khatija Sweety , Anirban and Ankan .
Mr Mitra and Pritam kept our rooms spotlessly clean. At the front door Raju and Ajay livened up our day with a warm smile. Mr Rajkumar at the gym again provided an excellent session
Overall we had a truly comfortable stay made special by staff who embody the quintessential Bengali spirit of warmth and hospitality

I went to Tess today to celebrate mother's day with my mother. The experience was nothing short of phenomenal. The menu is unique while being thoughtfully crafted to make sure there is something for everyone's taste and liking. The taste of the food is even better with fresh ingredients and balanced flavours. Finally, the service - everyone greets you with a smile and rushes to your aid for anything you may need. Our server Anamika was a wonderful host and she helped us with the best recommendation in food and drinks. She made the experience all the more enjoyable with her wonderful service. Despite being a 5 star establishment, prices are fair for the portions and quality.
In short, Tess is not to be missed. I will surely revisit :)

We had the most amazing experience dining at Yayavar. We went with our 1 & 1/2 year old and the staff made it feel like we were dining at home. They specially made a dish for our baby girl & played with her and kept her busy while we ate ours. Looking to do a dinner date with your baby & husband then THIS is the place to be! The staff Aritra & Anirban were beyond amazing & we can’t wait to go back again.
